Every aspect of care was excellent. The kind, professional approach of every member of staff, exemplary. The lady we refer to was always clean and comfortable. She loved the food and her room was always spotless.
As visitors we were spoken to with utmost respect, nothing was too much trouble, information
was given willingly.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Hinckley Park to friends or relatives. Well done.

Grandma has been made to feel very welcome in her new home.

Her room is lovely and clean and the furniture is of great quality.

The staff have all treated her with care and dignity, making the time to find out about her life before moving into her new home.

My mother in law was a resident for approximately 10 weeks. She had terminal cancer when she arrived and stayed until her death. I visited fortnightly and the staff at Hinckley Park were always helpful and friendly to me but more importantly, they were fantastic with my mother in law.
The staff always
gave her the care she needed but on top of that they made her feel part of the care home community and gave her the kindness and affection she craved. I was very impressed with the care my mother in law received throughout her stay.

My mother was transferred to Hinckley Park from hospital. She had a terminal illness. During her stay at Hinckley Park, she was treated with dignity and friendliness. While she was able, she enjoyed the activities. The nurses and care workers were always there for her and nothing was too much trouble.
I was continually kept up to date with my mother's condition and on her passing, I was treated with the greatest compassion.

The care that my husband received was excellent and made a difficult time more acceptable. The staff could not do enough for him and when he found eating difficult, they went out of their way to try and get him something that he could eat. The food was very good and served in a very appetising way to
tempt the patients.
He was also kept very clean (he was fond of his showers) and well attended to and his room was very nice and though small, was quite adequate for his needs.
The family were also made welcome and if I stayed for some time I was offered a dinner and as many cups of tea as I needed so I did not feel in the way at any time.
When my husband died, the staff were very kind and did all they could to help him have a peaceful death for which I am extremely grateful.
I would have no difficulty in recommending this care home to others in the same situation.
Once again thank you all very much.

My mother was looked after very well and all her needs were taken care of at all times by the lovely staff who cannot do enough for all their residents. They would do special food for her to encourage her to eat and always kept us informed of her problems at all times. Our thanks go to all the staff
and doctors for their help and support at this sad time.

My nana was a resident in Hinckley Park for a few months and she enjoyed her stay very much. All the staff looking after her were amazing, they were dedicated to their work and always went the extra mile. The manager was very attentive and helpful anytime we needed any advise or just for a little chat.
The food was delicious and drinks were available anytime for visitors.
I would recommend this home to anyone. My nana felt very safe and received the very best of care there. A lovely home.

I would like to thank the management and staff for all the wonderful care they provided for my mum while she lived at Hinckley Park. All the services provided were excellent, everyone was so friendly, helpful and professional in all they did, everywhere was furnished lovely and spotlessly clean and
kept to the highest standard.

My mum felt very safe and was always treated with dignity, she celebrated her 81st birthday there in January, many of the staff came to join in along with her family and friends to sing Happy Birthday, making her day so special.
Thank you once again, I would definitely recommend the home.

I recently visited my best friend's mother who was receiving end of life care. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and dignity shown to this lady by every single member of staff I came into contact with. I was impressed with how staff, despite their obvious busy workload, took the time to talk to me
about her health. It is lovely to walk into a care home and it actually felt like being at home. Everyone is friendly and there always seemed to be a large number of residents in the lounge, often taking part in a variety of activities. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone, I loved it.

The home is kept very clean and is now well decorated in public areas. Food is usually good and plentiful. Mum is kept clean and her clothes well laundered. Most staff are very pleasant and caring and seem to have a good relationship with mum. Mum is virtually unable to move herself and I have expressed
the concern that her position is not altered often enough. Generally speaking, I have no concerns that mum is being well looked after.

I visit my friend Cynthia at Hinckley Park Care Home as often as I can. The staff are very friendly but professional. The home always smells fresh and looks very clean. On several occasions, I have witnessed marvellous activities and entertainment which Cynthia really enjoys. Her favourite is the music
with the lovely bubbly lady that dances with jiggly bells. The manager is always seen around and is very approachable. I would recommend this marvellous home to anyone.

I visited my Great Aunt as I hadn't seen her for over a year and was pleasantly surprised at how well she looked. The staff were busy but had time to chat to me and tell me what she had been doing and how much she enjoys the armchair Zumba which is held at the home. The home is clean and there are no
bad smells. The atmosphere is calm. Everyone greeted me with a smile. The food that was being served was all freshly prepared. I would highly recommend this home to others. My Aunt said she is happy to live there and feels like part of the family.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.825)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.825) out of 10 for Hinckley Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 21 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.825 for Hinckley Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (212 Excellents x 5) + (34 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 251 Ratings = 4.825
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hinckley Park Care Home is based on 21 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 registered maximum number of service users is 8, which has been reached with 21 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
