My sister Marlene has recently been a resident at King's Bromley Care Home . The personal and nursing care was excellent. She was treated with kindness and respect in all aspects of her care . We as a family were all made to feel very welcome whist visiting. After my sister passed away they were all so lovely and respectful. It's such a friendly homely place. Every single member of staff made her stay the best it could be . Thank you from us all .

I brought my brother from a nursing home in Manchester to kings Bromley nursing home a year ago.
The manager was extremely helpful and understanding during the transfer.
The home has good accomodation, good choice of food, and wonderful caring staff, and nurses. The were varied activities each day. My brother passed away this week after a stroke. The care from the staff extended beyond my brother's needs to include the rest of his family. They made a sad and difficult situation endurable.

I have no hesitation in recommending this nursing home. It carries out a difficult role with professionalism and sympathy

My father has been at Kings Bromley Care Home for almost two years now. He initially had a trial at one of the top end care homes. The room at that other care home was bigger and had an ensuite shower room but he just did not take to that home. With Kings Bromley Care Home he has been very settled there in particular because the care is so good. The team are patient and kind and always have time for the residents. My dad feels very much at home at Kings Bromley Care Home.

My husband was transfered to King's Bromley Nursing home for end of life care in February. The home is welcoming and friendly and both the medical and social care is exceptional. The staff showed patience, kindness and support to the resident and all the family. It eased our worries at the end of my husbands life to know he was receiving the best possible care from excellent staff. Our best wishes to you all. Take care.

Living in the SW I don't have the opportunity to regularly visit my Father, but when I am able to visit the welcoming atmosphere as I enter Kings Bromley is consistently evident.
All staff are friendly, supportive, caring and professional and really help to make the visit the very best it can be not only for those in their care but us visitors too.

Feedback from friends and family is so valuable, as are the regular uplifting social media updates - the videos and photos are such a huge benefit showing the variety of activities and events arranged. It's especially lovely to see such my Father so happy and smiling. I cannot thank you all enough for giving Chris such a wonderful home and for the continued care within your 'family' environment. Kings Bromley are a marvellous team and we're so very fortunate to have found you.

My dad was admitted to Kings Bromley beginning of October sadly dad is at end of life care. I am so happy for him his room is kept clean. Dad wants for nothing and everything he requires is never any trouble. He's blind and deaf so feels extremely vulnerable and anxious at times the other day his hearing aid wasn't working originally we thought a battery change it ended up having to have a overall to get it to work and the care and patience the carer went through to see dad had a working hearing was above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. Dads really cared for and feel confident he's in very safe hands in his final months.

May I offer my sincerest gratitude to the manager and her wonderful dedicated wide-ranging team for the care and compassion they provided my mum. Despite mum's often challenging condition, every member of staff responded with the utmost professionalism - not to mention sincere personal displays of empathy and kindness towards both mum and myself. All those at Kings Bromley should feel truly proud of themselves for maintaining such high standards of care, especially - and most importantly - at the human level. So, a big mighty Thank You to each and everone.

Yours sincerely, and with much admiration and respect.

Choosing a care home is difficult. When my sister and I first walked in to kings Bromley care home, it felt right for Mum. We were impressed with the layout, the facilities, but mostly with the staff who were all friendly and welcoming. Mum settled in well. She never appeared unhappy and certainly was never distressed. She was well cared for and comfortable for the 12 months that she was resident. She seemed engaged with her surroundings. She had always been a "people watcher" and there was always something going on!

Initially she ate well and enjoyed the food. Her general decline in health was well monitored and she was treated with care and compassion to the end. Thank you to all the staff for your care and dedication. You made a difference. X

We arranged for my Mom to be transferred to Kings Bromley some years ago, as at the time, her current residential care could no longer cope with her decline into dementia. Of course, we visited and had a site tour, before going ahead with the move and found a welcoming, safe and homely environment, that would allow Mom to flourish in, for as long as her condition would allow.
Kings Bromley has all the good practices, facilities, services and conditions you would expect of a well-run care home, but the crowning glory is the exceptional team, that manages and operates the home and looks after the residents.
It is a remarkable experience, to become not just a resident, or a relative, but part of the Kings Bromley family.
I have seen how carers treated Mom when they didn't know I was there.
She received such respect, tenderness and empathy and if that's not love, then I don't know what is.
'Thank you' seems such an inadequate thing to say.
But..

'Thank you.'

Thanks to everyone at Kings Bromley for all they do for my 99-year-old Nan. She has lived here since 11th Jan 2023, she has dementia and needs a lot of help, I really like coming to visit her, using 2 buses to get there, don't think she would have lived this long if it wasn't for the care home. I would recommend this home to others, thanks for keeping my Nan alive.

