My mother, who has recently died, has been a resident at Field House for the past 12 years. I think that speaks for itself!!
She has always been so very well cared for and I have never worried at all about her well being. The wonderful kindness shown from the staff, the fabulous food, alongside the
excellent nursing care have all made her stay so comforting. She has always had her hair done beautifully, nails and hands pampered, and loved the various activities and trips that were organised.
The end of her life was treated with so much dignity, professionalism and kindness which has been a huge comfort for me too. I have only thanks and praise for all of the staff.

My mother had been moved into this care home because she was suffering from dementia (and cancer). The care in this home was excellent and their attention certainly raised the moral of my mother (and also improved her eating habits resulting in increased weight.) Her final moments were handled with
great dignity and understanding helping my sister and I so much.

Field House cared for two very dear friends of our family.
On all occasions that we visited the Staff were professional, courteous and kind.
I would not hesitate in recommending this Nursing Home to anyone who are considering a Home in this area.

My mum only spent a short time at field House (6 weeks) but in that short time she was treated with the utmost Dignity, Respect and friendliness.
The staff at Field House made our mum feel valued and settled at what was a very difficult time for all of us.
They went out of their way to ensure that
every one of mum's care needs were met in a way that was helpful to her, and was treated as an important individual. She developed relationships with all the staff even after such a short while because they were so helpful and relaxed about the care they gave whist maintaining a fantastically high standard of nursing care.
During the last few days of our mum's life I cannot praise the staff highly enough, they ensured that mums last few days were pain free and nothing was too much trouble for them.
As well as looking after our mum, they supported our family (especially our dad) brilliantly, including us in everything and making us feel welcome at any time day or night.
Well done Field House.

My ex husband was taken into Field House in November after a spell in hospital. The care he has received has been exemplary, I cannot praise the staff too highly, every time you visit, there is a warm welcome and an update on the resident if required. I would recommend Field House highly. Spotlessly
clean, warm but airy and most of all a caring and compassionate atmosphere.

My mother was treated with the utmost respect and politeness. The nurses couldn't do enough. They were all very kind and caring. If all homes cared for dementia patients like this, it would be a better world all round. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you after going through a tough time.

From the minute I first visited Field House to look round I was impressed by the welcoming, caring nature of ALL staff and the homely atmosphere. My father moved from another Care Home 175 miles away to be nearer family after a severe stroke. From day one at Field House they provided him with a chair
with wheels so that he could join in activities and eat his meals in the dining room if he wished whilst waiting for a bespoke chair to arrive. This is in contrast to his previous home where he was isolated in his room. The quality and dedication of the staff and management is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble, both for the residents or their visiting friends/family. My father's end of life care was wonderful as was the support I was shown. I cannot praise them highly enough especially having had experience of other care homes.

My mother lived at Field House for the last 11 months of her life. We chose Field House because it felt homely and residents seemed happy. This was borne out. The staff were kind, caring and attentive. Field House seems very well run, we thought the food mum received looked good and she certainly enjoyed
it staff were very kind in supportive to her needs and to ours. Perhaps the furniture could do with a spruce up, but in every important respect excellent.

My father was admitted to Field House Nursing Home after spending two months at hospital having broken his hip. The hip mended but he was in a very poor state when he arrived at the nursing home not really expecting to last very long. They nursed him back to a much better state and I cannot fault the
care and attention provided there. All the staff were very welcome and caring and genuinely seemed concerned for the welfare of the patients. In a nutshell I was very satisfied.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.861)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.861) out of 10 for Church Farm at Field House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.588 for Church Farm at Field House is calculated as follows: ( (54 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) + (7 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 80 Ratings = 4.588
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.273 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Church Farm at Field House is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 52 registered maximum number of service users is 10.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.4 = 0.673
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
