The staff have cared for her to such a high level that she became integrated into the home's entertainment and events, having a quality of life we had never expected.
I can't praise the management and staff enough. They have made my mum's last few years so enjoyable and have supported me throughout in caring and encouragement. Their love and kindness for mum and me during mum's last days was amazing. I would not have coped without them.
Thank you very much for sharing your Mum’s time in Briar Hill House with us. It is great to hear that we have been excellent in caring and supporting your Mum. I am humbled to hear that the staff were able to make your Mum’s last days amazing and that they were able to support you as well.
This home served our father especially well.
Several members of our family have worked in the care business for many years, including as inspectors, and could not find fault with any aspect of the service. The manager sets high standards and goes above and beyond what is necessary.
Our father could be highly critical of others, so it says a lot that he got on so well with the staff.
Thank you very much for the lovely comments about Briar Hill House and the staff. It is great to hear that you believe our team goes above and beyond to meet your Father's needs.
My mum is well looked after, the staff love my mum and she has a good rapport with them.
My mum is difficult on a rare occasion due to her condition but the staff deal with it with compassion and professionally.
Thank you for these heartfelt comments. We are so happy that you entrust your Mum's care to us. Our staff love reading the recommendations that our residents, families and friends take the time to write; it really does inspire us all.
The staff are very caring staff and go out of their way to help both the residents and their visitors.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
There is more in the way of interaction and stimulation for the residents than any other home I have visited and my friend says she is very happy.
Thank you so much for your comments. It is lovely for our staff to see just how much they are appreciated by friends and family.
My brother in law was moved to three different homes, none of which came up to the all-around care and standards of this home.
We are always delighted to receive such positive feedback and so happy that friends and family take the time to recommend our home. Thank you for your lovely comments.
My experience of Briar Hill House was exceptional. My mother-in-law was only there for three weeks until she passed away. But the staff could not have been kinder, totally professional, empathetic and yet with wonderful humour. They made our last few weeks more bearable and could not have done more for us or my mother-in-law. Simply a wonderful place perfect in every way. We only wish we had come there earlier. Thank you to all at Brier Hill from the bottom of our hearts. I simply could not recommend this more highly. The wonderful staff are its making.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write these lovely heartfelt comments; it is always so rewarding for our staff to see the impact they have on our families and residents.
My mother spent only a short time here before her sad death. In that time I could not fault any aspect of the care, it was outstanding in every aspect.
In Mum's last two days I was there almost constantly. The respect and concern shown for me was also highly professional and greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your lovely comments. We appreciate you taking the time to provide such positive feedback and it is always heartening for our staff to see the impact they have on families and residents.
My mother was resident at Briar Hill House for a short period of time, up to her death. The staff and management were very supportive of the family and during mum's stay, she was treated with the utmost of care and respect. Every effort was made to encourage mum to eat, drink and cater to her spiritual and emotional needs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such lovely comments. It was our pleasure to care for your Mum.
We would like to express our heartfelt and personal thanks to ALL the staff for the care, attention and support that they afforded our Brother- in- law, and to us and any other visitor to the home.
When visiting it was plain to see that the staff were devoted and committed to providing the highest standard of care possible, often way beyond their job description or conditioned hours.
It was also plain to see that my Brother-in-law was as comfortable as he could possibly be, for which we are indebted to you for.
Without doubt or consideration, we would instantly recommend Briar Hill to any of our friends or relatives, because we have experienced the best care possible. It is difficult to find the words to adequately express/communicate our deepest thanks to you ALL for caring for our Brother-in-law!
Thank you so much for sending us your lovely comments. It is always so nice for our staff to see what their hard work and dedication means to our residents, families and friends. We truly appreciate you taking the time to put pen to paper.
My husband was a resident at Briar Hill nursing home for four years and I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the staff for the care and support that was given to him and our family.
From the moment he was admitted we felt he had joined another family such was the welcome, warmth and generosity that was shown, not only to him but to myself and family. Every single member of staff has shown and demonstrated outstanding care and devotion in their duties.
My husband was in a PVS. The standard of care and support he received was exemplary, never wavering or faltering, nothing was too much trouble, he was treated with compassion, dignity, thoughtfulness and extreme professionalism.
The staff continually performed well above and beyond that of their stipulated duties showing and demonstration exceptional attention to detail. I am sure no other care home could have delivered a better care package.
I have and will always recommend Briar Hill as the best home if anyone should need one.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. It is heart-warming for our staff to see the extremely positive impact the support and friendship they provide can have; not only for our residents but for the wider family too.
He is eating well and seems very happy.
There is a friendly atmosphere and I seem very welcome when I visit my husband.
The food is excellent.
Thank you for your thoughtful and kind words. We strive to ensure a welcoming and homely feel and our Chef will really appreciate the positive feedback regarding the food.
