The staff were helpful, caring and attentive.
Thank you for your kind words. We are so happy that you and your wife trust in choosing Cubbington Mill for respite care time and time again. I will share this review with the team and we look forward to welcoming your loved one back into the home when the time comes.
I had no hesitation in choosing Cubbington Mill for my mum having been so pleased when my Dad was a resident 8 years ago. It has such a lovely atmosphere and we are always met by a friendly face when we arrive. nothing is too much trouble, particularly considering the added pressure of COVID-19. I feel that mum is treated like family, someone special, and I really look forward to my visits.
Thank you so much for your wonderful and heart-warming words, we feel honoured that you have chosen us to care for both of your parents. We are so glad you feel like your Mum is part of our family this is so important to our residents feeling cared for and happy. Thank you again for your feedback, the team will be so thrilled to hear this.
An exceptional home in all respects, staff, care and food. Has always been our first choice of a care home. Never nay hesitation in recommending Cubbington Mill and have already done so to several people.
Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your review it will mean so much to all the team, I will make sure I share your special comments with the whole staff team. It is wonderful to hear that you are completely happy with our care and services, thank you for entrusting us with the care of your loved one.
It was my mum's birthday and due to COVID-19, we knew visits would be unlikely. We had a call to say we could visit through the window. On the day it was raining, the staff were wonderful allowing us to stand undercover and visit through an open door with mum 3 metres away. It was only 20 minutes but this made a huge difference being able to see mum open her presents. Mum has made great improvements and the staff are fabulous.
Thank you for your kind words, Lisa. We aim to continue to make memories and keep relationships with families strong throughout the pandemic. We are so glad you were still able to share this special day with your mum and we will continue to support you both throughout her time at Cubbington Mill.
My friend has lived at Cubbington Mill Care Home for just over a year. Cubbington Mill were excellent prior to Covid but seem to have excelled even more since. Hats off to the staff who look after my friend like she is their grandma. Thank you all.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are one big family here at Cubbington Mill, and we are so glad you and your loved one are a part of that. I will make sure to pass on your lovely message to the rest of the staff.
I am a regular visitor to the Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home in my role as the Parish Vicar. I meet with residents at least twice a month, once for a service of Holy Communion and once for a simple Bible Study that involves lots of photos of the Holy Land. In December the church holds a Carol Service in Chubbington Mill for residents and on Christmas Eve I organise carol singing around the tree. On all of my visits, I am met with happy well cared for residents who enjoy life at Chubbington Mill. Several of the residents I have been meeting for many years. The facilities are spotless and the staff are always very friendly and caring.
Thank you so much for taking the time out to write this kind review, our residents enjoy your wonderful services and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can.
I spent seven days in their facility, the first time ever in such an environment. I found it excellent in every respect. In particular, I found the staff, without exception, to be efficient, friendly, and caring. There was no more involvement than necessary and when required, provided willingly. Overall this was an excellent relaxing experience.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review, we appreciate the feedback and it gives our team a real boost to know that you were comfortable during your respite break. It was our pleasure to support you during your time at the home, best wishes for the future.
Very friendly, caring staff, like family. During this awful time, they have made it a little easier by doing video calls. Bless them all, take care, I cant wait to see you all.
We can't thank you enough for your review and kind words, Cubbington Mill has maintained its passion for high-quality care and its great to hear that this has still come across through these difficult times.
The atmosphere is always very welcoming and friendly, and always seem to be a lot of people about, both staff and visitors. The garden is lovely, but the car park could be a little larger. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a home for a loved one.
Here at Cubbington Mill we aim to provide the very best experience for our residents and their families. Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words with us, these will be shared with the team.
Extremely helpful and caring staff, my aunt and her room were kept immaculately clean at all times. She was treated with the utmost dignity until she died. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind words, we're pleased to hear of your review. It was our privilege and pleasure to care for and support your aunt throughout her time here at Cubbington Mill.
The care my mother received throughout her stay was absolutely exceptional. Outstanding. Attention to detail was thoughtful (hair brushed, nails cut, clothing frequently washed and changed). From the Manager to the handyman/maintenance man, we were helped every step of the way. The nursing staff were caring, professional and always available. The cheerfulness and friendliness of each member of the care team shone. Even on death, the care and helpful continued. Huge thank you.
My father is receiving excellent care form staff at Cubbington Mill, who no matter how busy they are, always stop for a chat. The atmosphere is caring and friendly.
The care and compassion and respect we have been shown and our parents given, has been second to none. All of the members of staff have done all they can to help us through this difficult time. As a family, we can sleep at night in the knowledge that our loved ones are safe and cared for. Thank you to all the Mill team.
In September my mother moved into Cubbington Mill, followed by my father in October. Management was able to organise a double room so they could both be together. Sadly my mother passed away on 14th November. During this process the family were looked after particularly well, helping to ease the pain. We were fed well and checked upon regularly. Over and beyond what we would have expected. Thank you to the Manager.
All staff including management were not only great looking after my Gran but also the family during her stay. They always went above and beyond for us when we would visit. My Gran was always treated with respect and dignity. The rooms were beautiful with everything you could ever need. It does not feel like a care home. Definitely recommend!
A lot of care homes are scary, dark, smelly places - sorry but that's just how it can be from what I have seen. Cubbington Hill has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with bright, fresh reception and lounge area, coffee on tap and biscuits whenever wanted. More important than this however is the warmth and welcoming attitude of the staff here - all of whom work relentlessly to serve others, sometimes under very difficult circumstances. Real people who really care and a place that really can feel like home.
My mother stayed here for nine months. The home is cozy, clean and the staff were very caring. I always felt she was in good hands. My mother, at first accepting of needing full-time care, became increasingly difficult. The staff tried hard to make this arrangement work but eventually had to refer her to a more secure facility. Cubbington's facilities are excellent - the furnishings, the dining room and food and the beautiful garden so well maintained. My mother enjoyed many hours sitting on the garden seats and noticing the birds and flowers. She often did not want to eat in the dining room and they always accommodated her by bringing food to her room as well as making something that wasn't officially on the menu. Visitors were always welcomed. Living overseas, communication by email was critical for me and for the most part, Cubbington was good about keeping me informed. I would recommend Cubbington to anyone looking for a home where walled-in facilities are not required.
Have visited a couple of times and the staff I have met have been friendly, helpful and approachable.

