My mum was admitted to the Willows in Jan 2020 from hospital after being seriously ill. It was only going to be temporary whilst she gained her strength back. After 6 months she decided she would stay . Which she did till see sadly died 6 weeks before here 102 birthday
I lived 80 miles away , but l had absolutely no worry about her as the care she received always went above and beyond. Everyone l was in contact with either in person or on the phone ( it was in covid ) were so kind, caring, compassionate to her, she was treated with dignity, she was listened to, l could not have wished for better staff to look after her

She was very happy there, she kept the staff amused by her tales of her years in the army during the war, and on their toes when she wanted her mid morning coffee and newspaper, Everyone loved her to bits. She was a one off. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, keep up the wonderful care you give

My sister-in-law has been at the Willows nearly 4 years. Throughout this time she has received great care, is happy there and feels safe. We don't have any worries about her, and any situations that may arise, the home contacts us to make us aware. She has done more in the last four years than when she was at home, a bit of a recluse after the death of her husband.

My mum was in the Willows from March 2025 until December 2025 when she sadly passed away. In that time me and the family were very please with the care she received. She came to the Willows because she needed nursing care and because her condition meant she was never going to get better, we felt she was better in herself than in the previous home. She was always clean she loved the food and she seemed as happy as she could be. We will always be grateful to the staff at the Willows and would recommend the Willows to anyone.

My mum in law was a resident at The Willows Care Home Shepshed for 5 years. In all that time, she was treated with the upmost respect, and it became her home. The staff were all very kind and attentive to her needs. It was a happy place for her, and she liked to be in the lounge with the other residents and staff. If anyone asked me to recommend a care home for their loved one, I would certainly recommend The Willows.

I would like to Thank all the staff at the Willows for all the care they gave my mum.
My mum was always dressed well, clean and most importantly happy. The staff are always smiling and took time to speak to me and my family no matter how busy they were.
We never walked out at the end of a visit feeling any worry or guilt because we knew my mum was being looked after above and beyond.
One of the big things I would like to highlight is communication, the home are brilliant with raising any concerns straight away and they always got to a solution quickly and efficiently. Also, whenever you ring the home the phone is always answered.
The daily activity's my mum loved and the home recently even took my mum to Loughborough fair which she loved.
The food is incredible and freshly made daily, nobody would ever go hungry that's for sure.
If you're looking for a place to put a loved one, I would highly recommend the Willows.

Thank you again.

As a friend, attorney for health and welfare and next of kin to Ivan, an 89 year old resident of the Willows Care Home, I gladly recommend this care home and thought it excellent.
Ivan went into respite care at the home after struggling living alone with dementia, a brain tumour and two other forms of cancer. The staff and management at the Willows were warm, welcoming, caring, professional and kind. They dealt well with his initial troubles adjusting to the change and he was soon happily calling the place home.
Ivan's condition was deteriorating before him entering the home, but he stabilised well and was always dealt with kindly, professionally and efficiently as more medical needs arose. we were always kept informed of any health concerns and visiting the home a couple of times a week allowed me to see the great staff and their care.

Ivan passed away in the home in August 2025. Again the staff were excellent in their care for him during this time and so kind to us as well.

Whenever we visited Dad he was dressed smartly, clean and well groomed. The staff at the Willows all knew my Dad and could update up as requested. Any concerns were easily discussed and addressed and my Dad was treated with respect at all times.

It was good to know that whenever I called there was someone ready to answer and deal with any questions or concerns. As Dad's health deteriorated towards the end we couldn't have asked for a more kind and caring team to look after Dads every need and the support they gave to our family is greatly appreciated.

They treated Dad with dignity from the moment he arrived until the day he departed to his funeral.

The peace of mind I and my family had that Dad was safe and well looked after was worth a fortune.

My mother was in The Willows for three years until her death in April 2024 and had severe dementia. Throughout her time at the home we were so pleased with how she was treated. Her last few months were particularly difficult but the staff were excellent and took such good care of her and also communicated well with me. I visited the home many times sometimes in the middle of the night in response to a phone call and I was always very impressed by what I saw and heard not only in relation to my own mother but in how other residents were treated and spoken to. I cannot recommend The Willows too highly.

My auntie came to The Willows, after spending 3 months in hospital, almost two years ago, she was so very frail, that she wasn't expected to live for much longer, but that was before the team at The Willows were involved, she's now looking healthy, walking, eating well and is looking wonderful! She's just had her hair done, and she loves it, she loves a little pampering! Over the last month, she has been treated to a visit from a Shetland pony, a dog, magician, singers, and they had wonderful Christmas decorations with parties etc, the home is now geared up for Valentine's day! My Auntie always compliments the food, and always says how nice the staff are. So from maintenance, cleaners, carers, nurses, laundry, receptionists and management, thank you for all you do! If there's ever a problem, I'm always contacted and fully informed of what has happened and how it's been/being resolved, so I can be rest assured that my auntie's safety and health are priority. Thank you again.

We have used The Willows Care Home for respite care for my mother-in-law, who suffers from Parkinsons disease and with her mental health/anxiety. The staff are all very understanding of her as a person rather than just her medical conditions. They are exceptionally patient with her when she decides to become a difficult customer! We would definitely recommend The Willows to anyone in a similar circumstance to us and will be using the care home again in the future for respite stays.

I am so pleased that my son has settled so well at The Willows. My son has been through some very tough times but now regards The Willows as his home. This is all due to the excellent care he receives from all the staff, they all go that extra mile to ensure his wellbeing, comfort and reassurance. I am also grateful for all the support that both I and his brother receive from the management team and also the registered nurses and carers where any issues are dealt with promptly. In fact every single one of all the staff are truly amazing.

I wish to thank The Willows Care Home for the care that was given to Mum during the last days of her life. I will be forever grateful that she was surrounded by the best caring people we could have hoped for. She was constantly visited by staff in her room and exceptional personal care continued right up until the end. A special mention should go to the Nursing staff who spent time with Mum during her last hours reassuring and comforting her. For which I will be forever grateful.

After leaving hospital with physical evidence of neglect we were fortunate in getting a place at The Willows. In a short space of time, we witnessed a definite improvement. My husband seems well cared for and settled in very quickly. He was also content and more relaxed. His sugar levels were normalised and sores remedied. I am also relieved and happy that my husband is being so well looked after.

My dad came to you from hospital almost 2 years ago as 'end of life'. However, with the care, compassion and patience from the wonderful staff at The Willows not only did he recover but he positively flourished, beginning to eat again and gaining weight. Despite having dementia, my dad was always cheerful when we visited him and seemed happy at The Willows, often commenting that his bed was warm and comfortable!

When the end came for him on 6th November 2023, our family, when we came to say our goodbyes, were treated with the same kindness and compassion that had been shown to my dad throughout his time there. Thank you to everyone at The Willows, we knew dad was always safe in your care.

Kindest regards

Mum and I visited The Willows with a view to booking respite care so I could take a break from caring. From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. Sadly, before mum could have her respite break she became ill and went into hospital. She required palliative care and we were delighted she could end her days in The Willows. The home is lovely and well maintained. The staff are the most caring you could meet. Losing mum has been tough but their care for mum and us as her family has been a true comfort.

My mum was looked after at The Willows for four very challenging years, through lockdowns, declining health, and ever-reducing mobility. However, the staff were always positive, caring, compassionate, cheerful, and loving, and it really did feel that they treated her as "family." The decision to go into residential care is always going to be an incredibly difficult one, but moving into The Willows meant that my mum's quality of life was far better than it was before, knowing that she was safe and had nursing care and company on hand whenever she needed it.
