The Green took care of my father after he was recovering from a bout of pneumonia. They took such lovely care of him and really did help him on the road to recovery. He really needed a rest after being so poorly, and that is precisely what he got at The Green. The staff were so kind and caring and when he left there, he was very sorry to say goodbye. I would wholeheartedly recommend The Green. It is a well-organised and beautifully run care home with a very high standard of care.

The staff at The Green are caring and compassionate and do their best to make my mum feel settled and cared for. All the staff, from the manager to the maintenance men, are all great with her and treat her like the individual she is. Her room and the home in general is clean and well-maintained, and my mum has been able to personalise her room with her own furniture and pictures etc. The Green is well run and it seems that the majority of the staff are permanent, not bank, which is reassuring. There is a wide programme of activities and entertainment on offer if you want to join in, but participation is optional of course. Overall, the atmosphere at The Green is positive and I am happy that my mum is cared for. Thank you to all at The Green.

The staff are friendly and caring and my aunt has settled in quickly. She now has significant needs and these are compassionately met. The home is light and airy with well-maintained sitting areas with views into a well-kept garden. I’m sure my aunt would rather still be in her own home but sadly this is no longer possible and this is a very good second best. I am very grateful to my cousins for finding it for her.

The Green Care Home has taken care of my mother for the last 2 years of her life. The staff could not have been more caring and are wonderful and compassionate.
The manager runs the place in a friendly and professional manner.
I can recommend The Green to anyone. It’s well-run and ultra-clean.

10/10 from me.

My father spent his final months at The Green. I never once drove away concerned about the care he was receiving. The care staff quickly got to know my father (and his ways!) well, easing his transition into the home with skill and care. The consistency of staff (both personnel and approach) enabled him to trust and settle into a care pattern. That he felt known and was comfortable with the carers was evident in our visits. The nursing provision was skilled in delivery, and communication with us as a family was very good. I felt fully informed of his condition and progress at all times. The transition from ‘palliative’ to an ‘end of life’ was as good as it could have been, and the space afforded to us as a family in his final hours was a gift for which we are very thankful.

From the minute you step into The Green Care Home you sense that it is a well run, happy place. The staff worked together like one big family to make sure that my dad settled into his new life with dignity, respect and a positive outlook. Everywhere is kept very clean, the laundry service is excellent and the food tasty. The carers and nursing team are amazing at the best and worst of times and their care and support of dad (and me) has been beyond expectations. Thank you everyone at The Green Care Home.

My mothers end of life care could not have been better.
The nursing care my mum received during the two weeks she was there was so caring and dignified.
The senior carer is amazing and the standards she maintains with her carers shows in the way the carers work and conduct themselves.
As a family we could not have asked for more and the day mum passed the nurse and carers that day showed mum top class care as well as bringing five of mum's children drinks and sandwiches later that afternoon until mum sadly passed away near to midnight.
I wish mum had been at The Green Care Home for longer and spent her Residential time here before she needed nursing care.
The amenities and activities are all well managed and catered for.
No wonder CQC have rated this home as Good which I would agree is safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led.

Thank you to everyone at The Green for looking after our mum and caring for her with such excellent care in her last moments with us. xxxx

Generally, I am very happy with the care received by my relative.
Although communication with him is very difficult, the staff seem to work hard to make sure he is involved in the daily life of the home.
The nursing care is good.
Staff are approachable if rather rushed at times.
His room is small but adequate.

Having been there a few months he seems to have settled in well.

I searched and visited several care homes to find one suitable for my mother-in-law. I was despairing until I visited The Green. At once, I felt this was a place more suited to her needs. It was clean, friendly and had a lovely fresh smell. The room we chose for Mother was a good size. Mother was at The Green for 30 months until she passed away. The care she was given throughout that time was excellent and we felt that the staff worked hard to make sure that everything was as good as it could be. We are very grateful to all the staff at the Green.

So far, I have been happy with the service at the home. The rooms and reception area are very clean and tidy. Staff are always helpful and kind too. I would maybe like to know more individual things to understand the daily routine.

