In the short time that my uncle has been here, he has received good care but feels that staff are under a lot of pressure. The room was really nice to move in to with a pleasant view from the windows.
He feels that the food is sometimes a little tough and the choice is a little limited.

My mother has been a resident since October 2017. In this time, the staff have got to know her and ensure that she is cared for well.
She has Alzheimer's and although previously very independent, she now requires help with washing and dressing. The staff are always kind and thoughtful and they have
persuaded her or join in activities that she would not have done if she were still in her own home.
My mother is very happy at Chacombe Park.

From the receptionists to nurses, everybody we met were so friendly and helpful. Carers are so caring which is not always the case in some care homes. Supporting the family as well as the resident.

Arrived in a very distressed state mentally and physically and the whole staff looked after me beautifully and took the care of my husband off my hands until I had a chance to recharge my batteries.

My husband has been in Chacombe Park for eighteen months, during which time he has been treated with dignity, the nursing care has been excellent. The staff treat me and my family in a friendly way and keep me informed of changes. Keep it up.

My husband needed palliative care until it was necessary for end of life care. My husband was well cared for, kept clean, showered and shaved. The nurse was excellent. Healthcare Assistants were kind, cheerful and helpful.


The whole team were quickly responsive to any requests. The home is well

kept and maintained. It's very clean and has genuine care by genuine people.

A beautiful home in lovely surroundings. Good facilities and a range of activities. The lack of continuity of staff has a serious effect on the standard of care. There are many good carers but the home manager has changed too often. Too many agency staff are used to keep the numbers safe but this is
unsettling for both residents and regular staff alike. Food can be unsuitable for old people eg chewy, tough, undercooked but is generally satisfactory.

Good choice of food for all tastes.
Inconsistent in the delivery of care plans.
Struggle to get my mother's name correct.
First priority is ensuring monthly fee is paid.
Some lovely individuals in the staff/tea, who really care but overall, very average care

Receptionist, housekeeping and laundry all carry out excellent work and are polite and friendly and probably not recognised enough as they just get on with jobs in the background. Care staff are very kind, helpful and caring but often they are short staffed which puts extra pressure on them when they
are already working very hard. The majority of the nursing staff are very very good and go above and beyond. The supply nurses can sometimes not be so easy to understand and not know the residents so well. I feel I have to sometimes chase things as they don't always happen after I am told they will.

My father-in-law has been a resident at Chacombe for many years. The care he has received has been amazing. The staff at Chacombe are their biggest asset, always ready with a friendly smile and time for a chat. We are very happy that dad got to spend his final years at such a lovely home.

Chacombe Park Beaumont comprises a large, stone faced property with a roofing of clay tiles up to three storeys in height, set back from both the village of Chacombe and Banbury Road, nestling within a country park setting of well-established dense growth of a variety of tall mature trees amongst thick
ground bearing shrubs, which in certain areas open out into well maintained and significant areas of grasslands offering sweeping views. This environment supports a network of footpaths affording a variety of country walks for residents, some of which are suitable for wheelchairs. The care home property is surrounded with a broad walkway of concrete paving slabs which gain access to planted garden areas around the property many of which are maintained by the residents gardening club. On the whole, it can be stated that living at Chacombe Park is comfortable, warm, friendly and stress-free. The surroundings, the décor in both the public and private rooms have recently been upgraded and well furnished. A program of activities is scheduled each week covering both mental and physical subjects with occasional visits in the care home mini bus to sites of interest such as Blenheim Palace and Upton House with other visits to restaurants, tea houses and pubs.

I am a qualified registered nurse and was very privileged to have gained experience in OUH NHS Trust hospitals, Ramsay hospital, and various nursing homes. I have been working for Barchester Healthcare since 2018, initially as a Unit Manager and later on as a Deputy Manager at Chacombe Park before taking the General Manager role at Oxford Beaumont care home in Oxford.


I am delighted to have returned to Chacombe Park and lead this beautiful home, and committed to ensuring Chacombe Park provides an outstanding lifestyle, great support, and personalised care for our residents. I am passionate to deliver the best quality care to our residents at Chacombe Park and promoting a welcoming, homely and caring environment at this wonderful home.

Hello, my name is Delighta and I'm the Deputy Manager at Chacombe Park care home.


I joined Barchester’s Chacombe Park in 2021, starting my journey as a Pre-Registered Nurse. Since then, I have worked as a Registered Nurse across all units before being promoted internally to my current role as Clinical Deputy Manager.


I completed my Nursing Degree in 2018 in India and began my career in the Emergency Department. I am also specialised in neuro and neurosurgical nursing. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in critical and emergency adult care, which continues to shape my clinical practice today.


Since joining Barchester, I have achieved my NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Adult Care, and I am proud to hold the role of Palliative and End-of-Life Care Champion. I am passionate about my work and committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care. I take great pride in getting to know each resident - their likes, dislikes, and unique stories - so I can help create a true home-from-home experience here at Chacombe Park.

Hi, I'm Katie, and I work within the administration team here at Chacombe Park.


I joined Barchester as a carer in 2021, having loved working with our residents and their families. The opportunity to become part of the admin team arose, and I jumped at the chance. Since being in the role, I have expanded my knowledge by completing an apprenticeship - Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 in 2024. I enjoy meeting new people and supporting all the visitors to our beautiful home. I am also a Barchester 'Speak Up' Champion, meaning I'm on hand to listen and take on any concerns anyone may have within the home.

My name is Gareth and I am the Head of Maintenance here at Chacombe Park. It is my responsibility to make sure that all the routine checks are carried out and any issues that are raised are acted on and rectified.


As well as following our maintenance programme, part of my job is to ensure that everyday items, such as hoists and touchscreen devices, are repaired in a timely manner.

With over 40 years of experience, I have an absolute passion for cooking and a flair for pastries and desserts. I originate from Liverpool and worked for over 26 years in London-based culinary establishments, from Steak Houses to 5-star AA Rosette-rated restaurants.


I love spending any spare time I have with my wonderful family, obviously cooking up their favourites!

Hello, my name is Melissa, and I'm the Activities Coordinator here at Chacombe Park.


I started working for Barchester in 2020 as a general assistant and made the move into our Life Enrichment Team in 2025. I have a Cambridge National Level double award in health and social care and a certificate of higher education.


I have always enjoyed chatting with the residents, and I look forward to getting to know the residents even more during my planning of activities and events tailored to their individual needs. In my role as Activities Coordinator, I aim to bring fun, creativity and a sense of community to everyone at Chacombe Park!

Hello, I’m Kim and I work within the activities team here at Chacombe Park. I started in 2017, initially as a Senior Care Assistant before moving into the life enrichment team as an Activities Assistant.


I have a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care and love to spend time with our residents. Having the opportunity to improve their daily wellbeing and enrich their lives whilst in our care means everything to me.
