This is the first time I have experience of a care home. It has, for me, been a very happy time and I leave with regret but I have commitments that I have at home.
I have been treated with love and respect from everyone and made some lovely friends. I will be visiting the home and seeing my friends
and staff. My son has promised me that he will bring me should I need to go into a care home in the future as this is where I want to be. Thank you to all for the happy time you have made my visit. With love.

My father went into Ashurst Mews two months ago after living with my family and I for sixteen years. I was very anxious but have been extremely impressed with all the staff there. They have welcomed Dad and made him feel at home. They are kind, caring and conscientious. I have no need to worry about
him as if part of their family. He is happy and content and is playing his harmonica again. He enjoys the activities and tells me the food is fantastic. I did have one concern after Dad first arrived but after speaking to the manager it was rectified straight away. When Dad was taken ill suddenly it was dealt with calmly and professionally. His family who live out of town phone him and always remark how friendly the staff are. A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you.

My mum was in Ashurst Mews for some time and I can only say that the staff were always polite, caring, and would go that extra mile to make her comfortable, even more so during her last weeks and days. Nothing was ever too much trouble and I was also kept informed of any changes in her health. The
staff always took time to ask how the family was as well. I would not hesitate in recommending Ashurst Mews it really is a lovely, friendly, and caring place.

I recently had to find care home accommodation for my dad who had been in hospital for 7 weeks. The staff at Ashurst Mews assured me they would help me get everything in place. I was kept updated and they liaised directly with the hospital to arrange discharge. Since being at Ashurst Mews my dad has
been made to feel welcome and at ease. His room is perfect and all activities are fully inclusive. I have no qualms about recommending Ashurst Mews as a lovely caring environment.

Well what can I say the whole experience has been absolutely outstanding from the very start when I approached the home for my Mum. The whole team go above and beyond and at an extremely stressful time they made a difficult decision much easier to make. The care my mum receives is wonderful she is always

All the staff are lovely and really caring. 10/10. My mind is at ease knowing that my nan is getting the best care and is in a safe place. Clean and tidy. Has lots of activities for the residents. I would recommend the care home to anyone. If you are looking for the best care for a loved one.

We are very happy with the care and facilities at Ashurst Mews. It is far beyond what we hoped to find for our Mum. The staff are committed, kind and visibly care for the residents. The premises are very pleasant and airy, the garden is gorgeous and Mum describes the food as 'out of this world'. Activities
from chair exercises and singing to animal petting are fantastic. Covid safety procedures are reassuringly vigorous. I have rated excellent because we can't fault anything. The only one thing we could wish for is for residents to be able to get out into the garden a little more often.

You provided excellent care for my mother during the last 7 weeks of her life. Your nurses and carers were exceptionally kind and caring with her and helped to make her feel as comfortable as possible. My mum has been in Ashurst Mews now for just over 12 months and seems very happy and now settled in very well. She tells me how good the food is with a good variety of things, the staff are kind to her and I know she is being very well cared for.

I have nothing but good things to say about Ashurst Mews; my experience has at all times been excellent. My mother said she would never go into a care home, but when my father died suddenly in May (he had been my mother's carer), I persuaded Mum to try Ashurst Mews for 2-weeks respite care.
5 months
later, and she is still there, now a permanent resident. She loves the home, the staff, and especially the food! I have had plenty of contacts myself with many of the staff, and all have been very friendly, compassionate, and reassuring - amazing given the difficulties they have had to cope with this year. They are very proactive, calling me immediately if there is something I need to know about.
It's not cheap here, but at least you know the money is being spent on the right things - I hope to be placed somewhere this good if I ever need it!

My experience of Ashurst Mews so far has been great. My Dad seems happy and enjoying his new residence. It is hard to give an excellent to all boxes as my Dad moved in at the end of March and due to Covid-19, we have not been able to visit. However, from calls to my dad and what I have seen is very
good. Staff are very helpful and genuinely care. They keep me updated of any occurrence. Overall, extremely pleased.

My Great Uncle is in Ashurst News and as a family we're just so pleased we found it. The staff are so kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble and the effort they put into keeping residents entertained and safe is immense. In these difficult (Covid-19) times, he has gone from 7 visits per week to
0 and we are seeing lovely videos and pictures of him on social media. The manager leads by example and even visited him in hospital recently. Just a lovely place!

