Kineton Manor Nursing Home

My Mum, who has Alzheimer's, has been living at Kineton Manor for 4.5 years. It was the 8th home I viewed. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was the right home for her. Not just a care home, but a home in every sense of the word. It has a warm, welcoming and loving atmosphere that was missing in other homes. The beautiful setting in the manor and its grounds adds to its charm and unique offering. It is not a purpose-built, modern building where all of the rooms are the same, feel clinical and almost hospital-like. It really is a home from home. Each room is different and has a lovely view. My Mum is very happy there. Uniquely, because only permanent staff are employed there, residents and staff know each other well, which is so important. I've never seen residents wandering around aimlessly. The staff are so loving and approachable. They have become like family. I have never doubted my decision for my Mum to live there. If you're looking for a care home for your loved one, this is it!

My father was at kineton manor for the last. 4 weeks of his life the staff from the housekeeping to manager where fab nothing to much trouble always made us as a family welcome couldn't ask for better care love and dignity xx

My husband has been at Kineton Manor since April 2022. We have never had to question the care that he receives from all members of staff. He is content, comfortable and has always been treated with dignity. Being unable to continue his care at home we feel this is as close to a family home environment as we could wish for.

My wife has been in Kineton Manor for two years. Throughout that time the care and love she has received has been exceptional. Without exception from the manager to the cleaner, staff show friendships, love and care. There is an atmosphere in the home that immediately welcome you.

When visiting my friend I am always made to feel welcome, from reception, carers, and managers. Nothing is too much trouble. My friend is well cared for, and all staff and volunteers stop to say 'hello'. If my friend needs changing or movin,g someone always responds with a smile. I am very pleased with the care she receives.

My mother has been a resident of Kineton Manor for two years now. She has been very well cared for and looks really well every time I see her. The food is very good, the care is exceptional and the staff are amazing. The staff really get to know the residents here and make sure they understand the care needs of the individuals. My parents even had their Diamond Wedding celebration this summer in the garden, which was a wonderful event made possible by so many willing and capable members of the team. The new manager is lovely and friendly, really approachable and kind as are all the staff.

Mum had two weeks of respite care at Kineton. She was warmly welcomed and made comfortable on arrival. All of the staff were very caring and attentive during her stay. Her room was clean and the ensuite bathroom was spotless. She enjoyed her meals and the occasional glass of sherry. The home is secure and we would not hesitate to use Kineton again.

Our elderly mother has been at Kineton Manor for 6 months and we cannot fault the care that she has received over this period. The staff are so helpful, professional and genuinely care about the residents as well as each other. It's a friendly place to visit and we are always made to feel very welcome.

The Management team are very visible and communicate openly with residents and family by way of meetings, newsletters and emails. They listen to any concerns raised and take their comments on board where necessary.

My mum is very happy here and now calls it home.

Kineton Manor is a truly kind and caring nursing home. From the moment we walked through the door all the staff were warm and welcoming and have continued to be so. All the staff really care not only for the residents but also the family. It says it all when every time Mum sees a member of staff a big grin comes across her face.

From the minute I first looked at the home I felt that it really was a home from home. The staff are genuinely welcoming and caring and seem so happy to be working there. My mum and dad have been incredibly well looked after with medical support at every stage. The location is absolutely superb with a lovely garden and wonderful views. I would be more than happy to live there myself!

My mum had exceptional care at Kineton Manor. The staff were very friendly and were always welcoming. I always felt at home when I visited my mum. The staff always met my mums needs, they were very caring and they would always make sure mum was comfortable and at ease. They would always make my mum smile. I can't thank them enough for how they cared for my mum. They have some wonderful staff at Kineton Manor and it was a pleasure getting to know them all.

The home is characterised by the lack of a pervading smell of urine which seems to be present at most other homes I have been to.

The staff at the home are TRULY excellent. Nothing is a trouble at all for them - they are very willing and helpful.

It is a friendly, clean and lovely environment. A bit like a country hotel retreat, more than a care home.

My husband was only at Kineton Manor for a few months before he died but during his time there he was treated with kindness, respect and dignity. Our initial impression was of 'shabby chic' but that was nothing compared to the loving care he received. We as a family were always welcome and treated with such compassion at the time of his death. All this was with the previous Matrion. I cannot report on the current situation.

The staff tend to stay, so there is continuity of care and residents can get to know their carers, which is crucial at a time of life where it's hard to trust people. It's a job I couldn't do, and I was hugely grateful for the care showed my (not always easy) mother in her dying years.

Mum arrived at Kineton Manor straight from hospital, after experiencing a sudden and severe decline in her vascular dementia. Right from the very first day they treated Mum with kindness, compassion and professionalism. They stabilised her condition and she became calm and peaceful. It is such a homely and welcoming environment, and the gardens are beautiful and impeccably maintained. The staff are absolutely wonderful, to residents and families alike. We were always welcomed and nothing was too much trouble, for us or for Mum. Even though no one could be sure that Mum could appreciate the activities and entertainment provided, this didn't stop them from including her in everything. When Mum was sadly near the end of her life they did everything to ensure that she had a peaceful and dignified death, with all of her family around her. We cannot praise Kineton Manor and all the staff highly enough. We knew that Mum was always in kind, safe and caring hands. Thank you so much to you all.
