My stepfather loves it here - even though he moans a lot bless him, the care he receives couldn't be any better! Staff love his grumpiness!! Food and care absolutely amazing such a good feeling to know he is safe and happy.

Mum was sent out of hospital on palliative care, she has responded so well to the kindness of the all the staff, the care and dedication to mum is brilliant. The nursing home is bright, cheerful, clean and so well decorated and furnished. My mum is safe, really happy and improving in health every day.
So wonderful to see. A massive thank you to everyone at Grosvenor House, it is really appreciated.

I was immediately impressed by the comfortable well designed setting at Grosvenor House and by the number of staff in various roles. Close attention to all residents is constant and notably friendly with a genuinely family feel. All facilities are readily accessible and every assistance is given. I
cannot think of way in which this excellent home could be improved it would be my first choice for myself if I needed full time care.

What an absolutely wonderful care home this is! From the first meeting to assess mum's needs, it was obvious just how much the staff care for their residents. The knowledge that the nursing team had of Parkinson's enabled mum to receive the care specific to her needs. Although mum was nearing the end
of her life, what little time she had left was enhanced greatly by the care she received from all staff at Grosvenor House. As a family, we are truly grateful to everyone here for looking after our mum so well and welcoming us whenever we visited. Everyone here works so hard but they do so with a smile and always found time to update us on mum, or stop for a friendly chat. Thank you all for making our mum's last few weeks peaceful and for doing so with so much care and empathy!

After Mum spent 4 months in another care home all I can say is the difference is amazing . As the previous reviewer stated I wished she had gone to them earlier. I know mum is not going to be as independant as she was before but she did more in 3 weeks than she did in the 4 months in the other home.
The events that are designed to make residents take part accutlly happen and the staff encourage every one to take part, evevn if they are in bed they get them there. Thank you for making my mum not only happy but feeling cared for.

Since my mum joined Grosvenor House in April 2022 my mum has done nothing but improve. My only regret is not getting my mum to Grosvenor House sooner. I couldn't give it a higher recommendation.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at Grosvenor for all the care and support they give to mum, the home is beautifully decorated and really feels like a home from home, nothing is too much trouble to ensure mum is made to feel safe and comfortable but she is still able to retain a
feeling of independence. Mum has been able to bring in some of her own furniture and ornaments so her room feels like 'hers'. The food is excellent and hot drinks and smiles always available.

Mum joined the Grosvenor House family in October 2024 and since she moved in she has loved the company, the environment and especially the love and care she has been shown by the amazing team. Grosvenor House has delivered great care to my mother across all areas. As her daughter, I can see how well my mother has settled and has become comfortable in her new home. As a visitor, I have become more and more at ease coming to and leaving Grosvenor House. All the staff are welcoming and friendly,
without exception. I feel my mother could not be in a better place. She would not have the interaction, stimulation or be safe if she were in her own house.

A lot of you may know me (or my voice) from our much-loved video calls, but haven’t met me in person yet!


My role at Grosvenor House is well-being, Engagement and Communication. This means that my focus is to help bridge the gap between us and you with the use of our video calls and social media pages and to work closely with our residents and our team to create impactful opportunities to promote their well-being.


I am looking forward to meeting you all properly when the opportunity arises and getting to know you all!

I am in the offices at Grosvenor House and it is normally me you will be talking to when you call our home!

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2022

Mike has been a valued member of the Grosvenor House Care Home team since 2022. With a deep passion for creating nutritious, home-cooked meals.


He brings both heart and expertise to every dish he prepares.


Mike is dedicated to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, working closely with trusted butchers and fishmongers to ensure the highest quality in the meals he prepares.


His menus are a delightful balance of comforting traditional favourites and exciting new flavours, thoughtfully tailored to suit the tastes and dietary needs of everyone we support.


Mike also enjoys designing seasonal menus that celebrate the best of each time of year, and he brings a touch of creativity and flair to every plate. One of the highlights for many families is his popular fine dining evenings, where residents and their loved ones can enjoy a special restaurant-style experience within the home.


With extensive culinary experience, advanced cooking qualifications, and a genuine love for what he does, Mike plays a key role in making daily life at Grosvenor House both nourishing and enjoyable.

Jamie Denman

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2021

Jamie has been part of the Grosvenor House Care Home team since 2021 and brings a lifetime of experience in the health and social care sector. As our Clinical Lead, she plays a vital role in ensuring that every person receives the highest standard of care, delivered with compassion, dignity, and respect.


With a career dedicated to helping others, Jamie is deeply passionate about making a difference—she finds joy in bringing smiles to people’s faces and creating meaningful connections with residents and their families. Her calm, caring presence and clinical expertise make her a trusted leader and a much-loved member of our team.


Outside of work, Jamie embraces the spirit of adventure. She loves travelling around Europe in her campervan, exploring new places, kayaking on peaceful waters, and, most proudly, spending time as a devoted grandma.


Jamie’s commitment to both her professional role and personal passions brings a wonderful balance to our home, and we’re lucky to have her guiding our care with such warmth and dedication.

Hi! I have been part of the Grosvenor House Family since 2018. And it has become just that, my extended family. To me, care is not a job for just a wage, it is a career that you have to feel in your heart and you do it for the love and passion you feel for looking after someone.


Seeing our residents smile, laugh and have fun fills me with the best feeling and I know that I have done my job. Even if that means dressing up as a unicorn or the Easter Bunny!
