Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home provide first – class 24 hour nursing care for residents in a welcoming and friendly environment. This team of highly qualified and attentive staff really focus on the individual needs of residents with a tailored care plan for each person.

Their dedication can be seen across the board – in an award winning menu, hospitality and organised activities for residents. Activity Co-ordinators work with Help the Aged as well as all of their residents to plan a complete range of activities which includes trips, entertainment, cooking and gardening.

My mum came here in November for respite care and has been very well cared for here. The staff are lovely and her room is beautiful. The meals in the restaurant are lovely and the care and attention to detail are exceptional. Thank you for the care of my mum.

The main negative-not enough staff. Staff too busy to respond to call bells. Bathrooms-more grab rails needed. The floor-difficult to manoeuvre around, very dangerous, very jerky and uneven.

I came here in an emergency when part of my home was flooded due to a burst water pipe, I have been welcomed very warmly by all of the staff and residents also. I have every help that I need but enough freedom and facilities that I feel I am staying in a very special hotel. I will always be grateful
for the comfort and friendliness that I have had in this difficult time, especially as I was living on my own having been widowed earlier this year.

We cannot speak highly enough of Cubbington Mill and the wonderful team. My mother has been there for the last two weeks on respite care and is really happy. So much so, that we have just extended her stay by another two weeks to complete her recovery. The staff are utterly wonderful, so kind and caring,
and nothing is too much trouble. The quality of food is excellent, offering a good choice of nutritious and very tasty homemade dishes - all beautifully presented.
My mother is also making the most of their activities programme and is never lost for company or something to do.
The whole atmosphere at the Mill is so warm and welcoming, making you feel at home the minute you walk through the door.
The only minor criticism we have is her room is a little small, but even so, we all agree that Cubbington Mill is undoubtedly the best care home our family has ever used. Congratulations and a big thank you.

Cubbington Mill Care Home has a welcoming approach with well-maintained front of the home gardens. The Interior reception room together with the residents' lounge and dining room tastefully decorated.
No fault with reception staff and a warm welcome when visiting.
Management and care staff always
appear approachable and professional. We have no complaints with this care home.

The staff are very caring, and there is always a friendly greeting to visitors. The activities coordinators do a fantastic job of encouraging residents to be involved physically and with their minds. Personal tastes in food are taken care of, and the menus always look delicious. The rooms and general
areas are kept clean and fresh. Having nurses on site gives peace of mind that residents’ health is under constant review. The buildings and grounds are well maintained and cared for. The rooms are a reasonable size, but it would be nice if they had a little more space. Contrary to expectations, my mother is very content to be being looked after there.

I visited to attend to the garden outside my deceased husband's room, which I promised to maintain after his death. I was made very welcome by all the staff who knew me and by those new to the home since my husband died. I was warmly treated and offered coffee, and was pleased to chat with the staff.
The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming.

After a poor experience of respite for mum, we were obviously concerned about her going anywhere, but we were unable to continue caring for mum at home, so after a show around decided on Cubbington Mill. We are very pleased with all aspects of care, cleanliness, activities and catering. The staff are
very good with mum and she is getting to know them and becoming familiar with her new surroundings. It was initially difficult but we are coming into our 4th week and couldn't be more pleased. Thank you, Cubbington Mill.

My dad was admitted to Cubbington Mill at the end of March, having been assessed elsewhere following a stroke. From the second my dad arrived he has been treated so well. The staff from the lovely lady on reception to the management team have gone out of their way to help my dad and his family adjust
to what is obviously traumatic for us all.
I was concerned as the home where he was staying prior was not nice at all. I needn’t have been, Cubbington Mill is top notch.
Compassion and empathy ouse from every member of staff who have given me a shoulder to cry on when things have got on top of me and helped us with the difficult transition to what is now our new way of life.
The rooms and garden are beautiful, clean and welcoming.
I have been fortunate to spend time with some of the other guests who echo what I have seen. It’s like being amongst a loving family.
I would highly recommend this care home above any others that I have visited in Warwickshire.

Karen has worked at Cubbington Mill since the year 2000. She is trained in NVQ Level 2&3 in care. This alongside her many years of experience at Cubbington Mill means she not only delivers exceptional care to our residents but can also assist in training new carers so they can achieve the high care standards required when working for the home.

Waldemar

Waldemar Stezycki

Job Title: Head of Maintenance Joined: 2005

Waldemar has worked at Cubbington Mill since 2005. He is the Health & Safety Coordinator and is responsible for all aspects of the upkeep of the home. He is a "Green Leaf Champion" and in 2014, we achieved the “very good standard” award for environmental performance thanks to Waldemar’s continuous efforts to improve Cubbington Mill’s carbon footprint. Waldemar can often be found keeping our prize-winning gardens, for which we have received a gold award for the 10th consecutive year 'Leamington in Bloom'! He was also awarded Barchester's 'Maintenance Champion 2017'. When he is not decorating or busy in the gardens, he can be found driving the minibus on resident’s days out.

Cheryl Saywell

Hi, I'm Charlie "Cheryl" I'm your new resident ambassador at Cubbington Mill! Anything you want to do or know let me know I'll do my best to rectify.


I can't wait to meet you all. So.... A little bit about me, I was a nurse ward sister for 27 years, specialising in Leukaemia in children and adults. I would like to think I am approachable kind, caring, funny and a good listener. If you aren't careful my practical jokes might catch you out so bear in mind you've been warned!

Paul has a Career spanning over 40 years in Hotels and Michelin Star Restaurants, Paul looks forward to working with his Kitchen Team to produce 5 star service, gaining knowledge of residents preferences and keeping the service running smoothly. Paul is new to care homes but with his knowledge over the last 40 years he’s sure to please. Paul is excited to create relationships with our producers to serve excellent, healthy and balanced homecooked meals with a person centered approach at the heart of everything he does.

Hello I'm Peter, I'm pleased to be announced as Cubbington Mills Resident Ambassador, I know I'm perfect for the role because of the support I get from the team. I chose to move to Cubbington Mill from Southam after hearing such good reviews about the home and visiting it for myself, I knew this would be my forever home. I have a role in the day to day life at Cubbington Mill listening to residents compliments, ideas and complaints, I am also apart of the homes Food Committee

Ula Beckford

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2025

Ula has returned to Cubbington Mill as our General Manager and wow are we pleased! Many of you will already know Ula, who was previously our Deputy Manager and a Registered Nurse here for three years. Since then, she has gone on to become the Region’s Operational Manager, gaining a wealth of experience along the way. Now, she’s come full circle, returning to us.
Ula knows Cubbington Mill inside and out, and she brings with her not only a deep understanding of our home but also a genuine passion for providing the best care and support to our residents, families, and team. Ula is always happy to chat, so please don’t hesitate to say hello or ask any questions you may have.
