Tanglewood Nursing Home

The reception, grounds and car park are always well kept. Staff are very pleasant and easy to talk to. My mum always looked well dressed and well cared for when I visited. from the very beginning the staff took responsibility for medication etc and it is such a relief to know that mum would be safe and cared for. Mum's moving in day was very stressful but staff did everything possible to help and reassure. An excellent home.

Both my parents were residents at Tanglewood from June 2021. Over the 5 years that they lived there, they were always clean, comfortable, well-fed and cared for by an incredible team. Our father enjoyed friendly chats with the maintenance & gardening team; Our mother loved getting her hair done each week; There was swift turn around by the laundry team; Chef and the kitchen staff provide tasty, well-presented, home-cooked meals; The Cleaners were always friendly and engaged with the residents; Care staff and the Nursing team are knowledgeable and take a personal interest in the health and well-being of both Mum and Dad. Their attention developed into personal relationships which were both caring and genuine, not only with my parents but with my sister and myself when we visited which was very reassuring. The Management team also took a personal interest in the whole family and kept us abreast of updates. I would highly recommend Tanglewood @ Horncastle.

My mother has lived with Alzheimers at Tanglewood Horncastle for the last 5 years of her life. She has been very well cared for with kindness and compassion and the family were extremely grateful & confident she was in the best possible place. we were kept informed of her well being & looked upon the staff as friends. Her end of life care was dignified and I would highly recommend Tanglewood Horncastle

Tanglewood Nursing home cared for my mother in law before she passed away. We can not thank them enough for the care, kindness and compassion they all gave to her and the family.

Visiting Tanglewood three days a week to visit my wife I am generally impressed with the efficiency of the staff in dealing with her dementia. They always seem smiling and happy, irrespectively of my wife's attitudes. All the meals I have had at Tanglewood have been more then adequate. The entertainment staff treat the residents well and have various activities to save people from being bored. All in all I do not think my wife could be looked after any better and the only problem, not to do with Tanglewood is a 56 mile round journey from my home to visit her.

The care , friendship and love that my mum has received by every member of the Tanglewood team has been wonderful. My mum has been so well looked after , I am so grateful to everyone there. The help from Alice, the manager has been without doubt 100%. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, and my mums dementia difficulties have always been addressed with kindness and consideration . As visitors we have always been welcomed warmly, and mums condition always discussed with us. Tanglewood is always lovely and clean , great food and a friendly atmosphere

Walked into a very positive happy atmosphere from all staff and residents. Visiting my family who is totally bedridden. Very busy staff - always popping in to see that residents are ok. Activities taylored to clients needs. Communication at all times - very positive. Constant chatter with staff and residents. Needs met on every angle. Would recommend.

I could not wish for a better place than having my mum in your nursing home, staff and attention to detail will always be 5 star. I believe my mum was well looked after spending the short time she spent in your nursing home. We wish all the best for this branch. Kind regards Kevin.

My FIL has been welcomed by every member of the Tanglewood team, from Top to bottom.

However the Team have strived to resolve & overcome these issues with a positive mindset.

The food is lovely, there is an abundance of snacks & refreshments available throughout the day,

The kitchen staff are fantastic and have accommodated My FIL's Level 4 dietary needs, I am confident this will continue.

I.e incontinance sheets and disposable sputum bowls should be made more readily available and accessible, as well as disposable gloves & more hand sanitizer's, especially at high traffic areas such as internal doors areas.

My mum has been at Tanglewood Horncastle for nearly 3 years and we're so grateful for the care she receives. Like many families, juggling work and other commitments often brings guilt about not visiting more, but this weekend we were able to celebrate her birthday early with all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and it meant the world. We sang old songs in the beautiful gardens and Mum was glowing with joy. Staff brought out drinks and even said they enjoyed the music while working! Special thanks to the Lifestyle Lead, whose updates on social media of Mum smiling and joining in reassures us she's happy and well. Tanglewood isn't just a care home, it's a place filled with kindness, laughter, and love. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The staff and reception are very accommodating when I was in a difficult situation. The care and consideration have helped to have my wife back at home. This was by encouraging her to get back on her feet after recovering from a chest infection that debilitated her.

My mum arrived on her first day in the home apprehensive and frightened. The staff were all amazing, we were met by the manager and deputy, who showed us to mum's room - we were introduced to the nurses, carers, cleaners and activities coordinator. They all came to the room to meet Mum and put her at ease. A special mention to the maintenance man, who put Mum's pictures up he was kind and considerate, and Mum said he was lovely.

The best thing, by far, about Tanglewood are the staff. They have been fantastic in caring for my mum.

I have visited many care homes over the years, and Tanglewood Care Home in Horncastle is (in my view) a cut above the rest. Great staff, great layout, great care, great food, great atmosphere...a first-class home. My partner stayed there two years ago, my brother stayed there last year, and (if I ever need to go into a care home) I would hope to stay there too. I can't recommend it highly enough. A big thank you to all the staff.

The staff were helpful, polite, friendly and extremely efficient. The care home was spotless and comfortable.

I have been visiting Tanglewood for over 9 years, it is one of the older homes without all the glitz, cinemas, etc - which I can honestly say from experience it is not always necessary, it's the care and commitment of the staff that appealed to me. I would recommend on care, sensitivity and support and friendliness shown to residents and family. All staff across the board from maintenance to housekeeping to canteen and staff not mentioned. The social connection that residents have with each other shines through at activities and meal times. The food is very good - sponge amazing. Keep up the good work. A little update on the home - carpets etc is required.

Nothing was too much trouble, including the erection of an outdoor gazebo with seating and tables, the provision of bottled fresh water, tea and coffee facilities, and helping with the clear-up afterwards each day. All of the staff provide great care, support, and are polite and friendly. We have nothing but praise for the teams involved.
