My mother has been a resident of Field House for the past 16 months. The major strength of this home are the staff who show kindness, compassion and outstanding care on a daily basis. My mother is treated with dignity and is always shown respect by all who care for her. It is very difficult leaving a vulnerable person in the care of others but I am 100% confident that Field House is the best place my mother could be in.
On behalf of everyone at Field House, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review. Your kind words truly mean the world to the entire team, and we greatly appreciate your support.
Warm regards,
Dimitra
This is a well managed care home. Staff od all they can to look after clients individual needs and make family members welcome and listened to.
Thank you for your lovely words Dorothy and for taking the time to leave us a review.
The care given by the staff at Church Farm at Field House has been excellent. My Mum came into the home mid December 2025 and the staff have enabled Mum to settle into the home incredibly well. The care is considered, compassionate, respectful and inclusive. The management are very responsive to requests. I cannot speak highly enough of both management and care givers. The home is also very supportive of all of Mum's family. I would not hesitate to recommend Church Farm at Field House to others.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly means a lot to our whole team to hear that your mum has settled in well and is feeling supported and cared for. Were grateful for your trust in us and are always here for both your mum and your family.
Field House is a very welcoming environment. The care team are remarkable for their warmth and hard work. Visitors are treated respectfully, and concerns are listened to and acted upon. If problems arise, as they will in an imperfect world, the team will work with residents and their families to come up with solutions in a friendly and cooperative way. All residents are looked after with care and treated with dignity and tact. The patience and dedication of the care staff is remarkable and is significantly better than in many other homes I have visited. I think this stems from good management. The manager, nursing staff, care workers and administrators are all very approachable. As a relative or friend visiting the home regularly, I am made to feel like "part of the family". I have a huge respect for the hard and often demanding work done at Field House, where there is clearly a desire to do the very best for all the residents, no matter what difficulties they face.
Your recognition of the manager, nursing staff, care workers and...
My much loved father lived here for nearly 2 years. Dad was looked after with warmth, care , compassion and respect. He was part of the community. Staff went 'over and above board' to facilitate 2 Christmas trips out we had. There is very much a positive ethos of ' let's do our best to make this happen', which I have truly appreciated. Commuication with the manager was very good. I have felt much support and genuine warmth from staff, especially towards the end of Dad's long life. I thank all concerned so much and will always recommend Field House to others.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a privilege to care for your father and to have him as part of our community. We're glad our team could support you and make special moments happen, especially towards the end of his life. Your feedback means a great deal to us, and we truly appreciate your recommendation.Warm wishes
This is the second review I have submitted relating to Church Farm Nursing Home as my seriously disabled brother has now been in care there for over nine years. My brother continues to be cared for by patient, kind and willing staff whom he considers to be his friends. The management are always available to listen to problems, to reassure and resolve them in as timely a manner as possible. I continue to recommend the Home to my friends and acquaintances.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this heartfelt and thoughtful review. We are truly honoured to have cared for your brother over the past nine years, and it means a great deal to hear that he considers our staff his friends - that connection is at the very heart of what we aim to...
It has taken time for her to adjust and settle but she really has and she absolutely loves the food and gets extremely good attention
No one wants to have to see their loved one in a home- but it's peace of mind to know she has safety 24:7 and situations can be addressed so quickly. Shout out to the GP next door too- Thank you.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mum has settled in and is enjoying her time with us, especially the food and care. Knowing that she feels safe and well looked after gives us great satisfaction. We appreciate your kind words and support, and we're always here if you need anything.
I just want to say a huge thank you to the Field House Team for taking care of my mother who was a resident there for nearly 2 years before she sadly passed away at the end of February. Mum was quite a character who loved to have a laugh, sing, and loved her food. The carers and nurses took great care of Mum and l want to thank you all for your care and kindness not only given to Mum but also to us as a family.
It was our pleasure and honour looking after your mum. She is missed by everyone. Thank you for leaving us a review.
The carers and nurses are pleasant, good-natured, and helpful. Requests and small problems are usually dealt with promptly. My wife needs assistance with all aspects of her care and always looks clean and presentable. Although her condition is very distressing I am confident she is in the right place.
Thank you for taking time to share your experience with us.
My husband came here in March he has a brain injury and needs 24-hour care. when I first came here I was scared never been to a care home but the management and staff are fabulous they made me feel welcomed and I feel so relaxed now they have been so helpful and have always supported me with my husbands care and are always ready to help and answer all my questions. The staff are so friendly and make you feel a part of their family.
We are glad to hear that you felt welcome by our team. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Nice words make a huge difference to our hardworking staff.
Mum has been at Field House for over 4 years now. She arrived in December 2019 and she was a reluctant resident! The pandemic in March 2020 had a huge impact on her and to be honest I wasn’t sure she’d survive the experience. However, during 2022 she suddenly turned around and began to take more interest in life again. Became interested in reading and what was happening around her and now visiting is good fun. She is a resident of Radcliffe and her face is recognised around the village, in particular the coffee shop where as often as not her drink is ready on arrival! The staff at Field House are all lovely and care about her. Mum will often say she likes being there and it is definitely home.
