Wonderful staff. Can’t thank them enough especially the manager who has gone above and beyond. Always a friendly voice on the end of the phone and lots of support and reassurance for the family also.

Great standard of care and a family atmosphere.

My nanna came to this home after being in hospital. She was well treated and made to feel comfortable. The girls were all very friendly with her especially the young activities coordinator who went above and beyond to make my nanna feel at ease. The lovely lady did all she could to make sure all her needs was met to a professional standard and I will be forever grateful. All staff made sure that myself and my family was involved in my nanna's care keeping us up to date with how she was doing. Also, I would like to add after following the Facebook page I can clearly see the activities team brings such joy and excitement to the residents, there is always a different activity being held, residents all get involved with this which is such a pleasure to see. What a lovely idea to share with everyone. It's noted how happy the residents are and enjoy it at the care home. I would recommend this care home and would like to personally thank Madeira House for making my nanna feel well looked after.

Maderia House is a wonderful care home, all the staff have been lovely, and shown care and compassion.
Dad has settled in well and I feel happy knowing he is there, being looked after so well.

The facilities at the home are great, with lots of daily activities for him to get involved with as well. Thank you to all staff at Maderia house.

My grandfather came to this home after losing his beloved wife, the staff at the home made him feel very comfortable and catered to all his needs in a professional high standard.
The home is very homely and each person is treated as an individual and all care is person-centred. They are like one big family at the home.
All the staff at the home are amazing and do their utmost to ensure the residents are well cared for and are safe.
The staff ensure that all friends and family are involved in their relatives care and encourage their involvement.
The activities team at the home are outstanding and there is always something going on every day.
Although the manger is new, she has become one of the family and is doing an outstanding job and has made many positive changes that benefit the residents daily.

I can not fault the care that is given to my grandad and I am most grateful to each and every one of the staff within the home as he is very settled and enjoys living at Madeira House.

I checked on my service user daily as he was for 10 days in the home. I was very happy, as after 2 days I saw that he was taken good care of. Sure home care is always better as if he can be even more personalised but Madeira House showed me, if he ever had to go into a home he would have a decent time and be well looked after. Madeira House looked friendly, colourful and cosy, clean and it smelled nice. I can't comment on value for money or food as I have not been involved in these.

My father was placed in Madeira House upon leaving hospital after a fall. The whole team treated him like family. Their main aim was to get him back on his feet and give him confidence in his walking. The staff are always on hand and are always willing to help. The home manager is second to none. The food is hotel quality and the home is as clean as a hospital theatre. We are very pleased with the overall service and we know we have no worries for his safety. Please don't change.

My mother-in-law came to Madeira House for respite following a fall. She was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff, who were lovely. There were activities to do and residents were encouraged to reach their goals. The food was excellent and the visitors were welcomed and kept informed. Pros - staff really very friendly and they treat residents with respect. The food is good, family curry night is especially great. They also know when to call for an ambulance on both occasions, we are grateful for.

Cons - the whole place has a bad smell and in particular, the room Mum was in (10). The main concern has to be how long it takes for a resident's bell call to be answered, it is majorly concerning.

My mum has spent a long time at Madeira House and I cannot express my gratitude to each and every person who cares for her.
She was cared for with the utmost dignity and the staff could not do enough for her.
It is nice to see a home with the manager visible and interacting with the staff team and residents in her care. The staff always have smiles on their faces, the residents always cared for. The activities team are nothing short of amazing, especially one member of the team. Always activities going on. Laundry always done quickly and mum's room is impeccably clean.
Food is varied and healthy, special diets are offered (Mum is diabetic)

Overall an amazing home. Well done to the manager and all her amazing team. You are all angels in my eyes and I can’t thank you all enough. My mother loves you all dearly.

All the staff such as the carers, activities staff, cleaners and kitchen staff are very helpful and are eager to do all jobs. The good is excellent, so what else do you want. The activities team are very good at coming up with different ideas and are very helpful, they have helped me get over a stroke. The gardens are very good and are well cared for. The activities team have taken me to several amenities in town, such as for fish and chips and coffees in the church.

I am thoroughly impressed with the level of service and the standard of my mum's care. She is so happy at Madeira House Residential Care Home and she feels so much safer knowing that the staff are there for her. Her room is fairly large and has recently been decorated in some lovely purples which Mum loves.

Before my father begun his stay at Madeira House I visited several times. Each time the staff were friendly and welcoming. The home assessment was completed very well done.
The room was small but well furnished. The chef and his staff paid a lot of attention to likes and dislikes of my father. He spent seven weeks in all and I would certainly consider another stay if needed.

The activity staff were excellent always had time to chat and listen to my concerns.

The management team are always very helpful and friendly and ready to give advice. I appreciate there are pressures in general running of homes not made any easier by the shortage of regular staff the existing regular staff, on the whole, are very dedicated and hard working. Very definitely compliments to the resident chef who produces a variety of good wholesome well-prepared meals.
