Kenroyal Nursing in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire has been set up to ensure a versatile lifestyle for elderly and vulnerable residents with care needs.

Mum, who suffered from Parkinson's, emphysema and early onset dementia had a fall in July 2015 and spent 5 months in hospital where she continued to deteriorate. When it was obvious that she would never walk again and needed total care we looked for a nursing home and how fortunate we were to find Kenroyal.
From our initial pleasant interview with the Manager, who showed us round, to the day mum died we have nothing but praise for the Manager and ALL her staff. Despite the fact that mum refused to eat or drink and her steady deterioration, everyone in Kenroyal went out of their way to make her last months as comfortable as they could and treated her with the respect and dignity owing to an old lady of 91 who felt that life was no longer tolerable. Throughout her time there the personnel could not have been more polite, obliging and helpful to us and tried to make our regular visits as pleasant as they could. Well done Kenroyal

Kenroyal provided wonderful care for my sister for the last few weeks of her life. The staff are friendly, welcoming and were well-liked by my sister. She made no complaint and always responded positively when asked about the quality of her care.

My review is based on the care that my mother received between Jan 14 - Dec 14 at the Kenroyal Nursing Home. From the day that my mother became a resident at the home to the day she passed away the manager and her staff treated my mother with great dignity during a very difficult time for her as her
dementia progressively got worse. The Manager and her staff were always available if we had any request regarding the care they provided for my mother, the staff were always polite and helpful. The reason we chose this home when there were plenty of options available in the Northampton and Wellingborough area was because the home was clean with staff always in attending the needs of the residents, they also catered for Asian residents and were appreciative to any special requirements we made with regards to diet. My mother was one of nine siblings so she was constantly being visited by them and extended family members, all of her visitors were also impressed with the facilities and the level of service provided by the care home.
If you are looking for a care home where you can be sure that your loved ones will be looked after with dignity and cared for as individuals I would recommend you visit Kenroyal Nursing Home and talk to the manager.

My husband has been in Kenroyal Nursing Home since 23/05/2012 from Hospital. He has been very well looked after even though he can be very demanding at times. Staff are friendly, polite, professional and always ready to help. I could not wish for a better place than this. I am very much happy and satisfied
with the service my husband is getting. The Manager is very much professional and always approachable. The home is being refurbished completely and extended 35 more bedrooms. There is an excellent garden for all residents and families. All staff are doing their job with great smile.

Staff are very helpful and caring. My nan is being looked after well, and its the best I've seen my nan look and feel in a long time. It's nice to know that someone is always on hand to look after her and making sure she is safe

My dad Fred spent just a short time at Kenroyal before he passed away but we as a family are so glad his last days were there.


The staff were fantastic as was the manager, my dad was really well cared for, he was treated with the utmost dignity in his last week's after so many years of suffering

with Alzheimer's.


Thanks to all the hard working staff I would highly recommend Kenroyal.

Despite an unexpected admission, late at night, during electrical work being carried out at the home, my very distressed father was warmly welcomed. It very quickly became apparent to the staff that the initial assessment of my father's condition whilst in hospital was no longer correct and that he
was a very sick man being hastily discharged. Unperturbed he was found a more suitable room than that which had originally been chosen, which was nearer to the nurses station. From then onwards until his death 5 weeks later, he was under constant supervision of all the staff. Without exception all the staff were always courteous, friendly, respectful and caring. Very obviously happy in their work whatever it threw at them (much of which was not pleasant). The manager, was always available and happy to discuss my father's needs and well-being, and quickly implemented any additional requests. She very kindly found a suitable wheelchair for my father, who had suffered a stroke and had vascular dementia, to enable him to move around the home. Gp's were quickly contacted as soon as there was any concern about my father's immediate health. My overall impression of the whole home was one of warmth and compassion throughout. This care was extended to our whole family throughout my father's stay and indeed has continued since his death. Thanks and respect to all staff members. A final word - no items of clothing were lost or spoilt during dad's stay. Well done
