I am updated if Dad has any issues with his health and they act promptly if they notice a change in him and his behaviour. It is also good for Dad to have regular carers and familiarity with who he sees.

Ongoing issues, with a massive lack of communication also from staff about our mum. These have been addressed via email, telephone, and in person, to be told they are sorry and it won't happen again and it just keeps on happening. Avoid!
Reply from Lesley hughes, Registered Manager at Church Terrace Care Home with NursingAs a result of Covid 19, our practice had to change considerably in relation to family visiting loved ones. Visits have had to take place under isolated circumstances. We have already identified that one of the main consequences of this has been our limited ability to spend any time with families. Staff have found it difficult to develop or maintain relationships with family members as we did previously. We have worked tirelessly to keep people safe by making on-the-spot professional judgements about the need for isolation, namely people staying in their bedrooms. We recently made one such decision. The families concerned with the situation were informed immediately. Due to cohort practices, other family visits were maintained in all other areas. All we can do is apologise if our communication has not been 100% but the intention was to not raise unnecessary alarm.