Thank you so much for your precious feedback. It means a lot to our hardworking team.
I feel very fortunate to have found Church Farm. My partner received the very highest end-of-life care. Every single member of the manager's team was compassionate and caring and were there when it all became too much. There was always someone available to talk to and give support at the hardest of times. I will always remember Church Farm with love and most grateful thanks for everything.
Thank you for your lovely words Vanessa. We have been honoured to be part of this journey of yours and your partner's.
When my mother first arrived at Rusticus she was very agitated, calling out all the time and refusing to eat or drink anything. She had lost an alarming amount of weight. She was also bed bound. Since being a resident at Rusticus the change in her is amazing! She is eating really well and gaining weight. The carers have got her out of bed into a chair so that she can get to the lounge and socialise with the other residents and carers. She is much happier. I put this down to the amazing care she is receiving at Rusticus. Everything about the place is brilliant; from the lovely rooms, lovely food, and great facilities. But the most important thing is the care given to Mum by the carers, nursing staff and everyone else who works there. The happy atmosphere created by all the staff was apparent on my first visit. We as visitors are also made very welcome including my dog! Thank you Rusticus.
Dear Elaine, thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback for one of our homes. I am the manager at Church Farm at Field House and I am responding on behalf of the manager at Rusticus. We are glad to hear that our hardworking team made a difference to your mum's quality of life. Kindest Regards.
Mum has been living at Church Farm at Field House Care Home for almost six months now. She has settled in very well and built excellent relationships with the staff who are professional, caring and attentive to her needs. Mum enjoys the food - fish and chips on Fridays being her favourite meal of the week! It was her 89th birthday recently and Mum was completely bowled over by the extra effort the staff went to in making it a special occasion. We took her out for a celebratory lunch but the huge birthday cake presented in the evening by the staff, accompanied by a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday, was a memorable end to the day for Mum and we really enjoyed seeing the short video clip of her blowing out the candles! It is a pleasure to visit to spend time with Mum at Field House or take her on day trips. Thank you to all involved for bringing joy into her life on a daily basis and for giving us peace of mind that she receives the best possible care.
Jacqueline, thank you so much for leaving this lovely feedback for our team. It's rewarding for us to know that your mum and her family are happy with the care provided and we hope to see your mum blowing many more candles in the future.
My aunt's room always looks nice, with lovely linen and the bed made and room tidy, the staff are friendly and appear to take a genuine interest in my aunt. I thought the arrangements and inclusion of family at Christmas were lovely and when I visited on Christmas day, wow, it all looked beautiful. Also, what is so nice is that I can bring in my aunt's little dog to visit her which makes the world of difference to both my aunt and the dog. Thank you for looking after my aunt.
Our team and myself are glad to know you are pleased with the home and the care provided. We are deeply grateful you took your time to leave us a review.
Kindest Regards,
Dimitra.
Mum has been at Church Farm at Field House Care Home for nearly two years, she is well cared for and the staff have taken time to understand her needs. They keep us well informed and quickly raise any changes or concerns in her condition with us.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your kind feedback. The team is deeply grateful.
Our sister has been very well cared for at Church Farm at Field House Care Home for several years now. The team there are professional, caring and inclusive in how care is planned and delivered. We feel confident that her safety and comfort are paramount and good decisions are made for her welfare. It's also the little things staff do to enhance day-to-day life that makes a positive difference. Field House is a happy place to be.
We chose this care home for my mum based on a number of factors, cleanliness, facilities, closeness to family and, more importantly, the extremely warm and helpful staff. Mum has been here for a number of weeks now and we have found whenever we need to speak to the staff to ask for assistance or to help sort out an issue, they have all been extremely willing to help. They seem to want to make the residents feel they are in a home-from-home. Thank you to you all.
Angela, the Field House team and myself are grateful for taking your time to leave lovely feedback for us.
The nursing care my mother receives is excellent. All the staff are lovely and very caring, especially when my mother has become very poorly. The home understands how difficult it is for the family and are always very supportive and keep us informed at all times.
Joanne, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for our team and home. We are deeply grateful.
Dad moved to Field House at the end of his care journey after being fiercely independent for many years; despite significant and multiple health issues. Finding a good nursing home for someone you love dearly is a huge responsibility with so many unknowns; but right from the start the staff were keen to support and help us. They were absolutely brilliant, making sure Dad’s needs and preferences were catered for. They understood that making Dad’s room a ‘home from home’ was very important to him, and we were able to move some of his furniture and belongings in. The staff ensured Dad’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs were met, and always went the extra mile to make sure he was comfortable and well cared for, practising person-centred and expert clinical care at the end of his life. It was very apparent that the team at Field House worked well together, and regular GP visits and medical reviews enhanced this. I am a senior clinician in the NHS and would highly recommend this home.
We are grateful to you for taking the time to provide us with your lovely feedback. It means so much to our team. It has been a pleasure looking after your precious father.
