Mum went to Red Rose as respite and is continuing to reside there. I couldn't thank the staff or management for their help, support, and guidance at this difficult time.

Thank you Red Rose for your continued support to myself and my family.

I could not fault this care home.

They care for my husband, they provide very good care and so spot on trying to understand him and he seems to be settling in fine.

Staff are always welcoming and friendly and treat my mother with respect. The care she receives is excellent and many of the staff go the extra mile. I am happy that my mother is in such a good nursing home and that she is well cared for.

These are so valuable to reassure other families that the home is a good home and their partners/parents/loved ones are safe and well cared for. Once my father-in-law settled into Red Rose, he was treated by the teams of carers as a family member. His requirements and wishes were acted with kindness and professionalism, and the monitoring of his health was discretely accomplished. The building and surrounds are bright and clean, and whenever it is possible, all residents are encouraged to use all facilities and interact, if they wish. There is never any pressure placed on the residents. Red Rose is like a quality hotel, food and accommodation, very good, with the addition of a superb team of carers.

Just a big thank you to all the staff at Red Rose Newark. My mum, aged 95 years, enjoyed a very healthy life with no major issues. Unfortunately, she had to go into a nursing home for the last two weeks of her life because of a stroke. I can honestly say all the staff we met were fantastic, caring, friendly and helpful and in my opinion, we definitely chose the right home. I already have and will recommend Red Rose to anyone. Thank you.

An old gentleman of 91 years of age, who I have known for almost 50 years was admitted in August 2019, I have visited two or three times a week until the current worldwide Coronavirus epidemic. On each and every occasion, I have always found the staff most caring and very helpful, a first-class caring service, what else could one wish for. Excellent in every respect.

My mother has been at Red Rose since September. The staff are all lovely and really seem to care about her - nothing is too much trouble. She is well looked after and well-fed and joins in with all the activities each day. The home is comfortable and spotless with a lovely dining room. There is always someone around to explain things if I have any queries - I only have to ask.

The home is still judged "inadequate" by the CQC. However over the last year, we have come a long way, no agency staff, the home is being refurbished and a complete overhaul of management has resulted in an "open door policy" where residents and relatives are being listened to. There are still some issues causing concern but staff and management are working hard to address them. Overall the atmosphere in the home has completely changed for the better.

Red Rose is a nice clean and tidy care home. Staff are very friendly and polite. They keep Dad cleanly dressed and tidy. Did have a few issues with his shaving but has been solved now. Food seems to be improving with a choice on the menu. They are now sourcing local produce which is great!

I began my nursing career in Romania as a Registered General Nurse, working in hospital settings and as a nursing teacher. In April 2016, I moved to the UK, bringing with me a deep passion for caring for others and making a real difference in people's lives.

Over the past nine years, I have advanced within the care sector, progressing from Registered General Nurse to Senior RGN-Unit Manager and Infection Control Lead. Since joining Red Rose Care Community in August 2025, I have continued to lead with enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence.

I feel honoured to work as the General Manager, allowing me to do what I love most: being at the heart of our community and collaborating with both residents and the team. I am dedicated to delivering person-centred care, where the comfort, dignity, and happiness of every resident truly matter. I thrive on positive collaboration with our multidisciplinary team and deeply value the relationships I build with residents, their families, and my colleagues.

My goal is to ensure that our residents' quality of life is always at its highest level and that their needs are fully met in a warm, caring environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
