Review from Jacqueline B (Wife of Resident) published on 2 October 2015 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My husband has only been a resident in Hammerwich Hall for one week. The care so far has been very good. My husband had been in hospital for nine weeks before being admitted to the care home and has scratched his legs very badly. A doctor was promptly called by the care home and antibiotic cream prescribed. He now requires a puréed diet and the kitchen staff have provided him with a variety of food which he has really enjoyed. He also has yoghurt when the other residents have biscuits or cakes. He always has a drink of orange squash by his side. Obviously it is early days and although he isn't completely settled yet he has made a good start.

Hammerwich Hall holds a very special place in my heart. I previously worked here for seven years as a Senior Carer on nights, leaving almost two years ago.

I’ve since returned home as a Team Manager, a role I have held for the past six months, and I’m now honoured to have been given my dream job as Home Manager at Hammerwich Hall. For me, working at Hammerwich Hall is about more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a positive difference, enhancing the well-being and quality of life of everyone in our home.
