My husband is well looked after. The staff are excellent. There used to be a smell of urine (very strong) but I have noticed there has been no smell these last few weeks. Food is excellent but needs to drink more as he is prone to urine infections. It would be nice if they could play music in the rooms
as this seems to calm him down. Not only has he dementia, but has a lot of other things wrong with his health so the staff really look after him and keep me informed by phone when he is poorly.

My mother-in-law has been at Tanglewood in Horncastle for five years and she has been consistently cared for with love, efficiency and cheerfulness. The activities and visiting entertainers are interesting and varied. There is a homely atmosphere and residents are treated with respect and according
to their individual needs. The seasonal and incidental celebrations are fun and enjoyed by residents and their families.

Early days but so far I feel happy with the care that my friend is receiving. This is a very expensive home and the care is probably no better than somewhere cheaper. The environment is very comfortable, plush decor and high standards in how things are presented (dining table, etc). This group of homes
have a corporate image that resembles a five star hotel but I'm more concerned about the nursing care. No reason for complaint so far, staff seem respectful and helpful. Occasionally I've had to ask that my friend gets her hair washed and the laundry can be an issue with clothes going missing.

My very elderly and frail grandmother moved to Tanglewood recently. The care and kindness the staff have shown to Grandma is so touching and they consider her dignity at all times. I always leave the home knowing Grandma is going to be cared for properly, considering her needs at all times. The manager
is professional and efficient and has such empathy with families, she clearly understands how difficult it is for us to place our most wonderful grandmother into her care.

An excellent home considering the large number of residents. I have been visiting my husband regularly for over three years and have had no cause to find fault or complain. The food is good with always a choice of menu. I always have lunch there so I do know. The activities are varied as is the entertainment.
One thing missing is any transport as no local bus company can accommodate wheel chairs in numbers. Every spring, summer and Christmas a longer fun day is held open to anybody and this is a great event and fund raiser. There is something for everybody Punch and Judy, face, painting, singing, hog roast and many side stalls a good time for all.

I am excited to be starting my journey with Tanglewood to continue to progress and develop in a career that I love.
Personal experiences led me to switch from retail management to pursuing a career in care. I started my journey as a support worker in 2016. My main goal was to repay the care and kindness of the people involved in my own families care and rehabilitation. I have a wealth of knowledge from working in various different settings, in varied roles with different client groups. I have been lucky to have worked with fabulous managers who have helped me develop, grow and achieve my ambitions so far.
I am committed and passionate about providing a safe, welcoming and happy home for the people that live, visit and work at the service. Prioritizing the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents and staff.
I have self-funded my own learning and have completed The Certificate of Higher Education in Adult Health and Social Care and gained a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. I am keen to work towards level 6 and 7 qualifications in the future.
My proudest achievement has been being nominated for the Care Home Registered Manager Award for the Lincolnshire Care Awards two years running by the staff and residents at my previous service. I won the award in March 2024 and remain dedicated and proud of the work I do to make a real difference to people’s lives.
In my personal life I love animals and enjoy reading, learning, theatre, spending time with my family and walking. I am a proud Mum, Daughter and Wife. My family are very supportive, which enables me to have a calm and positive approach and dedicate myself to the work I do to enhance people’s lives.