Mum moved into the Green in late September 2021, 6 months into a 6-9 months terminal bone cancer diagnosis. She was in a lot of pain and discomfort, as time passed and her condition got worse, she lost the use of most parts of her body. The team at the Green were wonderful in monitoring her needs and adapting their support for her. They also supported us as a family, acknowledging the stress and sadness we were feeling at the prospect of losing our Mum, all in spite of their own problems trying to deal with the restrictions placed on them by Covid. In the final days, we were allowed unrestricted visiting which allowed us to see and speak to Mum when she was able to communicate with us.

Although my mother was only at The Green for ten days to receive end of life care, I was extremely impressed with every aspect of her care. The home is well decorated and spotlessly clean; it felt more like a hotel. My mother’s room was rearranged and her favourite pictures were hung on the wall making her room very homely. The staff were kind and professional and kept her comfortable and pain-free. The home is very well managed and communication was superb. The strict rules regarding PPE and Covid testing were well adhered to, yet we were made to feel very welcome at any time. My mother was treated with respect and dignity and had I known care homes could be like this, I would not have feared it. There was a lovely feeling of calmness and the other residents were happy, smiling and laughing. I cannot fault The Green over those ten days, knowing my mother did not suffer in any way here is such an enormous comfort and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. Thankyou.

My Dad was in this home for the last 2 weeks of his life. The care given to him was extremely good, the staff where always available for a chat, and kept me informed of his condition. They looked after home with compassion and kindness. They were there for him in his last few hours and for this I will be forever grateful. I can not praise the staff at The Green enough.

Thank you

Our friend recently passed away at The Green in Dronfield after being a resident since November 2020. Prior to this, he'd had an accident resulting in a severe stroke and multiple injuries to add to the cancer he was already suffering from. He'd been hospitalised for 2 months prior to The Green. My wife and I held LPA on his behalf and chose The Green for our friend because my mother had been happily resident there and we had been impressed with the care she received. Once again, I cannot praise the management and staff at The Green highly enough. While they could not reverse his paralysis or restore his mental capacity he improved both physically and mentally during his time there. Most important to him was the company and the banter with staff. Although he could at times be difficult and challenging, he was always met with great care and respect. Management and staff were also very helpful to us. I would happily recommend The Green and will gladly move in myself if and when the time comes.

My dear friend was admitted to The Green on the 9th January 2021 after having suffered a very serve stroke in November. He was disabled down his left side and doubly incontinent. His speech was limited. The care he received from all the nursing staff and the young care workers who were so careful, attentive and so supportive was invaluable. Because of Covid, I was unable to visit (apart from window visits) but could see through the window all the attention he was receiving. I cannot praise the staff enough; nothing was too much trouble.

I would like to commend the Home Manager and all the staff for the sterling way they have handled the Covid pandemic. The Green Care Home in Dronfield went into lockdown well before the rest of the country, to safeguard the welfare of the staff and residents and thanks to the Manager's care and guidance we have not lost any residents.
We visited my mother-in-law for the first time a few weeks ago and she is well, content and also seems to have put on weight, which is great news.

I would not hesitate to recommend The Green to anyone looking for a home with staff who really care about the very important job that they do and the people they do it for. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have found a home that has welcomed my mother-in-law and cared for her so well.

Having looked at dozens of care homes when I could no longer care for my mother at home, I despaired at ever finding somewhere that I deemed suitable, that was until someone told me about The Green.
When you first go through the doors it is more like a hotel than a care home, the place is spotless.

The staff are quite clearly highly trained and they seem to have a real passion about the work that they do, nothing is too much trouble for them. I would like to take this opportunity to thank every one of them for working so hard during these difficult times and ensuring the safety of all the residents.

I managed to get my mum moved into The Green after a bad experience in another local care home. Since the move, Mum is much happier with the standard of care and friendly staff. During this difficult time they have kindly allowed me managed visits which has significantly helped my mum's wellbeing.
