Every day there are activities for residents to take part in (if they wish), from baking, crafting, shows and events even support dogs and animals which mum really enjoys. The nursing staff also take excellent care of mum and see to all her medical needs and having the district nurses and doctors visit regularly can help prevent any medical issues developing, which is also a great comfort to us. I know the staff have my mums welfare at the centre of everything they do. Ironically she never wanted to go into a care home but this has made her life so much better/happier on many levels and we know she is in safe hands.

They have a health visitor to go weekly so if a resident needs attention they are put on the ward round. They also have a hairdresser who goes weekly and a podiatrist who goes regularly.
An excellent care home . Very well managed and organised . There is a happy atmosphere whenever I visit my stepmother at The Green . She is happy , well looked after and her needs met with kindness and respect . The staff have the patience of saints and a good sense of humour !

Unfortunately my dad's stay was a short one as he moved there on end of life care. From the very first moment we walked in I knew my dad was going to be extremely happy and at home there as it was like one big happy family. The staff go above and beyond everyday they showed my dad so much love, care and support in his final months and was also his safe space when everything got too much for him. I'm honestly in awe of every single member of team at the green Dronfield as they treat every person as an individual they always have time for a chat or just to pop in and make sure everything is ok. Not only did every member of staff make sure that my dad kept onto his dignity to the end they treated him with respect and compassion and made sure that his final home was full of warmth and laughter and love. The support we received as a family was amazing nothing was too much trouble everyone spoke everyday we visited and we were greeted with a warm welcome.
From her arrival all the staff were very welcoming & supportive of mum & the family. She was always included in all aspects of life at the Green & although mum wasn't very responsive the staff...

I cannot recommend 'The Green' enough. The staff are extremely caring for my mother in law and nothing is too much trouble. They also do activities like singalongs which she loves. If there are any health issues, we are contacted immediately and kept updated all the time.

Unfortunately Mum's stay at The Green was only very short as she moved there for end of life care. From the moment she arrived she was treated with the utmost care and respect, as was I during my visits. I was kept informed of all changes in her health and all my wishes were taken into consideration. Our mother initially went into The Green Care Home for respite care following a fall and inability to care for herself safely at home. She was initially reluctant to leave her home of many years and uncertain if this was the right place for her, and understandably it took a good few weeks for her to settle. She now considers The Green to be her home and describes it as "like one big family". The staff have all been very supportive of her and communicative with us; they are friendly, patient and kind and take our mother's health and care needs seriously. We are enormously grateful to them. I would not hesitate to recommend The Green to anyone looking for residential care for their loved ones.

Jaissa joined The Green Care Home in September 2012 as a Staff Nurse. Jaissa has since been promoted to the role of Deputy Home Manager and now Home Manager.
Jaissa embraces the role of Home Manager whilst still performing her role as RGN (Registered General Nurse).
She is driven to provide a care home that is comfortable and welcoming to all the residents who live there, whilst ensuring all staff are performing well and keeping them abreast of all the latest clinical and care information.
Jaissa has a calm but confident nature, which allows residents and their families to feel relaxed in her presence. People often comment on what a kind and wonderful manager she is. Jaissa genuinely is very caring and takes time to listen to the residents' needs and reacts effectively and compassionately.
Nothing is too much trouble for Jaissa, she is always happy to help out, covering shifts for colleagues – she has even cancelled her holiday (twice!), to cover when one of her colleagues was off sick.
Jaissa’s extensive experience in nursing means that she is a great role model for other nurses within the home. She constantly uses her own skills to help others develop their skills further and to really get the best out of her staff.
