This home really looks after my father with the very best care and attention during a very difficult time. I can only thank every single member of staff for the way they've looked after Dad. Up until lock-down the outdoor visits were really special for me and my dad. The home is excellent in every aspect.
Thank you.

Mine and my husband's first experience with care homes and the staff really do make the biggest difference. I've not seen anyone that doesn't put their heart into all that they do. I was very impressed with the home as a whole and my husband didn't need much convincing to stay. I just cannot fault the
care that they give. Just gives me such peace of mind to know that he is happy.

This is a fantastic home full of fantastic people. Had many complications on the lead up to Dad needing 24/7 care and the guys at this home really do go above and beyond to help. They're great at helping us as a family stay in touch with Dad. They've got a great activities team that ensure Dad is doing
more than me at the moment. The carers are a great bunch of girls, honestly couldn't ask for anything else from them. Very well run, very well organised. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else certainly when the time comes that someone else in the family requires care.

Brilliant. You cannot fault the home for anything. They've done an excellent job of looking after my mum during the pandemic. So glad I've had the chance to see her recently with the visiting process in place. Such a fantastic atmosphere, everyone is friendly and welcoming. Well done everyone.

A very safe, secure, caring environment. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Food is generally of a very high standard. Organised activities are excellent. Dad had an amazing day when the activities coordinator arranged a 'wish' for him. She went to outstanding lengths to access a 'movies and
tower' (and friends) to visit. The visit to the local theatre to see the D Day Landings was extremely successful. Well done!

Although my mum was in the care of Wheaton Aston Court for only a short time, I feel that I need to praise the staff. The care and support shown to my mum, myself and my family was excellent. From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome. Staff and residents alike seemed relaxed
and happy. Thank you. Keep up the good work!

Having viewed two other care homes that weren't suitable, we were asked to look at Wheaton Aston Court.
Straight away the place had a lovely, homely feel to it.
My mother moved in for 6 weeks and she has been extremely happy and well cared for.
The staff are all fantastic, bright and cheerful.
The
food is excellent and the whole experience has been perfect.

My father had to be taken to hopsital. The manager arranged this for us and transport and when we were having difficulties with the hospital she stepped in and helped us.
A care assistant has worked hard at getting us to know my "difficult" father he now trusts her and is allowing her to shower him.
This is a big deal.

At 89 my dear stepfather broke his hip and couldn't walk and was disorientated when he came out of hospital to Wheaton Aston Court. A few months later owing to caring, helpful, friendly staff he was able to walk with a frame, go home and live independently with carers. He had a good year at home before
having a stroke and back to hospital, W A Court have accepted him back despite being totally disabled. He is comfortable and well cared for.

We as a family have been visiting my Dad who is receiving palliative care from the staff. My Dad is receiving dignified, caring care from the whole of the team here. The staff are all so kind and caring towards my Dad and it enables me to leave him in their capable hands. Life right now is very sad
for us as a family and this home has helped us come to terms with what we are facing.

I was surprised when I came to visit my dad the first time. How very clean it was. No smell as you entered the reception area. How nice it was to sit with a drink in lovely comfy chairs.
Nice to see the walls nicely decorated and carpet. I even sometimes bring my slippers as the home is so relaxing.
My dad doesn't want to leave as he is here for respite until permanently placed. He is looked after so well and the food is excellent.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.403)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.403) out of 10 for Wheaton Aston Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.4 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Wheaton Aston Court is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.403 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wheaton Aston Court is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 36 registered maximum number of service users is 7.2. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.2 = 0.278
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
