The staff were friendly and helpful and attentive.
The food was very disappointing. It was, to put it frankly, tasteless. It was also served in large quantities much of which were uneaten. What was wanted was more quality, less quantity.

The home was clean but unfortunately, my father was not happy with his treatment at this establishment. He visited it twice, once recovering from an operation, the second time after an abortive return home. He only got on with three of the staff, who were attentive to his needs, the rest went through
the motions but didn’t really engage with him. The language barrier was a problem for him and me. A medical emergency showed up a lack of professionalism in their medical procedures. He has now found another home which is the perfect model of how a care home should be run.

My darling Mummy came here after me caring for her for years. I wanted the best care and love and support, I have found this! I know she is in the safest kindest 'home from home'. All staff are family and the atmosphere is one of the happiest places. I have experienced first-hand every day the most

My mother spent approximately four years at the Barchester Home near Banbury. During that time, Covid raged, and my mother's health went up and down like a yoyo, and other guests came and went.
The only constant was the level of care and attention that she received. The staff were welcoming to all
of us visitors, had endless patience with my mother and were always forthcoming with answers to our questions.
In addition, the gardeners need congratulations as the garden always looked well tended and beautiful.

Our Mum has spent the 6 weeks in an NHS rehab bed at Chacombe. We found the nursing and care staff to be compassionate with their care for our mum and responsive to requests for help from us, which of course was reassuring. The grounds are beautifully maintained for those who are mobile enough to enjoy
them and the reception very welcoming and flexible with any visitors. I would've liked more changes of my mum's incontinence pads but my feeling is that this would be the case in any care setting and overall I was very happy with my mum's care.

Lovely place. The minute you walk in the door, everyone is so friendly and helpful. A nice relaxed atmosphere wherever you are in the building. Beautiful grounds to have a walk-in or a cup of tea. All-round, I have found Chacombe Park superb.

My father was a resident at Chacombe for 8 years. He elected to go there and passed recently at the age of 102. He was happy throughout his residence at Chacombe. He loved the staff and they reciprocated that love. Dad was lucky to retain his faculties throughout his time there. The service and attention
he received from the staff was exemplary. I would recommend Chacombe to families considering residential accommodation for a loved one. The only health hazard I can think of is overeating, the food is excellent!

My dad died on 14th September having had a fall three weeks earlier. He was bedridden having had 8 and a half years of active life at Chacombe. He was devastated that this had happened to him but continually said how lucky he was to be at Chacombe. His care was faultless by the staff and the compassion
shown to him and me during his last few days was exemplary. It makes me cry just thinking of all the staff looking after him.

My father was a resident at Chacombe for nearly nine years. His care by the staff was exemplary at all times. Always a welcoming atmosphere with friendly employees so it was a joy to visit. The compassion and dedication shown and given to my father was outstanding and quite humbling. Such wonderful
and highly trained staff but the care was given with love and devotion. I could never fault Chacombe in any way. As my father used to say, this is such a beautiful place to spend what life you have left and I am very lucky to be here.

Temporary resident for rehabilitation. Found staff to be proficient and very helpful. Carers well trained and friendly. Food very good, variety of choices. Room light and airy and excellent bathroom facilities to facilitate walking aids. Laundry and housekeeping services very useful.

I found that because I have full capacity I was treated like an idiot. The receptionist told me because I wear my glasses on my head I look stupid, also how most of the residents hate me and because I have full capacity I can clear off....which I did. But had to return because of the worry I caused
to my daughter. I have no love for this care home and I think they prefer people with either Alzheimer's or dementia who can't express an opinion. Would I recommend... never unless you can't express your own opinion.

My mum stayed at the care home for a few weeks before she sadly passed away. During the time she was there, I would visit her almost every day and sometimes during odd ball hours. Here is a list of concerns I encountered on my visits that never got addressed.


1. I could hear her calling for help

because she had no covers over her and was cold.
2. Laying in her own Urine with a sodden inconvenience pad on.
3. Staff didn't clean her hands when she had urine on them.
4. Urine and faeces left on bathroom and carpet floor.
5. No toilet rolls, inconvenience pads, and clean towels on several occasions.
6. Pad sodden when staff had only taken her to the toilet 1/2 hour before.
7. Red alarm button out of reach or not working at all.
8. Clothes went missing and never returned.
9. Up to 30 minutes or longer for staff to attend red alarm button.
10. Basic Hygiene low.
11. Wrong food delivered/on occasions nothing to drink.
Not able to publish one thing I saw, I can only say I was horrified. Disgraceful treatment.

My mother was cared for by Chacombe Park care home for just a few weeks at end of life. From the outset, the whole team made both Mum and her family feel at home. A safe, caring and friendly place. We could visit as often as we liked. Mum went out on a trip to Stratford and joined in with daily activities.
The care team are always available for Mum and the family. Most of all, the care given to Mum has been outstanding.