After three years mom eventually passed away in March 2018. In those three years, mom received exceptional care which in my opinion and those close to her extended her life beyond expectancy. The care given which included excellent nursing skills, and care by attentive compassionate carers, a nutritious diet and excellent food, prepared on the premises by a team of quality cooks. A five star nursing home without doubt.

Briar Hill is a warm, welcoming, friendly home where nothing is too much trouble. For nearly 6yrs they took great care of my mother-in-law who suffered from vascular dementia and Parkinsons. Over the years she deteriorated and was unable to communicate but the staff still involved her in well-organised activities. I will always be grateful for the support they gave our family and how they always treated my mother-in-law with respect.

When I first knew my mum needed to go into a care home I felt scared and frightened when mum went into Briar Hill House. I had no worries it was like going into a five-star hotel. My mum and us as a family were welcomed it was a second home. We always shared our Sunday lunch with her. I want to say what a fab care home, staff and nursing staff are 100% loving and kind.
Thank you for telling us about the exceptional care that your mum has received in Briar Hill house. It’s fantastic to hear that the staff were 100% loving and kind. It’s always great for the team to hear how they are perceived and they will be delighted with your comments.
Excellent home and care from staff. I have already recommended Briar Hill to friends who have a relative with complex needs. The care is inclusive for family and when we had any questions we were listened to and our concerns addressed. There were always trained staff on hand who were very approachable. Activities were age appropriate, open to all but not forced on anyone who did not want to attend.
Thank you for your complimentary review of the excellent care and support in Briar Hill. It’s great to hear that you have recommended our home to your friends. I am sure that the staff team will be delighted to hear such lovely comments.
Briar Hill is a model of what a good home should be. I recently moved my father from another home and have been very impressed with the care and attention he received. All staff have taken time to get to know him and engage him in conversation. They demonstrate a real interest in him which he is very much appreciating. his medical needs are being very quickly addressed and sorting them out is obviously a high priority. Many of the staff are long serving and that is evident in the positive, happy atmosphere that pervades the home. The management of the home is excellent and the total focus on his physical and mental well-being is comforting and refreshing to experience. My father has become much more positive in his outlook. We can ask no more of a home.
Thank you for your lovely comments about the excellent care and support your father receives at Briar Hill. It is really great to hear that the staff have taken time to get to know your father and engage with him. I will be sure to pass your heart warming comments onto the staff team who will be delighted to receive them.
The high level of assessment in the first few hours led to my mother having her needs met properly and being more comfortable straight away.
The whole staff have been so kind and caring to her. She has been able to do things she has been unable to do for many years, such as sitting with other residents to eat her meals and be able to sit and look at the television in the evenings. The environment is superb and the level of care outstanding. It feels like a home, not a Care Home. I am really happy that my mother is living there.
Thank you for telling us about the excellent level of understanding, professionalism and compassion that your Mother is receiving at Briar Hill, it is wonderful to hear that the team have been able to make such a positive impact on her quality of life in such a short time.
The care she received in his time was exemplary from the moment she arrived she was treated with complete consideration and dignity.
All of the staff were most thoughtful and helpful to the family whenever we were there and we are truly grateful that mum was able to be looked after so considerably.
Thank goodness we found Briar Hill House.
Thank you for taking time to tell us about your Mum's end of life journey during what I’m sure is difficult time for you. The team will be really pleased to hear that we got it so right and that you all felt supported and treated with consideration and dignity.
I have been visiting my friend (we were college mates in 1960-63) since 2007 when he became a resident of Briar Hill. Always, I am made welcome and always the staff are friendly, courteous, caring with an optimistic and positive approach.
My pal is very content. He was a very active sports person until his stroke. He has no close family in the UK and I am relieved to see him in such caring hands. I an convinced this home has been his salvation. If I were similarly incapacitated, I would wish to be here.
It is heartening to hear of your lasting and loyal friendship with your pal. What better accolade can there be for our team than if you were ever to become incapacitated you would want to come to Briar Hill. The staff team will be delighted with your comments, and we appreciate you taking the time to make them.
Caring, friendly staff who have time for residents because they aren't overstretched; residents treated with dignity, medical needs met through on-site professionals; a clean, bright, stimulating environment which is safe and secure, a variety of activities offered regularly and nourishing, good quality food
If these are your criteria then look at Briar Hill House in Rugeley.
My mother has lived there since September. Before this, we researched 20 care homes and Briar Hill House was top of our list. Luckily, a room became available and was offered to my mother. Now we continue to be impressed by the dedication of all the staff. Their willingness to ensure that my mother's needs are met is first class and she speaks well of everyone.
The decision to place a relative in a care home is stressful but we are relieved to have found Briar Hill House. We cannot recommend it highly enough - it sets the gold standard to which others should aspire.
Thank you for your wonderful comments about the care and support your Mother receives at Briar Hill Care Home. The team will be delighted to hear that you and your Mother are so happy.
