Can't recommend Tanglewood highly enough.
We are deeply moved by your heartfelt words about your father's experience at Tanglewood Nursing Home in Horncastle. Our sincere condolences on the loss of your father, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have played a part in his care during his final days. It is heartening to hear that...
My father was only a resident for a short period of time before he sadly passed. However, the standard of was very high, from the cleanliness to the compassion given by their staff members and all staff members. I was so relieved we managed to move my father to Tanglewood for his last few weeks of life. They went above and beyond, the care home has a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in, home from home.
We are deeply touched by your kind words about the standard of care at Tanglewood. It means a great deal to us that you found...
There is a plan of the week's activities in all the resident's rooms so they know what is happening each day.
The residents are always clean and well cared for.

A warm and friendly environment. My aunt is very happy and safe at Tanglewood Nursing Home. Some of the staff are particularly loving and caring towards my aunt. The building environment is modern and clean where staff seem to take pride. Good management is apparent. They do listen.
Thank you for your review, our Home Manager prides herself on open and transparent communication, we are so pleased you have had a positive experience both within our home and with our management. We look forward to sharing your review with the team.
I am so happy we made the decision to place Grandad in Tanglewood Nursing Home. It was a very difficult decision but I'm pleased we chose Tanglewood. He is well cared for. He is well-fed and always has plenty of food. The activities keep him well entertained and his brain active. It is great to see pictures on social media. They keep him clean and respectable. The staff are always friendly, and welcoming and have made us feel part of the Tanglewood family.
My auntie was very well taken care of at Tanglewood, despite her only being there for a short time. Upon her passing, my auntie was shown the utmost respect when being laid to rest. She looked very dignified and well attended to. Beautiful! Thank you so much.
My father spent his last few months at Tanglewood Care Home Horncastle, where he received the nursing care he required. Having had some negative experiences in previous care homes, we had our reservations about placing him in another home. However, I cannot praise or thank the whole team enough. I could not have asked for a better home for my father. The team that looked after my father was exceptional. I honestly cannot thank them enough for their hard work and all that they did for him. They helped make him comfortable and treated him with the utmost care and compassion. As a family we were made to feel welcome and any questions/queries we had were answered. We always felt we were informed and a part of his care. All staff we met were approachable, friendly and smiley. The home itself is clean and tidy, and the gardens/grounds are beautiful. I would recommend this care home to anyone and speak very highly of all the staff that work here.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are very proud of the exceptional care Tanglewood provide to its residents. We appreciate your feedback and know our team will be delighted to have received this review. We look forward to sharing it with them.
I cannot rate this home highly enough. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and they all do an excellent job of caring for everyone. My husband was very ill when he arrived here and was bed-bound, non-verbal and could do nothing for himself. The staff at Tanglewood Nursing Home treated him with dignity, respect and compassion. They were kind and considerate to all the family and made us feel welcome at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. The manager is kind and approachable, leading a great team. Tanglewood felt like a 'home' in the true sense of the word. Even the gardens are kept to a beautiful standard. It's a difficult decision to make when one's loved one needs care, but I'm so pleased my husband was able to spend his last few months in Tanglewood.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful review. Your feedback means so much to us. We cant wait to share your review with the team.
I am happy with the care given to my husband and help from the staff but feel the staff are overworked and need more of them. The food is good.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we take all feedback into consideration and our home manager's door is always open to discuss this matter further.
My father was a resident at Tanglewood Nursing Home for two years. During that time, his health changed from living independently with support to requiring palliative care. Throughout his stay, the staff at Tanglewood were unfailingly compassionate, respectful and thorough and they managed his changing care needs skillfully and kindly, enabling him to maintain his dignity and safety. I am enormously grateful to this caring and compassionate team. Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for your kind review. Your feedback on your experience at Tanglewood Care Home is greatly appreciated. We look forward to sharing this with the team.
My parents are both residents and I know they are looked after physically, emotionally and mentally and we are very happy. The staff are professional, helpful and friendly and often go above and beyond! Would highly recommend.
Thank you for your review, our residents' safety and well-being are at the heart of all we do at Tanglewood. Our team members work incredibly hard and we look forward to sharing your wonderful feedback with them.
