We were particularly touched by the sensitivity of all involved when we sat by her bedside in her last moments. They turned a trying time in our lives into one of elevation that can be found at such unique moments. Their patience and continued compassion and empathy at all times was an elevating experience which we will always remember. We can never thank them enough and only hope they will be as lucky as we were in their time of grief.
Hello, and thank you for your feedback; it was a pleasure looking after her. I will ensure I pass this feedback on to the team.
My grandfather had a lovely, bright corner room, which was nice and quiet for him. The home is very clean; it does not have a 'care home' smell. The meals all looked very healthy and balanced. I really enjoyed visiting my grandfather and getting to know the staff and other residents. It does have a 'home from home' feel about it. The activities always looked like lots of fun; however, my grandfather wasn't one to participate.
Thank you to each and every one of you - although it has very sad memories, the laughter, warmth, strength and friendliness of the team kept our family all going.
Hello, and thank you for such a lovely review. I will ensure the feedback is passed on to the whole team. It was a pleasure to look after and support your grandfather.
The residents also seemed very settled, and the few that we conversed with also said that they enjoyed living there.
All in all, we would recommend St Andrews to anyone who needed the services they offered.
Thank you for your feedback. I will ensure that your feedback is passed to the team. It was a pleasure to help care for your dad.
I would just like to thank all the staff at St Andrew's for the dedicated care they have given to my husband. He is now at home with me, thanks to their caring and professionalism. Hoping I can keep him in his own home for the foreseeable future, but I would have no hesitation in taking him back to St Andrew's if and when his health deteriorates.
Hello, thank you for your response. I will ensure to pass on your feedback to the team. Really pleased we were able to help.
My husband is so well cared for at St Andrew's; it gives me peace of mind. On his 90th birthday last year, they made a real fuss of him and made him a big birthday cake with candles on it. He is in bed now, so they brought it to his room singing Happy Birthday, and even with advanced Dementia, you could tell he was pleased, and he blew the candles out. The staff, without exception, are wonderful.
Hello, and thank you for your response; we really do try our best to meet the needs of our residents, and I am glad that we are meeting your expectations. I will pass your feedback on to the team.
St Andrew's is a lovely, homely place, set in well-kept grounds, nicely furnished and very clean. I consider myself fortunate to have the peace of mind that comes from knowing that my husband is being well cared for
Thanks for the lovely feedback; we will make sure your kind words are shared with the team.
Her necessary needs are met by professional staff, whilst her personal care and any independent requests are respected.
I take comfort in knowing that my aunt is safe, secure and cared for, as I am not local to the care home.
Thanks for the lovely feedback; we will make sure your kind words are shared with the team.
This is a good home, and they cope well with many challenges. The nursing team and the management work well and hard. They get to know the families, and this ensures that the care provided meets the needs of the resident but also alleviates worries and bespoke the best for everyone. Recent upgrades and improvements to the rooms and fabric of the building show how the care is continued even in the hardest of times, and everything is done to maximise the health, safety and comfort of residents, staff and visitors.
Thanks for the lovely feedback; we will make sure your kind words are shared with the team.
I live overseas but have visited Mum twice since she became a resident.
I ring during the night and always get to speak to a nurse about how Mum is. When I myself get old and have Dementia, I want St Andrew’s to care for me.
Thanks for the lovely feedback; we will make sure your kind words are shared with the team.
He has settled down and seems content in his surroundings (he has been diagnosed with mid-dementia); the staff are quite aware of this and are able to deal with all that this entails, and I am happy to leave him in their care because of our situation.
Hello, and thank you for your response, we really do try our best to meet the needs of our residents, and I am glad that we are meeting your expectations.
All involved in the care of my mother through a very trying time for our family did it with empathy and understanding. Knowing the matter was dealt with in a positive light made it much easier for all.
Thank you for submitting a review on St.Andrews. I will pass on your feedback to our team members.
My mother was a resident for the last 18 months of her life, and I can honestly say that St Andrew's is a wonderful, caring and loving place. All the staff were extremely loving and caring. I was upset not to be able to visit Mum during Covid but felt comfortable knowing she was in a safe place.