Having looked at several care homes for Mum and asking friends for comments, when we walked in the door at Ashurst we immediately thought this is the one. Bright, cheerful, modern and very clean. Excellent staff and management. Good food. We would certainly recommend this care home. The staff do lots

When my mother first arrived at the home she was in low spirits, didn't see the point in her life suffering from Dementia and finding it hard to fit in socially. Her outlook has now completely changed this is solely due to all the staff at Ashurst Mews.
Their encouragement, support and warmth. I feel
she now has her dignity back and I can see something of my mum returning. The facilities on offer daily are stimulating and fun. Visitors are always encouraged and made welcome. The food is of a high standard and varied. She is now enjoying a happy and fulfilling life and I as her daughter feel very secure in the choice I made for her to be at Ashurst Mews.

I have been extremely impressed with all the staff I have met at Ashurst Mews. Their care, compassion and interaction with the residents is excellent.

My uncle has been very happy since he became a resident at Ashurst. The meals are very good and the chef makes awesome birthday cakes and special canapes/cakes for themed events eg. 'Ascot Day' and 'Cruise Week'. His needs are met at all times. He really enjoys the activities and outings which are exceptional
and the beautiful gardens. Overall, we have observed all staff treating residents with a high degree of kindness and caring.

My father was a resident at Ashurst Mews for respite care - 9 days. He was very well looked after, room was very clean and comfortable. He never likes to be away from home, but was very happy with his stay here. All staff were friendly and very caring. If my father needs care again, Ashurst Mews will

My name is Bindu and I am the Home Deputy Manager here at Ashurst Mews, my role is to oversee the home runs smoothly in the Home Manager's absence. I oversee the Nursing Team and support all of the team to provide Person-Centred care and that all resident's needs are met.


I started my career as a Qualified Nurse back home in India. I moved to the UK for a higher study in Nursing, graduating BSC Hons from the University of Bedfordshire. I started my career as a Home Carer, was promoted to Senior, Team Leader and then was given the opportunity to become an Advanced Care Practitioner for nursing care. I was encouraged and promoted to Deputy Manager, I have been working at Ashurst Mews for 12 years now.


I am proud to be a part of the wonderful caring Ashurst Team, I am very compassionate, dedicated and committed to my team, residents and families.

Job Title: Head Chef Joined: 2017

Hello, I'm Keeley and I work in the kitchen at Ashurst Mews as Head Chef.


I have actually worked for Avery for 13 years, working in 4 different homes during this time, but I have settled and found my future here at Ashurst Mews where I have now been for 6 years.


Part of my role is to come up with different meals that are both healthy, nutritious and tasty. I tailor the meals to the individual needs and dietary requirements of each resident within the home and make these meals look inviting and the menus appealing.


My favourite thing about my role is seeing the faces of the residents tucking into their food, with my favourite quote being " That was my favourite meal." In my kitchen, I also spend time making sweet treats, for staff birthdays, coffee mornings, visitors and my most enjoyable to make, the resident's birthday cakes. When their faces light up it really makes my day.

My name is Georgina & I am the Well-Being & Activities Coordinator at Ashurst Mews. I am new to the role but have many years of experience in activities, planning and supporting the well-being of others.


I largely gained my experience from working within the Educational System for 15 years, working my way from unqualified to management, using my skills as transferable skills to the home.


I really enjoy event planning and making each and every activity larger than life, adding the small details and tailoring the day to the residents and also our families and friends.


My family are very close and we enjoy taking time out of our personal lives to support the elderly within our community, so what better way to extend that than to support those residing in Ashurst Mews? I am excited about the future and can't wait to share it with you all.

Hi, I'm Julia and I have worked at Ashurst Mews Since May 2017.


Within my role I ensure the house is kept in a presentable condition, and that residents are living in a warm, welcoming, clean and fresh environment, making this their home from home and a place they are comfortable in.


I have a team who work alongside me, they are a very strong and reliable team who work hard to maintain high standards. I am proud of my team and the standards we produce. Within our role we also make time to gain bonds with the residents and their visitors, we meet and greet them in their rooms daily, supporting them with any cleaning tasks, laundry needs and general housekeeping. We ensure everything is labelled correctly, hung and sorted for each resident.


I enjoy taking time to get to know residents' routines and their personalities so I can support them on a person-centred approach.

My name is Pat and I'm the Head of Maintenance at Ashurst Mews.


Daily I look after the running of the maintenance side of the home, planning and carrying out scheduled tasks as necessary.


I have been doing maintenance for 25 years now but with Avery, I have been employed for 1 year. I always ensure any issues are always dealt with and make sure Ashurst Mews runs smoothly and safely for all who enter and live in the home.


I feel Ashurst Mews is a home that is running very well with very good communication and the atmosphere is always a pleasure to work in.
