Cliff House

Would just like to say the team at Cliff House have gone well above average considering everything that is going on with COVID 19. They have given residents and their families 110%. They have a hard job to do which many of us could never do! Would like to say keep up the good work and stay safe.

I did have both parents as residents at Cliff House. Sadly my dad passed away in August. All the way through and during the past few weeks of being in Cliff House did me proud of looking after my dad even the last night as he passed away. Couldn't have asked for anyone else to have looked after him. A massive thank you. And my mum is still in their care and as the situation the country is in with COVID-19, I can appreciate everything you have in place as it is keeping my mum safe and well.

Both my mum and dad were living at Cliff House, they made them both very welcome. Although Mum wasn’t sure about living there to start with, all the staff made her safe and secure and now she is very happy there. While there, my dad became really poorly and all the staff went above and beyond the care of my dad who has just recently died. I would definitely recommend Cliff House. I know that my mum is safe and secure and is very well looked after while living there and there is always lots of activities to keep her occupied.

So good that my father went in for 2 weeks respite and after 3 days booked himself in permanently. All of the staff are superb and nothing is too much trouble. They are very caring and keep you informed of any problems - always nice to be kept in the loop.

No one likes to leave a loved one in a care home, but going into Cliff House was made very pleasant in mum's final years.

My father suffers with Parkinsons and dementia so is in Cliff House because of ill health. The staff are brilliant with him. They engage with him every day no matter what his mental state is. They always make him smile, which I know is difficult.

There are lots of activities for residents and opportunities for them to go out on trips. Staff have been excellent as my mum can be difficult to please and they try to encourage her to join in with activities.

Everyone has been kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Any problems we have had have been dealt with professionally. I feel happy that my relative is being cared for in a safe and happy environment.

18 months at Cliff House it's a wonderful home.

I did request she had 2 - 3 baths (showers) per week.

First entering Cliff House to view for my dad it was a very friendly and welcoming welcome from the managers. I was impressed at everything! The cares do an amazing hob and you can see the love they have for the residents, they are all looked after with dignity. The food is amazing, entertainment staff are brilliant. I would highly recommend Cliff House. Thank you.

Brilliant, friendly staff, passionate about the residents. All very friendly and everyone is made to feel welcome and apart of the Cliff House family.

For the more "able" and more ambient residents, I feel more stimulus is needed. What steps are in place for inter-resident "conflict". My mother can be, I have noticed, a bit spiteful towards a particular resident. She can alienate herself through it which is a downward spiral.

My mum initially came into Cliff House for respite and settled so well that we decided it was to become a permanent residency. The staff are fantastic. The home is beautifully clean and smells wonderful. Mum is thoroughly enjoying the food which is wonderful to see as she has been a poor eater in the past few years.

My mother has been in Cliff House for 8 years and she has always been treated with great care and dignity but I believe in recent months, the quality of care is at it's highest. I also have a friend who is a resident at Cliff House on my recommendation because the quality of care is so very good.

Our mother has been a resident in Cliff House since 2016. There have been many changes over this period with much improvement. The home is clean and fresh, food is well prepared and varied. Care is good and the carers are excellent with activities and entertainment being a priority. Mum is happy in the environment provided at Cliff House

I found this house and staff welcoming, caring and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. The residents stay was short but happy.

Enjoyed staying at Cliff House. Have had the best care - lovely staff - food good - nice atmosphere throughout.

Lovely to get hair done on site. Also had a manicure and nail polish - a special treat for me!

Residents pockets are not checked before clothes are taken to laundry. Wristwatch and spectacles have been put through the washer and dryer thus destroying them.

My mum was only in Cliff House for a few weeks but she was happy and was constantly praising the staff. She also enjoyed the meals saying there was always a good choice. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
