I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the care staff on the ground, including the admin, laundry, handyman and cleaning staff who work very hard to look after residents, which can be challenging at times. I would like to thank the nurses who do an excellent job and are very dedicated, patient and kind in their roles and last but not least I would like to thank the seniors and manager for all their hard work and time given by them to listen when I need an update. Thank you all for doing your best for the people you care for it means so much to both the residents and their families.

My husband has only been in the nursing home for 2 weeks. I would recommend it to anyone, it is a lovely home. Very caring and brilliant with residents. The food is excellent, as I have been and had a meal with my husband. All the staff are great, very nice people. It definitely gets 10/10 from me.

I would like to express my gratitude for the wonderful birthday tea that the lovely catering team produced for my mum on 20th September. Delicious homemade cakes, a lovely variety of fresh sandwiches and savoury pastries, all presented beautifully with lashings of tea and coffee. It was wonderful, Mum had a great time. You made it so special and went that extra mile with 12 relatives attending. Thank you so very much.

The home is situated in a very nice location. The rooms are clean with ensuites, the residents' lounges are very good and clean. The coffee and tea area is lovely where you can have a quiet time with your relation. The resident's restaurant is to a high standard and the staff go the extra mile to enable people to eat together. I think the care home is to a very high standard and the staff are wonderful with their patients. I could highly recommend it.

Mum was so happy at Berry Hill and loved everyone she says it is the best home she has been to.
Very friendly and caring and looked after all her needs. Being 102 in July 2018, I was the one worried for her but I can surely say I had no need to be as I'd never left mum before.

Thank you to everyone involved.

Mum only spent three weeks here but she described it as a "5-star hotel."

All the staff treated mum with kindness and consideration.

The nursing care was excellent and available on demand.

Our family were able to visit at any time which was much appreciated.

My 94 year old Mother has been resident for over 3 years and has, since June 2017, deteriorated in health, markedly having developed a rare auto-immune disorder. Personally, I have found it difficult say the least witnessing her decline and take each day on at a time. Reassuringly, the staff at the home have, thankfully, been well and truly on the ball, detecting any nuances in her condition that have been taking place. Their support of Mum has been, when she needed it, very moving indeed and overall she could not be in better hands. I thank God each and every day that Mum is more than happy and content with the care she has been receiving at, what has become a very difficult time for her.

A spacious welcoming home in which most of the residents seemed content at meal times in the large airy dining room.
Occasional nighttime interruptions by night staff to see all was well.
I was allocated a "showroom" which I had admired on an earlier visit but I had to request a mattress for the bed on the first evening and a TV replacement for one not working to the arrival.
Only 1 tap gave water over the hand basin - running cold and then too hot to use until much later - no plug.

Meal-times were approximate for service in the dining room but trolleys with tea/coffee/sandwiches/cakes/biscuits come to you are rooms, food very good.

Thank you for your kind comments regarding the Home overall to include the quality of food. I am sorry to hear that there were a number of concerns with your room upon arrival and would have gladly discussed these with you to get them resolved. I understand from our conversations that you felt comfortable during your time here at Berry Hill.

I took a lot of time looking for the right place. There was an open door policy on the viewing - 'Come any time' - which showed confidence and no subterfuge. As soon as I walked in I could see the difference. The staff and residents spoke to me. The place was clean and warm and friendly. Mum was given a corner room with en-suite. In the latter stages of dementia, she quickly settled. Wonderful food and great staff. If Mum feels like dancing, as she does most times, the staff join her. The 2-minute walk from the dining room to her room takes Mum 20 as she stops and gives every staff member a hug and a kiss. The great thing is that they return it. I could not be more relieved. I am confident it was a great fit for Mum. Everyone is so welcoming and they keep a watchful eye on all the residents. I am certain if there was a problem, and I haven't found one yet, I could raise it and it would be addressed immediately. The management and staff work hard and it shows. So great.

My father was admitted to Berry Hill Park Care Home after another spell at the hospital following a fall and night on the floor at his home. My father was not expected to live for more than a few days but because of the good, care and kindness shown to him by the staff here, he made an incredible recovery and remains alive today. He may yet reach his 100th birthday. Thank you.

The team at Berry Hill were very efficient. It took no more than 48 hrs from enquiring, to assessing, to transporting mum into the care home. The change within 48 hrs of mum going in were noticeable. She went from sleeping all the time to eating 3 meals a day and having a conversation with you. My mum was only there for 23 days and sadly passed away there. The nursing staff, carers, cleaners and cook went above and beyond their duties. They all helped to make mum's final days happy and comfortable. It was like being surrounded by extended family. Home from home. They respected your privacy as well as knowing when you needed their support.

There are many kind carers ar Berry Hill. One displayed particular kindness (as she always does) when she accompanied my mum in an ambulance to hospital. She reassured her and mopped her up.
When I arrived at the hospital, my mum was relaxed and reassured, despite feeling ill, evidenced by the beaming smile she gave to the carer.

Mum has dementia so becomes disorientated in strange situations. This carer was her anchor to her normal life. Thank you for being there and for caring so much.

Happy with the care mam's getting, just kitchen coffee shop water mostly cold, milk not always there, spoons missing!

Reply from Katie Price, Careline Advisor at Berry Hill Park Care Home

The hot water is replenished throughout the day but alternative equipment is being sourced to provide hot water continuously. Milk and teaspoons will be checked at intervals during the day so that the café area can be enjoyed by everyone.
