The staff are what makes Red Rose care community really special. They know the residents personally, their likes and dislikes and personalities and are friendly and cheerful no matter how difficult the job must be. The nurses and carers looked after my Dad wonderfully in the last year of his life and he so appreciated the time they took with him. The home manager is knowledgeable and approachable and always takes time to explain things clearly to families. The home is clean and the food is varied and appetising. Knowing my Dad was safe and well cared for has been such a comfort over the last year, and I wouldn't hesitate to make the same choice again.

Red Rose Care is outstanding. It is such a weight off my mind and that of my sister to know how happy and well cared for my father is. He is consistently smiling and happy and nothing is too much trouble for the Staff, 10/10 does not come close to what this care home deserves, it really does go the extra mile!

The Red Rose staff were very caring towards Mum and when she did not want to eat asked what kind of things she liked and tried to provide that. Mum was kept beautifully clean, with hair washed and clothing was always clean and well laundered and put away. Staff tried to encourage her to socialise and attend activities even when she was reluctant. Management and all staff were very supportive towards us and very friendly and welcoming during some difficult times. We are very thankful for their care of Mum during her last few difficult months.

My mum has been a resident at Red Rose for 3 years now. She has been well cared for and all her needs have been met. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Patient care is paramount. Menu and food choices are ample. Mum has dementia and has been made as comfortable as possible and safe guarding her condition has been adhered to at all times.

My dad is very settled and happy in his home. All the carers are so very kind and have his best interests at heart.

They care so very much the environment is lively and the staff who organise the activities are so thoughtful and the ideas are excellent. Dad loves taking part. The only concern I have is not enough staff per the amount of workload and that I would like to see addressed.

Myself and my sister visit Mom daily. Mom has resided at the nursing home about 5 months and from the very start, she has been made to feel settled and safe. The staff go over and beyond for her, Mum sees some of the staff as her friends and has really bonded with some. The staff work together with me and my sister to make sure Mum is safe, happy and helped with anything she needs. We get to feel that Mum is well looked after.

The reason that I have lowered my rating for management in April is because I felt mum was misrepresented on her emotional and health concerns due to the lack of communication from the management team. As mum has a DOLS and I have lasting power of attorney she is unable to communicate her wishes and needs affectively.

However, to be fair this issues was eventually addressed and hopefully will not be repeated in the future.

My MIL was entering Red Rose Care Home on an Emergency 2 week respite, with potential for permanent home.

We where greeted by the Manager Mirela, Deputy Manager Cami, and Nurse in Charge of the part of the home Glenis was staying. This was a very different experience to what we had received recently.

All the staff on the corridor was saying hello, Glenis asked for a cup of tea and by the time we got down to the room tea and biscuits where not far behind.

In the room there was a welcome basket, the had a massive blanket on top of the duvet turned into a bow, it looked stunning, the room is of a extremely generous size facing one of the gardens which Glenis will love, she went off with her Friend Kerri who joined me on the journey to Red Rose and they where sat talking to staff and Glenis was sat at a table with another cuppa waiting for lunch, she was so relaxed and enjoying the company and holding conversation with other people. Don't always go by cqc ratings

My mum has been a resident for just a month now after being in another care home for over 18months. Mums dementia had worsened , so we had to find another care home more suitable for her. We were naturally apprehensive about moving mum, but she has settled at Red Rose so well.
She says she loves it there
As a family we couldn't be happier with the way mum has settled into her new home, the staff have all been amazing and she loves chatting with them all.
Thank you for all the care you show. We appreciate it

Whilst care is a priority some functional aspects require attention- internet is poor and we are still waiting for it to be fixed. This is a shame, as I can't video call my mum which she misses as well as her grandchildren

My Father has been a resident at Red Rose Community for over one year. He settled very well in his new environment and his lovely, clean and spacious room. All his needs are continually met. He has shown such improvements physically due to the commitment and level of care and empathy he has received by the wonderful staff. Unfortunately, his cognitive status is very much in decline, however, the level of understanding, patience, reassurance and kindness he receives is to be celebrated. The staff work relentlessly hard in ensuring a safe, stimulating and happy atmosphere at all times and we, his family, are reassured by this. There are regular, varied activities for residents to get involved with, even boat trips and seaside visits which are all very well received ! The standard of care is high, the standard of efficiency is high and i would have no reservations in recommending this home for your loved one. The service delivery is focused on the residents and their needs.

From the very first visit, when we were shown around, the care home made us feel genuinely welcome.
Every single member of staff, from the nurses and carers to the cleaners, activity coordinators, and management, were friendly, caring, and compassionate.
My father-in-law was looked after with great dignity and respect from the very moment he arrived. He was receiving end-of-life care, and the support he received was exceptional. Not only did they care for him, but they also looked after us as a family whenever we visited. We were always made to feel welcome and were regularly asked if we needed anything or if we were okay.
I cannot speak highly enough of this care home. I would not hesitate for a second to use them again in the future should we ever need care for another loved one.

Another thing that we noticed as a family was not only does Red Rose look clean, it smells clean too. A lot of care homes have that certain "aroma" this one smells clean and fresh.

Our dad was in the care home for 4 weeks till he passed away on 6/2/25. He was treated with dignity and respect at all times, we were informed at all times of any changes and all the staff were great and nothing was too much for dad. He came in with a pressure sore and they it healed very quickly.

My mum is in residential care at Red Rose Community. We, as a family, couldn't be happier with the standard of care she receives. Today, we celebrated her 95th birthday and the staff (2 in particular) went above and beyond to make sure we and mum all enjoyed it. The immaculate room we'd been given was beautifully decorated, the food provided was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. In July the activities team organised a seaside day for residents, it was such a success! Mum was given ice creams and doughnuts and even we felt we were at the seaside!

Mum has been a resident for almost 18 months at Red Rose Care Community. During this time she has had the very best care from all of the staff. Housekeepers, maintenance and care staff all take time to accommodate her wishes and laugh and joke with her. Today is Mum's 95th birthday, yesterday the home provided us with a room to celebrate with all of our family. Decorated beautifully with balloons, banners etc to enhance the room. Delicious food and a beautiful birthday cake. The activity coordinators go to great lengths to try and encourage and include Mum in all that is on offer. Mum is very happy, which is a great comfort to our family.

Our parents moved together to Red Rose in April 24 after many years of struggling at home with their advancing years and various health issues. Sadly my father (94) passed away this week and I just want to thank the care team for the genuine care shown to him during his last few weeks, in particular to the team lead who goes above and beyond and truly cares, we are so grateful and comforted to know they are being cared for by such lovely people, they are a credit to the home.

Mum spent two years living at Red Rose and was extremely happy there. The care manager and all the staff were so kind, caring and professional, nothing was too much trouble and they all treated Mum with dignity and respect, she was very fond of them all. Mum looked forward to the organised activities which ranged from music, singing, crafts, baking and games, she loved all this. The home has a really happy atmosphere and as family visitors, we were all made welcome to join in with activities and celebrations.
