My name is Karen, and I am the Home Manager at Bradwell Hall, where I have been in post since December 2023. I have dedicated my career to the care sector, beginning in 1998 after college and completing my nursing qualifications in 2007. Since then, I have worked extensively with adults with complex needs, including formal mental and physical health diagnoses. By 2009, I had progressed into my first leadership position, where I began honing my skills in care management.
Throughout my career, I have remained passionate about providing individualised, person-centred care. My approach is to support each individual based on their unique needs and abilities, rather than focusing solely on diagnoses. As a manager, I believe it is essential to know the ladies and gentlemen who reside at Bradwell Hall personally; we are like a family. I also maintain strong clinical oversight of their care, which allows me to ensure that my team has the support they need to deliver the highest standards of care to every resident.
Hi, my name is Clare and I’m the head housekeeper at Bradwell Hall Nursing Home.
My role is assisting the housekeeping team on a daily basis with all general duties of housekeeping, including carpet cleaning, laundry, deep cleans, maintaining the cleanliness of bathrooms and communal areas and making sure residents’ rooms are turned out to a high standard. Due to the nature of my job, I assist on 8 units across the home and get the chance to get to know all the residents and have a daily catch up, which puts a smile on their faces. I get great pleasure in assisting the care team and always happy to help.
Hello, my name is Amy, and I am the unit manager of the Keele and Breward unit. I started working at Bradwell Hall in 2025. My experience includes working in a nursing home before moving to Bradwell Hall.
I have a passion for person-centred elderly and Nursing care and feel that my approachable attitude and skills have a positive impact on the residents and team.
Hello, my name is Michelle Wooding, and I am the Manager of the Audley Unit here at Bradwell Hall Nursing Home. I grew up in the beautiful Isle of Man, and I’ve had the privilege of working in the nursing profession for 29 years. I started my career as an auxiliary nurse and worked my way up, gaining experience in various roles. Over time, I progressed to senior care, then completed my nurse training, and became a Clinical Lead. I’ve also held roles as a Deputy Manager and Home Manager at another nursing home.
However, I decided to step down from my managerial role to become Unit Manager at Audley so I could work more closely with the residents. I truly love my job, and the relationships I build with both staff and residents are what make it so fulfilling.
I’ve been told by staff that I’m kind, caring, a good listener, friendly, and always willing to help. I pride myself on going above and beyond for both the team and the residents. One of our residents once said I’m “an angel without wings,” which touched me deeply and reinforced my passion for this work.
Being in a leadership role allows me to create a caring, supportive environment where both staff and residents feel valued. I’m proud to be part of such a dedicated team, and I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact at Bradwell Hall.
I’m Tess, the Activities Coordinator at Bradwell Hall Nursing Home, where I’ve proudly worked for 15 years. I began as a carer and was later promoted to my current role. Bringing joy and laughter to our residents is my passion, and I aim to create meaningful, personalised activities that brighten their days. I love spending time getting to know each resident individually, understanding their interests, and tailoring activities to make each moment special. I’m dedicated to giving 100% in all I do and work well with the team to ensure our residents feel cared for, engaged, and valued.
