It was so difficult to choose a care home for Dad but we definitely made the right choice. The staff are so kind, calm and professional and nothing is too much trouble. The best thing is that they have taken time to sit with him and really get to know him. He is definitely in the best place possible.

I would like to add, as we are now finally emerging from the pandemic, that Church Farm at Field House have been truly amazing throughout the pandemic, providing wonderful care. I am deeply grateful to all the staff, who have been brilliant. It’s so comforting and reassuring to know that my brother is in safe hands and I thank them every day for all the fantastic care and support they give him.

What can I say, other than thank you! The team at Fieldhouse were truly amazing with both our lovely mum and also those that loved her dearly. We faced some very difficult challenges over the last two years, the main one being covid, but, whatever the challenges, the staff dealt with each, with care, compassion and careful consideration. For two years they brought light back into our mum's eyes. She blossomed under their care and that can never be given thanks enough. You were the light in a dark tunnel and we are truly thankful that mum received such loving, compassionate care from all at Fieldhouse, right until the end.

Church Farm at Field House Care Home has been outstanding for my mother...and me. Mum was previously pretty miserable in another home, so I was delighted that she was happy here. I now realise that a care home doesn't have to be brand new or like a hotel. The most important thing is the care and kindness of the people who work there. Field House delivers this in spades by operating as a 'family' of carers and residents. There are lots of staff and they're friendly, helpful and professional. My mum had a super room which opened onto the courtyard, but even if this hadn't been the case, there's lots of space to walk around and different seating areas. She liked the food too. Mum was only here for three months so it's amazing how quickly it felt like her home to both of us. When she passed away the team couldn't have been more caring or considerate. I stayed with her until the end and they essentially looked after me too. I have no hesitation in recommending Field House and its wonderful team to you.

My mum moved into Church Farm at Field House Care Home during the Covid pandemic.
It was all very sudden as the home she was in was closed down by the authorities.
Mum was in a very bad state when she moved into Field House and the staff have done an amazing job with her. Her skin is so much better.
Mum has very high needs due to having a severe stroke and has behaviour problems and the staff are so amazing with her and treat her with dignity.
The manager is so caring and always wants the best for her residents, she is easy to contact and always offers friendly advice.
All the staff do a fantastic job and have had to work even harder during this pandemic.
And also knowing she’s in good hands has made the move a little less stressful.
So well done to each and every one of you.
The food looks really good too and they offer a good range of activities if you have a relative that can join in.
Another added bonus is there’s a doctors surgery next door.

I cannot recommend Field House enough.

I cannot compliment Church Farm at Field House Care Home and the staff enough for the support and care they have given my mum. The staff are patient, sympathetic and caring and have worked hard to get to know my mum and her ‘ways’ and will give her a reassuring hug which she so enjoys. Any medical problem or issue with my mum the home always contacts me and talks me through what is happening and what support will be put in place. They are as reassuring with me as they are with my mum. No trouble is too much for the manager and any query I have had has always been responded to promptly and cheerfully. I recommend Field House without reservation.

My father-in-law has been a resident for some time and we are very happy that the staff are looking after him really well. During Covid, it has been difficult not being able to visit but the staff have always tried to arrange visits when they could under the rules. They even put up a partition in the hair salon for visits and arranged Zoom calls to keep residents safe. It has been a weight off my mind knowing he is safe and well looked after.
We have been really satisfied with the home as my father-in-law is the fifth member of the family to stay in the home over a number of years. The staff members may move on over time but the replacements are all so helpful and friendly. The staff have been so caring of the residents but also the visitors which has helped me through some tough times.

Thank you.

After my mother, who had been living independently in her own home, had a stroke in March 2021, she was assessed as needing nursing care in a home. As she has no family locally everything had to be arranged remotely, but I feel we were very lucky in finding Church Farm at Field House Care Home.
The staff took time to find out all about Mum's likes and dislikes, and have always contacted me if they had any concerns. During my visits, I have been very impressed by the caring nature of all the staff I have met. Despite Mum's communication difficulties, they interact with her in a calm, positive way and seem genuinely fond of her. They have always taken the time to answer any questions I have when I visit.

I am sure that the manager and her staff will continue to care for Mum in a caring way, respecting her dignity.

