My mother has been in Grosvenor House Care Home now for over eight months and she is very happy and ultimately safe and secure which is a huge comfort for me and my family. The food is amazing, activities are plentiful and leading up to Christmas, quite wonderful with all the different visitors from
singers through to reindeer! The staff are always cheerful and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to you all.

My father has been here for seven weeks and is really happy. The staff are amazing and really care about my father. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, they have wheeled my father to the local pub to meet me there (I'm unable to push a wheelchair) and they have bought him cough sweets and beer
at his request. All the staff joined a secret Santa so every resident got a present. The home is beautifully decorated and is very much a home, not an institution. Staff keep me informed of how my father is doing and what activities he's joined in (I'm not yet aware of all activities that take place - hence the good). All care homes should be like this.

Grosvenor House provides a friendly, stimulating, safe and caring environment for the residents. There is a lively atmosphere created by the bright and varied decor and the energy of the staff. The garden space is wonderful. The chickens and goats provide amusement for residents and visitors.

Mum loves her room with a door out into the garden. She needs a fair bit of care and the staff are so patient and kind to her. She has her own furniture and pictures on the wall. Any medical treatment she needs is arranged fast and dutifully carried out. I am most pleased with the care she is receiving

The care my grandad received at Grosvenor House Care Home has been outstanding. He was a resident for 14 months, he was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. His care needs were always put first and the activities that were provided for the residents were engaging and fun.
Grosvenor House provided
end-of-life care to grandad which was exceptional. They cared for him holistically and supported all family members during this difficult time. The family were able to visit and spend time with him and the staff supported us. The staff were professional and very kind. We will miss everyone at the home. I cannot praise Grosvenor House enough they have been exemplary.

The care given at the home is excellent. The staff are all very kind and considerate. They do their best to meet each individual's needs. Sometimes messages do not always get passed on, especially when they are busy, but that is my only criticism. The care overall is very good.

My youngest brother is a resident at Grosvenor House Care Home. He needs a considerable amount of care due to liver disease. Unfortunately, his condition is not curable. He had been living with my elderly mother but his deteriorating condition meant that she couldn’t cope. This was causing untold stress
within the family.
We managed to secure a place at Grosvenor and without doubt, this was the best thing that we could have done for him.
Grosvenor is warm, nicely decorated and furnished and has every facility my brother needs.
He is a relatively young man at 50 but the way in which the wonderful staff have helped him settle in and integrate with fellow residents is humbling. The nursing care he receives is exceptional, delivered by skilled and professional staff who meet his every need.
We are particularly impressed with Covid measures which strike the right balance keeping everybody safe and keeping in touch.
The improvements to my brother's life is immeasurable.

This means that my focus is to help bridge the gap between us and you with the use of our video calls and social media pages and to work closely with our residents and our team to create impactful opportunities to promote their well-being.

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2022

Mike has been a valued member of the Grosvenor House Care Home team since 2022. With a deep passion for creating nutritious, home-cooked meals.


He brings both heart and expertise to every dish he prepares.


Mike is dedicated to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, working closely with trusted butchers and fishmongers to ensure the highest quality in the meals he prepares.


His menus are a delightful balance of comforting traditional favourites and exciting new flavours, thoughtfully tailored to suit the tastes and dietary needs of everyone we support.


Mike also enjoys designing seasonal menus that celebrate the best of each time of year, and he brings a touch of creativity and flair to every plate. One of the highlights for many families is his popular fine dining evenings, where residents and their loved ones can enjoy a special restaurant-style experience within the home.


With extensive culinary experience, advanced cooking qualifications, and a genuine love for what he does, Mike plays a key role in making daily life at Grosvenor House both nourishing and enjoyable.

Jamie Denman

Job Title: Clinical Lead Joined: 2021

Jamie has been part of the Grosvenor House Care Home team since 2021 and brings a lifetime of experience in the health and social care sector. As our Clinical Lead, she plays a vital role in ensuring that every person receives the highest standard of care, delivered with compassion, dignity, and respect.


With a career dedicated to helping others, Jamie is deeply passionate about making a difference—she finds joy in bringing smiles to people’s faces and creating meaningful connections with residents and their families. Her calm, caring presence and clinical expertise make her a trusted leader and a much-loved member of our team.


Outside of work, Jamie embraces the spirit of adventure. She loves travelling around Europe in her campervan, exploring new places, kayaking on peaceful waters, and, most proudly, spending time as a devoted grandma.


Jamie’s commitment to both her professional role and personal passions brings a wonderful balance to our home, and we’re lucky to have her guiding our care with such warmth and dedication.

Hi! I have been part of the Grosvenor House Family since 2018. And it has become just that, my extended family. To me, care is not a job for just a wage, it is a career that you have to feel in your heart and you do it for the love and passion you feel for looking after someone.


Seeing our residents smile, laugh and have fun fills me with the best feeling and I know that I have done my job. Even if that means dressing up as a unicorn or the Easter Bunny!