Hello, my name is Jackie and I'm the Cubbington Mill administrator.

Hi, my name is Rose, and I am the activities coordinator at Cubbington Mill!
I have been working in care since I was 17 and am very passionate about my role. I am also currently studying paramedic science at Coventry University, which I thoroughly enjoy. I'm very privileged to work with the wonderful people and residents at Barchester's Cubbington Mill and hope we all make some lovely memories together!
If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill or project you'd like to share with our residents.

I have been working at Cubbington Mill since 2006 after being recruited in the Philippines and completing my adaptation training in London. Now I feel as if England is my home from home. I cared for my own grandparents for many years which began my passion for caring for the elderly which I have today.

Louise is a Cubbington Mill Team Leader and trained to NVQ level 2. She assists the Nurses with the day-to-day running of the first-floor unit, including supervising and supporting care staff at all times. Louise has been caring for the residents of Cubbington Mill since 2000 and is well known amongst staff and residents alike for her big smile and bubbly personality.

Karen has worked at Cubbington Mill since the year 2000. She is trained in NVQ Level 2&3 in care. This alongside her many years of experience at Cubbington Mill means she not only delivers exceptional care to our residents but can also assist in training new carers so they can achieve the high care standards required when working for the home.

Waldemar has worked at Cubbington Mill since 2005. He is the Health & Safety Coordinator and is responsible for all aspects of the upkeep of the home. He is a "Green Leaf Champion" and in 2014, we achieved the “very good standard” award for environmental performance thanks to Waldemar’s continuous efforts to improve Cubbington Mill’s carbon footprint. Waldemar can often be found keeping our prize-winning gardens, for which we have received a gold award for the 10th consecutive year 'Leamington in Bloom'! He was also awarded Barchester's 'Maintenance Champion 2017'. When he is not decorating or busy in the gardens, he can be found driving the minibus on resident’s days out.

After 3 years of classical French training at college, including work experience at the world-famous Claridge’s Hotel in London, I have pursued a career working in high-quality hotels and restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments, and privately owned care homes. I have a great love of baking and pride myself on preparation and presentation, coupled with great flavours and tasty foods. I am keen to provide Cubbington Mill’s lovely residents with 5-star nutritious, well-balanced meals, conversing with residents of The Days to adapt cultural preferences and dietary needs, and working closely with suppliers.

Hi, I’m Robert also known as Rob!
Rob's wealth of knowledge from his career in Housekeeping in University Halls, ensures Cubbington Mill is kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times with an extremely high standard. Rob looks forward to meeting you all and working with The Mill team!

Hi, I'm Charlie "Cheryl" I'm your new resident ambassador at Cubbington Mill! Anything you want to do or know let me know I'll do my best to rectify.
I can't wait to meet you all. So.... A little bit about me, I was a nurse ward sister for 27 years, specialising in Leukaemia in children and adults. I would like to think I am approachable kind, caring, funny and a good listener. If you aren't careful my practical jokes might catch you out so bear in mind you've been warned!
Laughter is the best medicine.

Hello I'm Peter, I'm pleased to be announced as Cubbington Mills Resident Ambassador, I know I'm perfect for the role because of the support I get from the team. I chose to move to Cubbington Mill from Southam after hearing such good reviews about the home and visiting it for myself, I knew this would be my forever home. I have a role in the day to day life at Cubbington Mill listening to residents compliments, ideas and complaints, I am also apart of the homes Food Committee

I am over the moon to be back with the Cubbington Mill Family. I have worked at Cubbington Mill previously in 2009, before starting a family of my own. I re-joined the team in 2024 after National Customer Experience Champion, Lovely Laura, departed for her new life in Australia with her family. I believe I have a wealth of knowledge in the care industry, and I portray this in my role daily as the home's Administration Assistant.
I love to support with all aspects of the home, whether this be a family matter, financial or simply a resident in need of a cup of tea, I am on hand to ensure everyone is looked after!