Hello, my father has been a resident in the Field House Care Home for a long time now, he is well cared for and even through these most testing of times has always maintained a positive outlook due in no small part to the care and treatment the care staff have provided him. The care staff have also been extremely helpful in assisting me in keeping in touch with Dad, given that I will phone at irregular dates, hours and often unannounced as I live overseas and work in remote locations often without mobile coverage. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to anyone who needs a care facility for their loved ones.

Last June my husband was assessed as needing residential nursing care for his complex health needs. At short notice, we had to find a nursing home under difficult lockdown circumstances, at a time when nationally there was great concern about the deaths of care home residents during the pandemic. We chose Church Farm at Field House on the basis of positive recommendations and a socially distanced interview with the manager outside the home. What a great choice it has proved to be! The cheerful, kind, caring and very professional staff have provided high quality, safe care, despite the extra burden of work and concern for safety the pandemic has placed on them. My husband is very appreciative of the care he is being given. Communication with relatives is very good and we are being welcomed back as restriction ease.

Field House cared for my sister for 11-months until she passed away from Motor Neurone Disease.
The nursing staff were excellent in looking after my sister's needs. They would always contact the Motor Neurone Disease team for advice as my sister's disease became gradually worse over her stay in the home.

The carers were brilliant also; my sister could be quite demanding at times, but nothing appeared to phase the carers.

My mother had been at Field House since July 17 following her discharge from hospital following 2 falls and a stroke. She was extremely immobile. This didn't stop the staff at Field House getting her dressed each day and encouraging her into the dining room and lounge, interact with other residents and the carers. She enjoyed the games organised and entertainment every afternoon. The staff are extremely competent, caring and cheerful making the home feel like an extended family. They always welcomed my mother's visitors including children, babies and family pets. They have also been very supportive to me during this difficult time. Brilliant.

My Father spent the last 5 weeks of his long life in Field House. He was very poorly and unable to experience all that was on offer but benefitted from a calm, caring environment which enabled him to relax after staying in a busy acute hospital. The staff took great pains to get to know what he liked and understand his wishes. He was treated with great kindness by all the staff and his wishes respected. The staff were very supportive to family members at a difficult time.

Care is largely very good within the home, with good senior management and helpful considerate staff. The home has had a lot of investment in the last year and is clean and comfortable. Some of the staff at this home have been outstanding and very professional in all that they do. The only concerns I have had during my late father's residency was the disparity of care between day and nights. The home appeared to be largely reliant on agency staff on night shifts and this did not always meet the high standards that are achieved at other times. Staff at night appeared to have less supervision and less motivation to provide a high level of care. This is in the context that I fully understand that the care for my father was challenging at times and most certainly created a certain amount of pressure. The group has invested huge amounts of money on many of its sites, modernising and making them look pretty but needs to ensure they invest in their people with the same vigour.

My cousin has been in this care home for over a year. Her house has finally been sold and as I don't live near to her I had to tell her over the phone. It goes without saying she was upset. I phoned the office and explained that I had left her in an anxious state. The office found a carer who sat with her and talked about her worries.

What a wonderful, caring and kind home Field House is. So much so after my mother in law had spent two weeks respite care whilst we were away she decided two days later to make her way to Field House as she missed the staff and friends she had made so much.
We cannot in any way fault the staff at Field House, they are all so dedicated and caring, allowing the residents to maintain their independence but assisting them in their daily needs when necessary.

My mother in law still lives with us but goes every afternoon for care and to be with the lovely staff and her friends. Well done Field House.

I just want to thank the staff at Field House for the amazing care they gave my mum in the 18 months she lived there, they were exceptionally caring, considerate and kind.

In the early months of her stay she said to me ‘I’m not going into a home, I'll kill myself first’ and that says it all. What more can I say, she thought she was at home.

My father's care has been faultless. All of the staff at Church Farm are exceptionally professional and treat all the patients and indeed their families as individuals. There is a family atmosphere throughout the home and the carers go out of their way to create relationships with all patients. Any medical needs are met and the nursing team are quick to spot any changes in the patient's well being. Staff are always available to discuss patients individual needs with family members. My mother, in particular, has been treated with the utmost respect and is always invited to stay for lunch with my father.
Overall I can highly recommend this care home. Making the very difficult decision to enter a family member into a care home is certainly made easier when you know you are choosing Church Farm as I believe it to be one of the best in the county.

Thank you to all the staff for caring for my father and for maintaining his dignity our family will be for ever grateful.
