We were always so reluctant to let Mum go into a Care Home but from the very first day, we knew we had made the right decision. Every single member of staff was quite simply wonderful and could not do enough for our mum. Even down to making her birthday special with a wonderful homemade cake, singing happy birthday and making a lovely fuss of her.

The staff were all so lovely, caring, and friendly and went above and beyond every single day providing the very best care at all times. There is literally nothing we could fault with The Willows and we will be eternally grateful from the very bottom of our hearts for everything the amazing staff did to care for our mum. We thank each and every one of you enormously!

On coming to live at The Willows our grandson has been extremely happy and we are so pleased with how well he has settled. We have nothing but praise for the staff and management. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we are so lucky to have found The Willows, as our grandson would say, they are all spot on!

My mum receives good care from the staff at The Willows. I feel the care is good but it is very expensive. My mum does not have any nursing needs, her needs are social but there is not a reduced price for this which means that at some point I will have to find an alternative placement as her money will run out. This will be disruptive to my mum and I am putting this move off for as long as possible.

The staff are very friendly and Mum is clean and well-dressed 99% of the time. They address any issues as soon as they are raised. It is a home-from-home for my mum.

My wife always uses The Willows for her respite care. The team understand her needs and recognise the importance of the balance between treating her physical condition and looking after her mental health.
There is the added bonus that one of the supervisors cared for her at home prior to joining the team at The Willows.

Knowing that my wife will be looked after enables me to get the full benefit of a break.

The home was family-friendly, caring and attentive. Staff were genuinely interested in the patient and helpful in the way they treated individuals. They also showed a great deal of experience when dealing with the patients in a very difficult time with lockdown and Covid. They did all they could in allowing families to see their relatives under trying conditions.

All staff very caring and attentive. Nothing too much trouble and will go the extra mile to ensure Mum was comfortable in her stay.

Encourage Mum to keep doing her knitting to keep her fingers and mind active. Always made her presentable.

My Mum was in the Willows for 6 months in 2022. I would not recommend The Willows for a number of reasons: 1. Even after covid restrictions were lifted, visiting was not allowed at the weekend unless you obtained special dispensation from the manager. I found it degrading to have to beg the manager of the care home for permission to visit my own Mum. 2. The home were not sympathetic when we had a delay in funding due to an oversight of the council. The home began invoicing me as next of kin with fees of over £1,000 a week, saying they needed funds to 'keep the lights on'. The Willows made over £608,000 in profit during the financial year of this period. I felt there was no consideration re the stress this put on me to be landed with these huge invoices. 3. The facilities are in dire need of refurbishment. The rooms are small and grotty. There is a shrill alarm that sounds throughout the building almost constantly. I could go on but I have reached the review length limit.

A simple heartfelt thank you.

Dad always wanted to stay at home for as long as possible before moving into a care home, but with falling and safety concerns mounting, the difficult decision had to be made. A care home will only ever be as good as the genuine caring nature of the people who work there. It is not only the nurses and carers that people immediately see and meet but also all of the vital staff working anonymously in the background, from the gardeners to the managers, from the admin staff to the kitchen staff to the laundry staff and everyone that makes up the caring team. Although our dad was in your lives for a short time, you were in the rest of his life, and the care and attention you gave to him in the twilight of his days was sensitive, respectful and with dignity. So, from us all to all of you, we would like to say simply thank you for making the unbearable few days just that little bit more bearable. With our deepest gratitude

My brother was transferred to the Willows directly from hospital, where he had been for the last 3 months. Basically, the hospital had fast-tracked him on NHS continuing health care with an assess to review meeting planned for 10th of March which didn't take place because he died on this day. I was not aware that he was at the end of his life, as no one at the hospital had informed me. However, on speaking to the qualified nurse at the Willows she sensitively ensured that I knew how ill my brother was and intimated that he had very little time left to live. The care my brother received was very good and the staff did everything they could to make his last few days as comfortable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble from the cleaner, who seeing me upset that my brother might be in pain rushed off to get me a nurse, to all of the care staff and registered nurses. My sister and I could visit him and we were phoned by the staff once end of life drugs were administered. Thank you to all at the Willows.

We moved my mother and father to The Willows after the care home they were in, closed down. From the first day, my parents were there; I knew it was the right choice. Unfortunately, Dad passed away recently having only spent a few months there, but during this time he was very happy and thoroughly spoilt! I cannot thank everyone enough for their care and attention in his final days, and the dignity and respect shown both to him and us as a family.

My mother is still at The Willows, and I feel very confident she is in the best place possible. The activity girls make every day as fun as possible, and all the staff are truly amazing. I have no hesitation at all in highly recommending this care home where everyone really does care! Thank you all so much!

Wonderful caring staff that are constantly keeping activities going and staying in touch with relatives during the Covid19 outbreak. Both of my parents are/ were at The Willows and they take every step to make sure they are well taken care of. I have been able to video call and video chat to stay in touch and love the personal touches that the caring staff members take care of. Nothing is too much for them. They are wonderful at keeping up with social media and sharing images and videos so that we can see the daily goings-on. Can not recommend highly enough. Thank you all.

Our parents moved into the Willows after their previous care home closed. We just wish they had moved before! The care they have received has been outstanding. All staff are very friendly and always answer any questions by phone or when we visit.
The staff really go out of their way to make the residents feel loved and cared for and provide a great deal of activities. Even delivering doughnuts recently, was done in such a special way which must have made the folk receiving them very happy.
Thanks so much for all you do to look after our loved ones who can no longer be in their own homes or care for themselves.

Keep up the fantastic work you do.

My mother spent six months in The Willows Care Home (Shepshed) Ltd in which time I have been very impressed with the care given. Communication between myself and the staff was also very good keeping me updated with everything I requested to know during my mother's stay.

The accommodation was lovely, always clean and pleasant when I entered both the main area and my mother's bedroom.

My wife stayed for a few days when requiring respite for myself. She has dementia and really enjoyed being at The Willows. For those days, she was kept active with activities at the home and always came home happy and was always keen to return. The manager and staff/carers were very helpful, caring and thoughtful. Food and facilities were very good. I have only praise 10/10.

I would recommend this care home as they always treated my mum with care and compassion. During the last days of Mum's life, the carers were outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble.
Myself and my sister in law stayed with Mum for the last 48 hours of Mum's life and saw first hand how much Mum was loved and cared for.

It gave us a lot of comfort.

I would be extremely wary of this establishment. The Management and Administration departments are inept and woefully lacking. If you are lucky enough to even get a contract, beware of hidden costs such as charging for 3 days after leaving for cleaning your room! With peeling paint and chipped furniture this Home is badly in need of redecoration and refurbishment.
One very important point is for a potential resident to ask to see the fees written down so that you know what you are paying for. This is one of the most expensive homes in the UK and it becomes very apparent that for them, it is all about the money. I made frequent requests for the fees to be made known to me and all went unanswered.
I'm afraid to say that I had so many problems with my Father being here that I was forced to move him, which was a shame because the actual Carers were friendly, cheerful people who were good at their jobs and tried to help.

Failing in many areas I would strongly advise against this home.
