Nightingales Nursing Home provided end of life care for mum following her terminal diagnosis and my brother and I both felt like we could not have picked a better home for her final few weeks. The home felt so homely and comfortable and the staff were very welcoming. The care provided by all staff was excellent, from the delicious home cooked meals, hot cups of tea and freshly laundered clothes to the dignified personal care and excellent nursing care. Although mum was only there for a few weeks, the staff took their time to get to know her and watch over her in her final days and hours - something we will be eternally grateful for. Thank you Nightingales.

Rose thank you for your lovely comments. It is nice to hear that you felt the team treated your mum with dignity and respect at this trying time. We do try to involve the family to ensure the residents, which in this case is your mum and their family can truly feel we have done a good job .

The care my mum received during her time at Nightingale's Nursing Home has been exceptional. The team created a real home-away-from-home atmosphere, showing constant kindness, patience and genuine warmth. It gave our family such peace of mind knowing she was so well looked after. Thank you for making her feel comfortable, cared for and truly at home.

Thank you Lorraine for the lovely comments. The staff do aim to ensure this is their home and we are the visitors giving the care. I am lucky to be working with an exceptional team who enjoy their work.

Both my mother and father became residents of Nightingales Nursing Home in late 2023, my dad for end of life care, and my mum with dementia (dad was mum's carer). My dad was nursed there for four months and the care he received was excellent. All the staff, nurses, carers and helpers were very attentive and caring. He enjoyed the meals and was, I believe, very happy there for his last few months. Once he passed, the nursing home carried on caring for my mum, and continue to do this until the day of writing this review. Mum is very happy there and the staff and carers are all wonderful with mum. We cannot recommend the home enough and are very grateful to them for looking after my parents so professionally, sympathetically and efficiently and for making mum smile every day.

My husband was admitted to Nightingale Nursing Home, and I immediately felt comfortable about him being cared for by Nightingale Nursing Home. It is clean, comfortable and tidy. The staff are knowledgeable, efficient, caring, sympathetic, understanding and friendly. I was telephoned by the nursing home when my husband's life got near to the end, in the middle of the night. Together, with my daughter, and a little later also my son, we were met by a caring, understanding, friendly and efficient member of staff.

I cannot thank the staff enough for the care my husband received and the understanding we were met with. Thank you!

I was admitted to Nightingale's Nursing Home in December 2020 following lots of falls and head trauma. When admitted, I was unable to move and required complete total care to the extent that I believed I would never leave. Due to the dedication of the staff and especially the Matron, within a few of months, I was able to feed myself and take daily walks and was able to be discharged in June 2021. I really cannot commend enough the work that Nightingale's do for their residents. They work so hard to ensure the comfort of the residents. I cannot recommend Nightingale's Nursing Home for anyone in need of good nursing care enough.

The needs of my mother were sympathetically met by very caring, attentive and friendly staff. Nightingales were most considerate and welcoming to my elderly father too, as he visited each afternoon.

Her room was comfortable, practical and set in very pleasant grounds.

My husband stayed at the Nightingale's from September until he passed away in January. The matron and staff were very caring and compassionate in all that they did.

I would not hesitate to recommend this home. Before my husband passed away, he said he couldn't be happier to be staying there. Best Nursing home there is.

My father was admitted in July 2015 due to coming to the end of his life. The love, care and support we all had as a family was exceptional. The staff were understanding and treated my dad with the dignity and respect he deserved in his final hours. He was in a lovely room with a view over a garden which we were able to describe to him although he wasn't conscious he would have loved it. He was only there for 30 hours but in that time the care team understood his every need. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to be cared for to a high standard. We couldn't have chosen a better place. Thank you

In short all staff did not just show how much they cared for my dad they went above and beyond helping us get him home. Our extreme gratitude to the matron for her help and not to forget all the staff involved in my dad's care, thank you all.