Tanglewood Nursing Home is a lovely home, it's modern, purpose-built and has a lot of personal touches that make it feel more homely; especially in the dementia area with shops, countryside etc scenes on the walls. The personal care is excellent and Dad is always treated with dignity. I am satisfied with the manner in which Dad is treated as an individual, with the staff interacting with his unique character to keep him happy and contented. The only area where I believe there is room for improvement is the communication between staff members. On a few occasions, I have requested a change to improve Dad's care which has been agreed, but the message never seems to be relayed to all staff, meaning only some are putting the change into action, even weeks after the request.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a wonderful review, we take all feedback into account. Please be aware our home manager's door is always open and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your feedback with you. We look forward to passing this on to the team.
The meeting was a very interesting afternoon and informative.
Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed our relatives' meeting, your feedback is incredibly important to us. We look forward to welcoming you along to the next one.
Excellent - caters for my father-in-law and mother-in-law very well.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we really appreciate all feedback and look forward to passing this on to the team.
My dad has been at Tanglewood Nursing Home for one year. Initially to rehab post-stroke, unfortunately, with further strokes and dementia, his condition has worsened. His needs are complex and vary from day to day. The staff are superb, very caring and work together as a team. Good home-cooked hot food at lunch, soup and sandwiches for tea. They alter food choices on the day if a resident changes their mind. The manager is excellent, listens and cares and responds efficiently and thoroughly to any concerns or requests.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. Our team work incredibly hard to ensure our residents happiness, safety and well-being are at the heart of all we do. We are so pleased your loved one is enjoying the range of foods on our menu. We look forward to sharing your review with the team.
Mum is always happy and smiling. The staff are all so kind and supportive, ensuring Mum is safe and well cared for at all times. Mum has dementia and needs assistance with everything. The manager is so approachable and makes you feel very welcome in the home. I would recommend Tanglewood to anyone looking for a lovely home for their loved ones.
Thank you for your lovely review of Tanglewood Nursing Home. We are delighted you are so happy with the care at the home - the team are kind and caring and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
Very good. Friendly staff, very helpful. Lovely home for my parents to be in.
Thank you for your review of Tanglewood Nursing Home - we appreciate you sharing your thoughts. It is a lovely home and we are delighted your parents are so happy and settled at Tanglewood.
From the beginning, my 90-year-old Mum was made to feel welcome at Tanglewood Nursing Home when she admitted for assessment and respite care following a fractured hip operation and worsening dementia. As her daughter, I was consulted and guided in all aspects of her care by the cheerful and caring team. Despite Covid restrictions, window visits and following quarantine, the all-important face to 'mask' reunions were readily accommodated. Thanks to the staff and the very stylish surroundings, Mum feels totally at home. The grounds are lovely and everywhere is spotless, neat and well organised. Thanks also to the dedicated activities team, Mum has responded well to the stimulation and her dementia has 'improved'. The nursing team are proactive in alerting me to any potential health problems (slips, trips and falls and fluid monitoring) and all in all, it's a huge relief to know that Mum is being looked after so well. Tanglewood Nursing Home is highly recommended.

Personal experiences led me to switch from retail management to pursuing a career in care. I started my journey as a support worker in 2016. My main goal was to repay the care and kindness of the people involved in my own families care and rehabilitation. I have a wealth of knowledge from working in various different settings, in varied roles with different client groups. I have been lucky to have worked with fabulous managers who have helped me develop, grow and achieve my ambitions so far.
I am committed and passionate about providing a safe, welcoming and happy home for the people that live, visit and work at the service. Prioritizing the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents and staff.
I have self-funded my own learning and have completed The Certificate of Higher Education in Adult Health and Social Care and gained a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Adult Care. I am keen to work towards level 6 and 7 qualifications in the future.
My proudest achievement has been being nominated for the Care Home Registered Manager Award for the Lincolnshire Care Awards two years running by the staff and residents at my previous service. I won the award in March 2024 and remain dedicated and proud of the work I do to make a real difference to people’s lives.
In my personal life I love animals and enjoy reading, learning, theatre, spending time with my family and walking. I am a proud Mum, Daughter and Wife. My family are very supportive, which enables me to have a calm and positive approach and dedicate myself to the work I do to enhance people’s lives.