Hi, my name is Shaju, and I am the General Manager here at Chacombe Park.


I am a qualified registered nurse and was very privileged to have gained experience in OUH NHS Trust hospitals, Ramsay hospital, and various nursing homes. I have been working for Barchester Healthcare since 2018, initially as a Unit Manager and later on as a Deputy Manager at Chacombe Park before taking the General Manager role at Oxford Beaumont care home in Oxford.


I am delighted to have returned to Chacombe Park and lead this beautiful home, and committed to ensuring Chacombe Park provides an outstanding lifestyle, great support, and personalised care for our residents. I am passionate to deliver the best quality care to our residents at Chacombe Park and promoting a welcoming, homely and caring environment at this wonderful home.

Hello, my name is Delighta and I'm the Deputy Manager at Chacombe Park care home.


I joined Barchester’s Chacombe Park in 2021, starting my journey as a Pre-Registered Nurse. Since then, I have worked as a Registered Nurse across all units before being promoted internally to my current role as Clinical Deputy Manager.


I completed my Nursing Degree in 2018 in India and began my career in the Emergency Department. I am also specialised in neuro and neurosurgical nursing. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in critical and emergency adult care, which continues to shape my clinical practice today.


Since joining Barchester, I have achieved my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Adult Care, and I am proud to hold the role of Palliative and End-of-Life Care Champion. I am passionate about my work and committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care. I take great pride in getting to know each resident - their likes, dislikes, and unique stories - so I can help create a true home-from-home experience here at Chacombe Park.

Hi, I'm Katie, and I work within the administration team here at Chacombe Park.


I joined Barchester as a carer in 2021, having loved working with our residents and their families. The opportunity to become part of the admin team arose, and I jumped at the chance. Since being in the role, I have expanded my knowledge by completing an apprenticeship - Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 in 2024. I enjoy meeting new people and supporting all the visitors to our beautiful home. I am also a Barchester 'Speak Up' Champion, meaning I'm on hand to listen and take on any concerns anyone may have within the home.

My name is Gareth and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Chacombe Park. It is my responsibility to make sure that all the routine checks are carried out and any issues that are raised are acted on and rectified.


As well as following our maintenance programme, part of my job is to ensure that everyday items, such as hoists and touchscreen devices, are repaired in a timely manner.


I enjoy my role here at Chacombe Park and look forward to being part of a successful team now and in the future.

Hello, my name is John and I'm the Head Chef here at Chacombe Park.


With over 40 years of experience, I have an absolute passion for cooking and a flair for pastries and desserts. I originate from Liverpool and worked for over 26 years in London-based culinary establishments, from Steak Houses to 5-star AA Rosette-rated restaurants.


I love spending any spare time I have with my wonderful family, obviously cooking up their favourites!

Hello, my name is Melissa, and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Chacombe Park.


I started working for Barchester in 2020 as a general assistant and made the move into our Life Enrichment Team in 2025. I have a Cambridge National Level double award in health and social care and a certificate of higher education.


I have always enjoyed chatting with the residents, and I look forward to getting to know the residents even more during my planning of activities and events tailored to their individual needs. In my role as Activities Coordinator, I aim to bring fun, creativity and a sense of community to everyone at Chacombe Park!

Ruby is a registered nurse and has been practising as a qualified nurse for 3 years. Her job role is on Rowan Lane as a unit nurse manager. Rubiya has been working with Barchester since 2016., started as a bank carer whilst training to become a nurse.

Jisha is the unit manager on Willow Lane, our nursing unit at Chacombe Park. Jisha has been a nurse since 2006. Jisha is always happy to assist our residents and their families and support them with anything possible, ensuring their time with us at Chacombe Park is calm and worry-free.

Kate is our head of residential here at Chacombe Park, working on Maple Lane. Kate’s skills and expert knowledge led to Kate becoming one of our divisional finalists in 2023 for Care Practitioner of the Year. We are all so proud.

Job Title: Activities Assistant Joined: 2017

Hello, I’m Kim and I work within the activities team here at Chacombe Park. I started in 2017, initially as a Senior Care Assistant before moving into the life enrichment team as an Activities Assistant.


I have a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care and love to spend time with our residents. Having the opportunity to improve their daily wellbeing and enrich their lives whilst in our care means everything to me.


Whether that be sitting with someone one on one providing a pamper session, or running a high energy activity session, each day is different and there is never a dull moment!

Nadine joined Chacombe Park in 2016, she started her career with Barchester as a carer and developed her skills through the year, before joining the administration team.


Nadine is now responsible for all administration and financial aspects relating to the running of Chacombe Park.

Hi, my name is Stephanie Hammond and I have been at Chacombe park for 4years. I came as a team leader and completed my level 3 adult lead care diploma.
