Following 3 months hospitalisation. I entered Cheaney Court in Desborough in July 2018. I was met there by smiling faces and a lovely cup of tea and biscuits, which was a kindly gesture. I was transferred from a stretcher to a wheelchair and then to a very comfortable, cushioned chair in the lounge
amongst 4 guys of my own age group and how friendly they were. I was in a position where I had to return to bed every day after lunch. I was kept in tough by the nurses regarding my health and progress. The carers were always available to give assistance whatever the request and nothing was too much trouble. A friendly doctor visited once a week. The food was adequate. Over the next 6 months, I said goodbye to the wheelchair and to the Zimmer and to laying on my bed from lunchtime. After 6 months walked out of Cheaney Court with my partner. Thank you Cheaney Court.

Upon admission to the care home Father was still very mentally independent and, within reason, fairly physically capable, the staff at Cheaney Court very much encourage and embraced this, moreover when his condition worsened I don't think he could have received better care anywhere. He was always allowed
to keep his privacy and dignity right to the end.

Cheaney Court provided very good care for my father. It was clean, warm, friendly and caring. The end of life care was excellent and my father's passing was peaceful and dignified. I am particularly grateful to Cheaney Court for this.

I would like to thank all of the staff for their outstanding care and support to my husband. I would also like to thank everyone at the care home for their continuous care and support to myself as well in last weeks before my husband's passing. I will be forever grateful.

The staff, from the manager down, are all so kind and helpful. They are all so concerned that the resident's needs and comfort are fully met. I hope that the manager will stay for many years to come as he runs the home so well.

I find Cheaney Court to be a very caring home where management, staff and residents enjoy a really good close relationship. The atmosphere is always good, everybody seems to work towards the aim of providing the best possible experience for the residents in often difficult circumstances.

My mother has been a resident at this care home for three years to date. My mother has always been treated with dignity and respect.
The carers are always attentive, caring and professional at all times.
The care home itself is always kept very clean at all times. All in all, I am very happy with

I am invited into the home once a month to interact with the residents. I have noticed lately a real affection from all the staff towards the residents. It is beautiful to watch the home provide more than just the resident's needs but are reacting well to their emotional ones too. I have been coming
to the home for 8 years now and have always found a good level of consistency in the service they provide. The manager has always put an emphasis on activities to stimulate which shows and 'above and beyond' kind of approach.

I feel my dad is well cared for, he is always clean shaven and in fresh clothes, I feel showers could be more frequent.
My main concern would be the lack of stimulation in the home. Only 1 telly works and that is around the corner. The residents all have set seats which they sit in every day there
is a TV where my dad sits but it is never on. Not many activities seem to be on either. When I visit, I seem to visit 3 or 4 residents as they don't get much company.

My husband was first in Cheaney Court Care Home in 2014 for seven months and then came home. In 2016/2017 he became very ill and needed 24/7 care again. He came back to Cheaney Court in March 2017 because it was the only place I wanted him to be because of the brilliant care and support from all the
staff. He previously received and still is receiving.

My husband has been here for 5 months. As soon as we walked in we could tell it was the right place for him. It's not a 5 star hotel but a genuine friendly helpful warm place where patients and visitors are treated kindly and with respect. I can't praise them enough for all they have done for us. The
help and support they have given to me during this difficult time as been wonderful. A great place doing a great job.

Fantastic care with fantastic staff. From the start they have been brilliant with him and with his dementia and now he is really ill, staff are genuinely concerned for him and the family. Every need he has has been met and I cannot recommend this place enough.

Everyone made us feel very welcome. My friend decided to cut all contact at the very end and this was adhered to by staff. I haven't rated what I didn't come into contact with, we were both truck drivers and it was without saying that I was given access to see him at some strange times. The only downside
was that no one knew what time he died, we knew what time he was born but time is relative anyway. Thank you for looking after my friend when he needed you the most.

My mum spent 8 months in Cheaney Court and her quality of life greatly improved during this time. The care given by the doctors, nurses and carers was very, very good. Families and friends were welcome at all times. The staff endeavour to help all the residents keep their individuality and encourage
interests for them. The domestic staff work hard to ensure a clean and warm environment and the catering is very good and balanced. The emphasis on Cheaney Court is 'Home'.