My father was put into care here in 2023 and the care, commitment and dedication I witnessed when I did visit were exemplary and a real comfort to us all. Despite the sad circumstances of his later decline, I saw my father in capable hands and a determination to get through the worst moments. Many of us became attached to the staff and developed trusting relations, they were always willing to take questions and provide updates on Dad's medication and condition. I had wonderful moments where Dad would show signs of his true self, his humour and cheekiness would come alive again, precious things to cherish, I will never forget where his love for Mum would be so demonstrable and I think this is testament not only to the inner strengths he had, but the positive environment and support in which he rested. I was always grateful when the staff showed their obvious affection for Dad and kindly offered food and drink to keep us refreshed. It was a blessing to be there with him.

When my Dad moved in we couldn’t have been welcomed anymore. The staff were amazing with him, making him comfortable from the very moment he arrived. They have looked out for my mum who visits daily and have given her support and advice when it’s been needed too, which has been lovely and made her feel much more at ease with the transition. It’s never easy making decisions for your parents health and welfare but the carer and the staff have really helped.

My Dad was suffering from an aggressive brain tumor only diagnosed in January. After a hospital stay, he was transferred into care at Kings Bromley on an end-of-life care package. He needed one-to-one care 24 hours a day. He was cared for with compassion, kindness, and dignity. His communication skills had rapidly decreased and as a family, we were able to translate some of his behavior to the carers, especially when it came down to needing more pain relief. The medication was never denied provided it was safe to administer and was promptly given. We felt listened to. What I need to mention is their attentiveness to the family as well as Dad, the finest example of holistic care. We spent many hours by his bedside as he deteriorated and we were provided with refreshments from the kitchen staff. The carers were always there for our support. Mum was permitted to stay overnight and even provided with meals. I can't thank you enough for being there for us all right until the end.

I should like to express my heartfelt thanks to Kings Bromley Care Home's manager, the principal carer for my mother-in-law, the nurse who provided care in her last hours and, indeed, to all the staff at Kings Bromley. Coming to the home for the last few days of her long life meant Mum had 24/7 care in peaceful surroundings, with immediate access to end-of-life support and that we were free to be her family, spending as much time as we liked with her, whenever we liked. This was immensely helpful to her and to us at a difficult time. (I cannot assess value for money as Mum's care was not funded by us.)

I visited my cousin as I am from Canada. I had made email contact with the manager a couple weeks before our visit and she was most gracious letting me know of any restrictions and keeping in contact as we neared the time of our visit. The staff were very kind directing us in and out of the home where my cousin now resides with advanced dementia. I do not “do” social media at all, but I am able to access the Kings Bromley social media page. Being a retired teacher and having worked with special needs children for many years, I am very impressed with the many crafts and activities with which the staff engage with the residents. The intent is to keep body and mind active for as long as possible as this appears to be done with great care and love. It is a demanding job for staff and there is much burnout in the field so a great accomplishment for Bromley Care, the staff with regard to talking and touching as well as basic care is very much in evidence.

Our mother went into Kings Bromley Care Home in February 2023 following a brief spell in hospital after a fall and significant worsening of her dementia. We were worried about how mom was going to be, but from the first moment we were reassured that she was going to be well looked after. Right from the beginning the team were attentive to mom's needs and have been proactive in changing care as her needs changed. As Mom needed high levels of nursing care we have been impressed with the numbers of nurses on site, their professionalism and how they have kept us informed and engaged throughout Mom's care. Although the scheme is of the older design and grounds are in need of a bit of TLC. The care and attitude of staff more than make up for this. They are kind, attentive and helpful. We also thought the staff ratio was excellent as there always seemed enough staff about to get help from if needed.

Felicia Bumbas
Felicia BumbasJob Title:Home managerJoined: 2011

I have over 30 years of experience as a qualified nurse, including more than 15 years working in the UK after moving from Târn?veni, Romania, in 2011. I began my career in hospital care in Romania, where I worked for over 17 years before continuing to develop my skills in the UK across a range of clinical and leadership roles, including clinical lead and deputy manager. Since November 2024, I have been the manager of Kings Bromley Care Home, a role that allows me to combine my clinical expertise, leadership experience, and passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. I am committed to continuous improvement, supporting staff development, and creating a positive environment for both residents and colleagues.

I was drawn to a career in care by a genuine passion for supporting people during important and vulnerable moments in their lives. I believe care is about more than meeting physical needs—it’s about dignity, respect, and understanding each individual. What I enjoy most is leading and supporting my team to deliver the best possible care, while creating an environment where residents feel safe and valued. Building relationships with residents and their families and making a positive difference in their daily lives is the most rewarding part of my role.

My key strengths lie in maintaining high standards of care while keeping each resident’s needs, preferences, and dignity at the centre of everything we do. I am passionate about developing staff, building strong and compassionate teams, and creating a positive culture within the home. I place a strong emphasis on communication and work closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure care is well-coordinated and responsive.

My approach is based on compassion, respect, and open communication. I aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where residents, families, and staff all feel valued, heard, and respected.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through sport and love travelling to experience new places and cultures. I also value spending quality time with family and friends, which helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance.
