The home is set within large, well-kept lawned gardens, with a slabbed outdoor courtyard at its heart that serves as a peaceful and much-loved gathering space for residents and visiting families alike - a place to sit together, take in the surroundings and simply enjoy each other's company.
The team at White Gables specialises in nursing care, dementia across all stages, and palliative and end of life care, supporting predominantly older adults over the age of 50. The standard of care here is delivered with real dedication and compassion, in a setting that makes it easier to provide.

White Gables accepts residents who are privately funded, funded by the local authority, or funded through the Integrated Care Board (ICB) where nursing or healthcare funding is approved.
For residents funded through the local authority, a third-party top-up will be required, depending on individual circumstances. This can be discussed in more detail during the enquiry and assessment process.
Private fees typically range from £1,300 to £1,400 per week, depending on the bedroom selected and the level of care and support required and resident complexities. Fees are determined following a pre-admission assessment, which helps establish each resident’s individual care needs and any associated complexities.
Please note that hairdressing, chiropody services and personal toiletries are not included within the weekly fee and may incur additional separate charges, which can be paid when and if required via personal allowances.

My lovely grandad passed away at White Gables on January 31st. He had been a resident for about 6 weeks (sorry if I get the timing wrong). I had travelled from London to be with him at the end. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the incredible care he was given. The carers and nurses truly not only cared about him but also me, and treated him with the utmost respect and dignity. They looked after me when I was struggling with what was happening and they always talked to him and about him with such compassion. The staff at this home are second-to-none and anyone would be lucky to be a resident here or relative of a resident. Thank you to the carers and every other member of staff that cared for Grandad and me over the last four days. The unbearable was made easier because of the love you showed us. I cannot explain how relieved I am that my husband is so well cared for. The covid virus has caused so many problems for all the staff to cope with. I do miss him but knowing he is well cared for is a comfort for me.

My mother and father were both in this home. My father died of Coronavirus in April. The care is very good, but I find the communication a bit lacking. I have Lasting Power of Attorney for my mother for finance and her welfare but wasn't told that she had 2-tests for Coronavirus by the staff....

Additionally, she has lost many items of clothing, and the quality of food has declined in the last couple of months. The Home Manager is available daily by email or phone to discuss any concerns you might have. Our housekeeping team have informed us there are two residents with the same initials, and an offer of laundry ID buttons was made to try to resolve this issue. We aim to provide enjoyable, nutritious meals for all our residents, and I am pleased to say their feedback has been positive. Please be assured resident weights are monitored either weekly or monthly as needed.

Even one of the girls nipped out in her lunch break to fetch him his favourite drink from the local shop. So 5 stars to all the staff.

This is a very well care home. The care and dignity shown and compassion has been fantastic. Interaction is good and the staff can't do enough. The patients benefit from seeing pets that are allowed in too. Can't recommend enough.
