Friendly, attentive staff. It's clear to see my mother-in-law is really well looked after. Hair nails etc. She's bright, cheerful, alert and appears happy. Need tings to do, colouring, activity sheets perhaps.

Would highly recommend this home to anyone. The staff go above and beyond to care for the residents and for us relatives too. The entertainment that I have been to is just great - lovely, friendly atmosphere. The food and dining experience looks very much improved too. My dad seems very satisfied; he often tells me he is happy here, which is such a comfort to me. Keep up the good work.

Mum went in April 2023 for respite care and had extensive nursing needs due to multiple health issues. Her medical conditions improved greatly with care from all the nursing team, especially one staff member in particular. The care team were excellent and all, apart from two persons, would always smile and engage positively when you visited. Cleaners, especially one cleaner in particular, look out and engage with the residents. We had one complaint regarding Mum's care and it was dealt with professionally by the deputy manager and we felt we were listened to and the staff member was advised accordingly. The previous manager was excellent from the start, when we started the process of moving Mum in she was always accessible and had time to discuss any concerns. This manager moved on, but we felt that the deputy manager and the new manager have picked up the reigns. Another staff member was always accessible with queries re finance, admin etc. Only improvement, the door bell confusion for visitors and waits at times! Mum came home in September so well done to the team. Success.

My husband has been in the nursing home for over two years, and I have nothing but praise for the staff. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They treat the residents with such kindness, care and respect, which also extends to their families. There are also activities every day for residents who are able to take part. It is a homely, happy atmosphere when you walk in. I would not wish for my husband to be anywhere else.

The staff here are brilliant. They are taking good care of my grandmother. It's so sad to see your grandparents here, but at the same time, they are very well supported and looked after, giving you the reassurance they are in the best place for them and the safest place for them.

Hats off to all the staff, as I most definitely could not do this challenging job with a smile as they do.

My wife has received excellent care from all the staff of the nursing home. She went into the home in July, suffering from severe dementia. It's hard to let someone who you've loved and cherished go into care, but any doubts I had were soon eradicated because the home is now an extended family.

She is dancing and joining in with the activities of the home. I can recommend Sherwood Forest to anyone who is looking for care for their relatives because of the friendly professional care that my wife has received since she entered the home five months ago!

Our mum has been at Sherwood Forest for nearly three years now. The staff are always pleasant and cannot do enough for you when you visit. They all appear friendly and caring when dealing with Mum, which can be very challenging at times. The food is excellent, and the activities have much improved with new staff and since Covid restrictions have reduced.

Very good care from an excellent manager and a fantastic team.
Care, happiness and well-being are paramount at Sherwood, and whenever information and updates are received from staff, they are done in a positive way - clearly, nothing is too much to ask of the team to enable a very high level of care to be received by my father.

It is easy to arrange visits and take my father out, and the staff are more than willing to make both situations very easy and beneficial for me and my father and others that visit.
