From the first moments of my mother becoming a resident at Cubbington Mill Nursing/Care Home, I was very impressed. The level of care, medical knowledge, kindness and compassion is exceptional. It took such a huge weight off my mind to know she was so well cared for. The variety of activities on offer and the beautiful gardens and furnishings provide an environment which works at all levels to nurture each individual through such a sensitive period of life. THANK YOU from my heart.
Support for all the family, not just the residents. Gorgeous gardens.
The staff at Cubbington Mill are all very kind and caring. Not only to residents but also to family members.
A fantastically warm and caring environment for my nan to live out her last days! We were welcomed from day 1 with a very personal and loving team.
We cannot thank them enough for the care they have provided. A clean and always professional home with an unending supply of love and support.
Cubbington Mill is a lovely home. Mum was there for two and half years and the care and staff were excellent. The food was very good too and I would recommend to anyone thinking of putting a loved one in a care home.
Mum had excellent care at Cubbington Mill and I would recommend the care home. The staff are very friendly and it is a clean and welcoming home.
Very welcoming home. I would have no hesitation in staying here myself when the time comes.
Have enjoyed respite stay. Staff were wonderful to me.
The only disadvantage at Cubbington mill is the lack of an en-suite shower. Otherwise, my stay was fine.
Cubbington Mill was described to me as a "family" home and this is true. My dad was only there for around 6 weeks; this didn't matter, it could have been 6 years, they loved him in his final days. Thank you.
Mum was not at Cubbington Mill for very long following a fall when she broke her hip, but she was always treated with the utmost care and compassion which was extended to my brother ab myself during the difficult time as mums life ended and what to do next. I was told if I needed to go in for a chat I was welcome after mum had died. During that time I spent at Cubbington Mill I was able to observe the activities taking place and chatted with some of the residents and staff. I was happy mum spent her days at peace in such a lovely environment.
We have been delighted with the level of care for Mum since she came to Cubbington Mill in April. Also, the cleanliness and general appearance of the home is lovely, althogh the recent refurbishment was somewhat protracted and the overall feeling is a little less homely and more corporate - not really conducive to feeling comfortable.
Overall the staff are exemplary. Thank you.
Staff and food, caring and so nice and clean. Odour free, only good smells, very pleasant home.
Professional visitors, with connections to the medical side, were equally impressed.
Thanks everyone!
Many thanks.
My mother had been in a care home in Essex for 8 years but when my father died, she moved to Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home to be closer to the family. There was no comparison to the previous care home. There is a wonderful feeling about Barchester Cubbington Mill Care Home, from the approach through the beautiful gardens to the warm welcome and the clean bright interior.
The staff are friendly and professional and could not have done more in their caring treatment of my mother, especially as her health deteriorated and she needed more attention.
My family cannot thank everyone enough for giving my mother a very happy home.
Mum was happy there and I would recommend it to any family.
My mother-in-law arrived at Cubbington Mill requiring palliative care. She spent 3 weeks here and the staff have been very helpful and kind. There is a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Nothing has been too much trouble and we are very grateful for the care shown at the end of her life.
I soon felt confident in the care she was receiving and I know she particularly enjoyed the food and ate everything almost until the end. The Cubbington Mill staff were particularly kind and caring right at the end and to me after she had died.
My grandma is 101 yrs and can be quite a difficult patient. The staff and manager assessed this very quickly and dealt with it perfectly. The care they offer is truly amazing. My children are very small and came to visit and the experience was not scary or intimidating as it can be for little ones. Amazing staff, accommodation and management!

Here’s to a new chapter with a familiar face at The Mill — welcome back.

Hello, my name is Jackie and I'm the Cubbington Mill administrator.

Hi, my name is Rose, and I am the activities coordinator at Cubbington Mill!
I have been working in care since I was 17 and am very passionate about my role. I am also currently studying paramedic science at Coventry University, which I thoroughly enjoy. I'm very privileged to work with the wonderful people and residents at Barchester's Cubbington Mill and hope we all make some lovely memories together!
If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill or project you'd like to share with our residents.

I have been working at Cubbington Mill since 2006 after being recruited in the Philippines and completing my adaptation training in London. Now I feel as if England is my home from home. I cared for my own grandparents for many years which began my passion for caring for the elderly which I have today.

Louise is a Cubbington Mill Team Leader and trained to NVQ level 2. She assists the Nurses with the day-to-day running of the first-floor unit, including supervising and supporting care staff at all times. Louise has been caring for the residents of Cubbington Mill since 2000 and is well known amongst staff and residents alike for her big smile and bubbly personality.

Karen has worked at Cubbington Mill since the year 2000. She is trained in NVQ Level 2&3 in care. This alongside her many years of experience at Cubbington Mill means she not only delivers exceptional care to our residents but can also assist in training new carers so they can achieve the high care standards required when working for the home.

Waldemar has worked at Cubbington Mill since 2005. He is the Health & Safety Coordinator and is responsible for all aspects of the upkeep of the home. He is a "Green Leaf Champion" and in 2014, we achieved the “very good standard” award for environmental performance thanks to Waldemar’s continuous efforts to improve Cubbington Mill’s carbon footprint. Waldemar can often be found keeping our prize-winning gardens, for which we have received a gold award for the 10th consecutive year 'Leamington in Bloom'! He was also awarded Barchester's 'Maintenance Champion 2017'. When he is not decorating or busy in the gardens, he can be found driving the minibus on resident’s days out.

After 3 years of classical French training at college, including work experience at the world-famous Claridge’s Hotel in London, I have pursued a career working in high-quality hotels and restaurants, including Michelin-starred establishments, and privately owned care homes. I have a great love of baking and pride myself on preparation and presentation, coupled with great flavours and tasty foods. I am keen to provide Cubbington Mill’s lovely residents with 5-star nutritious, well-balanced meals, conversing with residents of The Days to adapt cultural preferences and dietary needs, and working closely with suppliers.

Hi, I’m Robert also known as Rob!
Rob's wealth of knowledge from his career in Housekeeping in University Halls, ensures Cubbington Mill is kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times with an extremely high standard. Rob looks forward to meeting you all and working with The Mill team!

Hi, I'm Charlie "Cheryl" I'm your new resident ambassador at Cubbington Mill! Anything you want to do or know let me know I'll do my best to rectify.
I can't wait to meet you all. So.... A little bit about me, I was a nurse ward sister for 27 years, specialising in Leukaemia in children and adults. I would like to think I am approachable kind, caring, funny and a good listener. If you aren't careful my practical jokes might catch you out so bear in mind you've been warned!
Laughter is the best medicine.

Hello I'm Peter, I'm pleased to be announced as Cubbington Mills Resident Ambassador, I know I'm perfect for the role because of the support I get from the team. I chose to move to Cubbington Mill from Southam after hearing such good reviews about the home and visiting it for myself, I knew this would be my forever home. I have a role in the day to day life at Cubbington Mill listening to residents compliments, ideas and complaints, I am also apart of the homes Food Committee

I am over the moon to be back with the Cubbington Mill Family. I have worked at Cubbington Mill previously in 2009, before starting a family of my own. I re-joined the team in 2024 after National Customer Experience Champion, Lovely Laura, departed for her new life in Australia with her family. I believe I have a wealth of knowledge in the care industry, and I portray this in my role daily as the home's Administration Assistant.
I love to support with all aspects of the home, whether this be a family matter, financial or simply a resident in need of a cup of tea, I am on hand to ensure everyone is looked after!
