Manor House Nursing Home

Manor House welcomed us and the staff were very kind and supportive. They looked after my aunty very well and kept me informed about all of her medication and health. I would like to thank all the staff for everything they have done for us and it was a beautiful surprise to receive flowers from the. Thank you.

My grandad has been on dunston for over two years now and I can't express was a lovely care home this is. They truly care about their residents the carers themselves are a blessing and the continuity the residents receives ensure that they've built relationship and trust. Myself and my family have no complaints the residents get fair share of activities everyday and the best care. This is my grandads fourth care home and despite his dementia they've managed his behaviour so well that he's the best behaved he's been in the last four years he's put weight on and his memory hasn't declined if anything slightly improved. Any medical issues the nursing staff report and over winter he's had one chest infection in the last two years which compared to previously he'd have one in every month in winter. Thankyou to all the staff and your advocation for my grandad it's truly seen and appreciated by our family.

It is extremely comforting to know that my mother's final days were spent in such a caring environment.

My dad was a resident for 16 months and during this time he felt secure, happy and well cared for. The staff are this home's biggest asset. They are caring, and considerate and we were happy when leaving Dad in their care. The nursing staff could not do enough for Dad in his final days and for this, we are eternally grateful. I would certainly recommend this home to anyone.

The atmosphere of the home was friendly and relaxed and very clean. I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone.

We thank that the nursing team are excellent in what they do, sometimes they go above and beyond, especially more senior staff members who we can go to if we have a question about care.

Our sister has been in the Manor House since the beginning of March 2023. She was given a warm welcome by the staff, and I visited her every day for the two weeks I was in the country, so got to see most of the staff, plus I was going in randomly. Every encounter I had with the staff was warm and responsive, they obviously spent a lot of time with my sister, chatting and reassuring her as she adjusted to a new place. My sister clearly likes her care team and feels safe with them. I call most days and often talk with a staff member as well as my sister, I appreciate their input. I love the presence on FB, thanks to the activities team, it gives me some idea of the day, plus is a useful conversational prompt when I talk with her.

From the first day my wife was admitted the support from all the staff was superb. She receives the best possible service. Every member of staff is so supportive of my wife and myself and has helped both of us to adjust.

When we commenced the process of seeking a nursing home for Dad, there were many factors for us to consider but the quality of care and support was top of the list and Manor House Nursing Home delivered! Thank you!

Overall experience is excellent.

My uncle is in the Manor House Nursing home in Stafford. He has old age Dementia but is still the lovely man he always was. He celebrated his 90th birthday on Friday 1st July 2022. The help given to my uncle by the Manor House staff I can’t praise enough. On the occasion of his 90th birthday, the catering staff gave me all the help I needed to put on a small party to celebrate with his wife and a few close friends. They went above and beyond their call of duty to supply a beautifully presented buffet with everything we needed at hand to have a lovely afternoon celebration. Thank you to all the staff at the Manor House for the superb way in which my uncle is looked after and for making his birthday buffet such a success. Special thanks to his carer who couldn’t be there that day, as he was not feeling well. We missed you.

Our brother was only at the home for 8 days before he passed away but our family saw a dramatic improvement in him. He was happy, joking and eating all of which he didn't do before he went into Manor House Nursing Home. The staff were all friendly, professional and helpful and they all seemed to love our brother's character. Thank you all for the great care and respect you gave to our brother during his last days with us. You made his last days pleasurable having given him a little independence and a warm friendly caring place to lay his weary head for the last time. Thank you all.

Mom came to Manor House Nursing Home for her end of life, so was only there for a few days. Whilst the home is looking a little tired, the decor was not our first priority. Mom had been in hospital for 8-weeks, and we were desperate to get her out to give her some peace and quiet in her final days, and that’s exactly what she got. The home was clean, lovely and warm. I can’t comment on the food as I have said Mom was in here for her end of life. All of the staff were amazing, from keeping her respect and dignity to just being lovely to her and us. Our family will never be able to thank you enough; you're amazing.
