My sister moved in here about 6 weeks ago, she has settled in very well. Her room is amazing and she says she is really happy and contented here. My sister joins in with all the activities that are on offer here. She would recommend this home to anyone.

Following a very difficult period in hospital and the trauma of having to give up living independently mum arrived at Valley Lodge Nursing Home confused, upset and thoroughly fed up with life. The staff have been so kind and patient with her even when she appears not to appreciate it. She is taking some time to settle but they are doing everything they can to make her feel comfortable. From the family's point of view we are so relieved to have found this home, we viewed many and have been impressed with the professional way it is run, range of activities, cleanliness and know mum is now safe. This lovely home is extremely good value for money.

My mother attended this Care Home for Respite Care, and I was very satisfied and happy with the level of care and help she received whilst staying in the home.
The staff were courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
I visited regularly and felt on each visit the place was clean and tidy, many activities were carried out for residents.

Would certainly recommend - very nice feel to the place - well done!

Attend lunch club weekly, given nice welcome each week. Made friends, it is a welcome break to the isolation of living alone. The club provides good value for the money. Look forward to the club and often asked about it. Missed the club when it was not available for a month.

Staff very caring couldn't do more. Activity staff conscientious, though it would be good if more stimulating activities were available, though I realise the limitations of some residents may not allow this. The food is good. Home kept exceptionally clean. Communication between management and staff seems very poor. I wish more care were taken with the positioning of mum in her wheelchair she never seems to have her bottom right back

I visit Valley Lodge Nursing Home on a monthly basis for the last two years. I walk around watching the staff and how they interact with the residents. I monitor their training needs, policy and procedure. I talk with the staff and I have got to know some of the residents and I can tell by their facial expressions how they are feeling. I love watching the residents expressions when the girls sit and talk to them. They always take time with their memory boxes. It is a pleasure to see and I love the staff and the way they treat each resident as an individual.

I am Rebecca and am delighted to be the manager of Valley Lodge.

I am a registered nurse and like nothing more than getting stuck into care.

I believe that one of my main roles as a manger is to invest in the staff so that they are confident and competent in their role. By doing this, the staff are then able to deliver outstanding care to our residents.

I also believe that we are here to live every day to the full and so this is the ethos of the home.

When I am not at work I have 3 fabulous daughters and 3 dogs (plus assortment of other animals!) who I love to walk in the local woodland.

Hi, I’m Phoebe! I absolutely love having a good chat and getting to know the families and individuals that give us a ring. My goal is to make the process of finding the right home as easy and reassuring as possible.

This is something close to my heart — I’ve had two of my own family members stay within our group, so I truly understand how important it is to feel confident and comfortable in your choice.

If you call us during the week, chances are you’ll get me on the other end of the phone. I’m always happy to answer any questions you have — and if I don’t know the answer right away, I’ll make it my mission to find out for you. I’ll be here for you every step of the way, making sure you feel supported, listened to, and at ease.
