I feel my dad is well cared for, he is always clean shaven and in fresh clothes, I feel showers could be more frequent.

My main concern would be the lack of stimulation in the home. Only 1 telly works and that is around the corner. The residents all have set seats which they sit in every day there is a TV where my dad sits but it is never on. Not many activities seem to be on either. When I visit, I seem to visit 3 or 4 residents as they don't get much company.

My husband was first in Cheaney Court Care Home in 2014 for seven months and then came home. In 2016/2017 he became very ill and needed 24/7 care again. He came back to Cheaney Court in March 2017 because it was the only place I wanted him to be because of the brilliant care and support from all the staff. He previously received and still is receiving.

My father was resident at Cheaney Court Care Home from November 24th, 2016 to February 4th, 2017. During this time, he received excellent care and understanding. As a family, we also felt fully supported and informed of his needs.

My husband has been here for 5 months. As soon as we walked in we could tell it was the right place for him. It's not a 5 star hotel but a genuine friendly helpful warm place where patients and visitors are treated kindly and with respect. I can't praise them enough for all they have done for us. The help and support they have given to me during this difficult time as been wonderful. A great place doing a great job.

Fantastic care with fantastic staff. From the start they have been brilliant with him and with his dementia and now he is really ill, staff are genuinely concerned for him and the family. Every need he has has been met and I cannot recommend this place enough.

Everyone made us feel very welcome. My friend decided to cut all contact at the very end and this was adhered to by staff. I haven't rated what I didn't come into contact with, we were both truck drivers and it was without saying that I was given access to see him at some strange times. The only downside was that no one knew what time he died, we knew what time he was born but time is relative anyway. Thank you for looking after my friend when he needed you the most.

My mum spent 8 months in Cheaney Court and her quality of life greatly improved during this time. The care given by the doctors, nurses and carers was very, very good. Families and friends were welcome at all times. The staff endeavour to help all the residents keep their individuality and encourage interests for them. The domestic staff work hard to ensure a clean and warm environment and the catering is very good and balanced. The emphasis on Cheaney Court is 'Home'.

A well run care home with very good staff ratio to the needs of residents. Care workers are always considerate and show dignity to all residents. Excellent information and any change to residents to family.

Nobody wants to accept that a parent needs that little bit of extra care, you feel that you have let them down. To find my mum a loving and caring place to be happy, a "home to stay" makes me and my dad and my son's happy. Thank you.

My mother spent two and a half years at 'Cheaney Court Care Home'. She suffered from an aggressive form of dementia. The staff all greeted her on first name terms and always asked her permission to undertake any procedures. Staff were professional, caring and hard-working at all times. Management were quick to deal with any issues. There were a couple of incidents with another resident but this was dealt with speedily and to my satisfaction. The maintenance and ground staff kept the facilities in good condition. Thank you to all at 'Cheaney Court Care Home'.

The care home is excellent. I feel confident that my mum is being well looked after and that the carers do everything they can to make their residents comfortable and happy. The food provided is excellent and the rooms are spotless. My wife used other care homes for her mum but unfortunately they did not come up to Cheaney Court standards.

We were very cautious to where we wanted our mum to stay for the rest of her days as she had dementia and wanted to know that after the terrible experience she went through in the previous place she would be well looked after. As we walked through the door we were met by the manager and felt completely at ease as he showed us round and explained the running of the home etc, and we knew immediately this is where we wanted our mum to be.

Mum was there for the best part of 6 years and you could see how happy she was there, she was always clean and smart and the staff were always happy, friendly and dedicated as they often came in on their days off. Mum loved her music and there were days I'd go in and the staff had her favourite songs on the stereo be it in her room or in the lounge and would be happily singing away with the staff and residents. Those were priceless times and I can't thank the manager and the staff enough for the care they gave our mum in her last years.

Mother moved to Cheaney Court Care Home from hospital by a private arrangement, they seemed unable to coordinate moving her on despite telling her she was going home, since then Cheaney Court Care Home have targeted her care needs and coordinated arranging NHS nursing care support. Her health has steadily improved over the 10 months of her residence and she is better now than at any time in the last year.

This may not be the smartest home around but the caring staff are exemplary. We have used this home for eight years and both our relatives and ourselves have always been treated with courtesy and respect. The staff are very friendly and really care for the residents. There are opportunities for all residents no matter able to partake in activities. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and there is a very good relationship with the primary school.