Thank you for submitting a review on St Andrew's. I will pass on your feedback to our team members.
My mum was originally sent to St Andrew's for respite after being in hospital. She is too poorly to ever go home again. I was worried about her going into care but this place is a little gem. The staff are wonderful and really kind. My mum is so well looked after. Our family couldn't have wished for anywhere better.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback and for your kind words. I will pass this on to the rest of the team to make sure they are aware of the comments you have made.
Nobody wants to place their mother in a home, and it broke my heart to have to due to the care she needs and deserves.
St Andrews has been from day one, like an extended family for Mum.
Having looked at several other homes in the area, this shone through and Mum has been a resident for over a year.
They treat her with the same respect and care as if she was their own relative, which has been a huge comfort when physical visits were paused for covid.
They arranged distanced visits when allowed and built a pod so safe visits could resume asap.
They have a great team with constant and varied activities.
They have definitely treated and continue to treat Mum with utmost respect and dignity always updating us, and we can contact Mum via phone anytime. Visits are scheduled due to covid, so all families get a chance, but are as regular as I want.
Perfect team.
Thanks again.
All staff are very friendly and caring. I can ring and speak to Mum at any time or just ask how she is and leave a message. They have built a pod inside for us to make visits on an appointment basis during these trying times.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review, and for your kind comments about the team. I will make sure to pass these on. Thanks again.
My stepfather has been very well looked after at St Andrew's. The care staff are excellent, and he has always been looked after efficiently but with compassion.
The staff are all very friendly and approachable. Residents always look well cared for and happy. I would recommend St Andrew's to anyone looking for an excellent care home.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, it is really is appreciated. I will make sure to pass on your feedback to the rest of the team. Thanks again.
My mum has been in St Andrew's nursing home for several years and is very happy and settled. She is very well looked after, and as a family, we are extremely pleased with the wonderful care she receives. We have no worries or concerns, which is much better than previous homes. Mum is really happy here. The staff are brilliant with her and have worked amazingly hard through Covid restrictions.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review, and for your lovely comments. It really is appreciated, especially at the moment. I will make sure to share your feedback with the rest of the team. Thanks again.
My husband is a resident at St Andrew's Nursing and Care Home and I can't praise the manager and all the caring staff for looking after my husband enough, I've every faith in them all. I would highly recommend St Andrew's. The staff are always laughing and full of fun which is lovely considering the jobs that they have to do. Thank you, everyone, for your care. I feel very relaxed knowing he's in good care.
Thank you so much for your review and for your really kind comments. I will make sure to pass them onto the whole team as I am sure they will really appreciate it. Thanks again.
From the first step inside St Andrew's you get a 'good feeling'. It is clean and tidy without the awful smell that many care homes have. The staff didn't recognise me so asked who I was visiting and escorted me to my sister-in-law's room. The room was lovely with a fabulous feature fireplace, high ceilings and very nice decor. It was very clean and the large window let in plenty of light. The staff that came into the room on regular occasions were extremely friendly and jolly. I left St Andrew's feeling very satisfied that my beloved sister-in-law was definitely in the best place. I made a crochet rainbow bunting and contacted the home to see if it could be hung in the room and they were more than happy to do so. During the awful time of being unable to visit, it's reassuring to know that the residents are all being looked after so well. The staff are definitely going above and beyond with regular videos and photographs.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review, and for your lovely comments. It really is appreciated, especially at the moment. I will make sure to share your feedback with the rest of the team. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you as soon as we are able to have visitors.
Staff are friendly and caring to residents and relatives and go above and beyond in their duty of care and the consideration they give to the residents. Activities and entertainment provided for the residents are varied and a lot of thought goes into the weekly entertainment programme which is currently being provided by the staff and they are doing an excellent job. There is always someone on the end of a phone to answer your enquiry and reassure you and comfort you when necessary. Residents always appear happy and well cared for. Well done St Andrew's keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review, and for your lovely comments. I will make sure to share them with the rest of the team, who I know will be thrilled. Thanks again.
