I wanted to say thank you for the fantastic care my mother-in-law is getting at Overslade House - since she moved in, her wellbeing and physical health have improved immeasurably. The extras that she has been able to enjoy add such joy to her days. Last month's spa day with bubbled in her hydro bath, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and a glass of bubbly was a treat she hopes to partake again.

Thank you for giving her back a great quality of life.

My family and I are totally grateful to all the staff of Overslade House Nursing and Care Home, Rugby. Their loving kindness and professionalism has made a very difficult time in our lives so much more bearable. The medical, nursing and care is excellent as are all the supporting staff who are always there to help in any way.

I know that my husband is receiving first class care in a warm, loving and beautiful environment and would not want him to go to any other home.

My Late Dad lived in Overslade House for about 14 months until he sadly passed away in early September 2025, now my Mum is staying as a resident, following a spell in respite care there.

Throughout my Dad's stay and now since Mum has moved in, the attention and service provided by the wonderful staff has been second to none, nothing is ever too much trouble. I'd definitely recommend Overslade House for any family looking for residential care for a relative.

My mum is a resident at Overslade House. She has been cared for at the Home for a year. I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for assisting us to celebrate so many important family events during this time. My mum's 90th birthday, my dad's 94th birthday and their 67th wedding anniversary. The staff have embraced each event - providing food, cake, decorations, energy & love - thank you!

My mum became a resident at Overslade in February 2021 when the challenges of living with Alzheimer's became too difficult to manage. Initially mum took a while to settle and the team found her behaviours a challenge, but they quickly learned to understand and manage mum's needs. The team of carers always treated mum with dignity and respect and I felt that they genuinely cared about her. They were also very supportive of me throughout mum's time here. Unfortunately mum passed away suddenly in June 2025 and even in death, there was a great deal of care and compassion shown. There are too many names to mention but the head of unit, clinical lead, senior general manager, administrator and another member of staff, in particular, all have made mum's stay much more bearable for me - I never wanted her to go into care and always promised her that it wouldn't happen - life often throw a curve ball at you! Thank you.

The management of Overslade House very kindly offered me a room at very short notice after suddenly I was unable to walk or look after myself. I have enjoyed my 3 and a half months stay here and have received outstanding care from the cleaners, carers, kitchen staff, handymen, nurses and management. I have been impressed by the high level of teamwork and cooperation throughout the staff.

I have experienced kindness, consideration and understanding from all the staff who work to the highest professional standards. The food is good and varied. The entertainment team work hard to provide an excellent programme of events. The atmosphere of friendly encouragement helped me to prepare for my operation and assisted in my recovery after surgery. I have visited care homes throughout England and Wales but none have reached the high standards within Overslade House.

Absolutely Wonderful! After visiting every care home in this area for my mother last year after her Alzheimer's diagnosis. I knew instantly on walking into Overslade House this was the one. The feel was peaceful, the staff were all so welcoming and kind and happy. All smiling in their work and so attentive with residents. The Manager and her management team went above and beyond to help us and get us the solution we needed and wanted for her future care and rest of her life. Their attention to detail and constant communication and reassurance was outstanding and still is many, many months on. Regular check ins and updates, communication is excellent. My mother is so happy, interacts with residents, has put weight on and looks the best she has in years considering the decline in her disease. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent care for a family member. 10 out of 10 to the management and staff of Barchester & Overslade House.

Brilliant place for our mum to stay.

This is mum's third visit to Overslade House whilst we go on holiday. Mum thoroughly enjoys her stay with the staff at the home from home. She has Alzheimer's and leaving her with other people was quite a daunting task especially as she lives with me usually. Mum loves the atmosphere and the staff are brilliant. Her guests are always made to feel welcome and she loves joining in the activities. God willing, mum will be staying at Overslade on more dates in the future. Keep up the good work all.

Overslade the family found a wonderful place for our father to be in. The food has improved but could they take red cabbage off the menu no one really likes it. Try green cabbage, perhapes the staff (kitchen) or the chef could get to speak to the families. Variy the meals a little. We would recommend Overslade House the staff are marvelous I miss them. We moved Dad to a home near where I live he will miss them too.

After reading reviews, I decided to take my mother and have a look around Barchester. My mother suffers from advanced dementia, but I wasn't sure how she would react. Within an hour or so, you'd of thought she'd been a resident there for a while. She took to all the staff straight away, and was more than happy to stay that day. All the staff there are fantastic, nothing too much trouble. Ive now got piece of mind that my mother is very well looked after there. Thank you to all at Barchester.

I had to book my mum into short-term respite care at fairly short notice after she moved out of her house, before her assisted living flat was ready for her to move into. We had no previous experience of care home facilities. The manager and deputy manager were so incredibly helpful and kind. They are very experienced and really helped me with making decisions as to what was best for my mum. All the rest of the staff, from the admin team to the wonderful carers, nurses, catering staff and entertainment team, were all amazing and always approachable. They were kind, patient, friendly and supportive to both my mum while she was in unfamiliar surroundings and to me and the rest of the family. The food was lovely and the whole place was always extremely clean and tidy.

I would recommend Overslade House and their wonderful care to anyone.
