My husband was given good quality care. Myself and the family were met with kindness, sympathy and advice at all times which was much appreciated at a sad and difficult time for us.

From the moment my mother went into the home, she was treated in the most caring way possible, starting with the lady who cooked fresh food on day one, progressing through all the staff who dealt with her over the weeks until her death. Total cleanliness, care, understanding, and at the end, so much dignity was evident.

Thank you, Trentham House staff.

My 95 year old mother died very recently, having been under care at Trentham House Care Home, near Stoke.
I can only say that I am so pleased that her last days were spent at Trentham House as the care, respect, understanding and treatment they gave to her was second to none, and I am just so grateful for the kind and professional way that the staff and management did everything possible to make my mother's last days as comfortable as possible.
The staff here are very good people as well as being excellent at their jobs. I found their concern and understanding made me feel very supported in a situation that we all know is coming, but we dread at the same time.
The care home is always kept very clean and fresh, and meals are varied, generous portions, and excellent, nutritious quality.
I can't, in fairness, comment on the recreational activities at the care home as my mother did not partake in any of them.

So to sum up my opinion, excellent Nursing Care Home ...no doubt about it.

My mother was recently a resident at Trentham House Care Home and the standard of care that she received was absolutely first class.
All members of staff are totally dedicated and they are always prepared to go the extra mile, to meet the needs of the residents.

The facilities are excellent and cleanliness and hygiene are maintained to the highest standards.

Mother went to Trentham House Care Home for end of life care. I could not have wished for better care anywhere in the city. Management and staff were first class. The food was good enough for any restaurant. Mum commented on how comfy her bed was, the room was spotless, clean and always smelled nice.

My mum has recently become a resident at New Park (Trentham House Care Home) and has settled into life there. It's a homely, warm and caring home. The staff are very caring and attentive. This care home is now my mum's home and I feel comfortable visiting her there, making drinks, helping myself to biscuits - home from home. I can now enjoy my mum instead of worrying if she is OK.

I believe my mother is well cared for by the staff at New Park - my main concern at the present time, is that there hasn't been enough activities/therapies for my mum or other residents to take their minds off monotony. The TV is their only diversion. A new activity coordinator has been appointed but three days a week only. Staff are pressed but dedicated and kind, mostly being sat in a chair a lot is not good however!

If people had more to do, it would be a great improvement.

From the first day my mum became a resident myself and family have been extremely happy with the care given. The home has always been clean. The food is of a very high standard. I would recommend to anyone that their relatives would be looked after to very high standard. Now the troubles are behind them I look forward to the numbers of residents rising and my family will do whatever is in our power to help this happen.

A big thanks to all the staff at New Park House.

My mum came to New Park House when my dad died initially for respite care. During the last 18 months, she has been cared for very well by the manager and her team. It's been such a difficult time but they have persevered with trying to encourage mum to socialise and even enjoy life. I am very grateful for all their help.

My only real concern was that, when I visited my mother, she was regularly sitting in a wet pad and underwear. This was probably due to the cost and therefore shortage of pads and not enough staff to ensure she was taken to the toilet on a more regular basis. It was, therefore, upsetting that my sister and I could not visit every day to help with her toileting. We regularly asked the Seniors to have my mother taken to the toilet more frequently.

Therefore my priority when visiting my mother was to take her to the toilet and to put a clean pad and underwear on her. I, therefore, bought pads in shops to ensure my mother always had them in her room. My sister and I were still told off by two different Seniors for using two pads at one time. We only did this because our mother was being put in thin pads which we knew would not keep her dry for long. Ironically, staff always ensured my mother had a ready supply of creams to help with her soreness.

My husband is a resident of the above nursing home, he has been there since June 2016. During his stay he has been cared for in an excellent manner, the medical and care staff have been very caring and pleasant. The entertainment and interaction between staff and residents is by far the best I have ever seen. The home is always clean and welcoming to visitors.

I can honestly say since my grandad has been in New Park, I have seen him thrive and flourish in his new surroundings and he is truly happy and content there which makes my family and me happier than I can describe. He is looked after 100%, made a fuss of and nothing he wants or needs is too much trouble for the staff. On behalf of my grandad, myself and my family, we would like to thank the management, carers, nurses, cleaners and cooks and everyone in between for making my grandad so welcome and at home.

My husband has been a resident for four and a half years. He is treated by all the staff, with respect and dignity that's all that matters. He is happy and well cared for and spoken to not at. Although he has always liked his own company the activities are great for people who like to mix.
