An absolutely amazing care home. The staff go above and beyond every single day, and their communication with our family is excellent. Crucially, the residents are treated with true love, respect, and compassion. Finding a safe place for my granddad with dementia was a daunting task, but this home has been wonderful. The level of compassion, patience, and tailored support they provide for his needs is outstanding.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot to us at Melbourne and we are so lucky to have such a great team!
My grandma was very well looked after, The staff made my nans stay very pleasant and comfy she relaxed straight in.
Staff always greeted me with a smile and warm welcome and Nan felt at home instantly which was nice. You could tell staff had a genuine care for her and it never came across as just a job.
All residents on my visits also seemed relaxed and well cared for, I never noticed any lingering smells and the room and communal areas were always clean, tidy and well maintained, She also never had dirty clothes on and always looked presentableThank you to the whole team who looked after my Nan in one way or another.
Thank you so much for your lovely words, it really means a lot to us here at Melbourne and we will pass this onto our amazing team!
Melbourne care home is a very caring place always looking to give opportunities for the residents to experience joy and something interesting. Mel the coordinator cares deeply about this and always comes up with exciting new ways to keep the residents amused. We visited on Monday to sing some songs and it was lovely to see the residents have some fun and the staff engaging with them

Melbourne House Nursing Home go above and beyond in every aspect of my dad's care. It's a home from home where staff really care about each and every one of their residents. It has exceeded all our expectations. We always feel so welcomed, and the staff immediately made us feel like part of a big family. They have an amazing team; where staff are always cheerful and treat residents with dignity and warmth. It's been such a relief to know dad is in such a caring and supportive place. We are forever grateful for the love and dedication shown to dad and our family.

The staff are always helpful. The care given to my friend is excellent. And the Care Home is always clean. Staff always seem to be engaged with residents. My friend is happy and well looked after. She is given her medication every day.

Our dad moved into Melbourne house early 2024. Of course it was a difficult time initially, but Dad has settled into his home and loves the staff. He is treated with dignity and his ways are respected. I do sometimes with he would go out more on trips, but Mel and the team always invite him! So much of the food is home made and dad always enjoys it!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, it means so much to us here! We are so glad Dad has settled in with us!
My husband has been at Melbourne House just over 2 years, his changing needs over this time have always been met. The staff are very helpful, friendly and caring. The staff are always very kind not only to my husband but also myself. The staff are always around to meet his toileting, eating and drinking needs. There is plenty of activities/entertainment activities to partake in or just enjoy. There is a regular hairdresser and chiropodist and a lady who does exercise classes for the residents. My husband is always and clean and tidy.
Thank you so much for your kind words we really appreciate it here at Melbourne! You are both part of our family here and we're so grateful for your ongoing support.
I'm filling this in regarding my mum whose having excellent care at Melbourne House Care Home. The staff go above and beyond for their clients.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, we really appreciate your support here at Melbourne!
Our dad has lived at Melbourne house for just over three years. He has very complex needs. Not only does my dad receive excellent care we as visitors are made to feel at home when we visit and nothing is too much trouble. My dad is well cared for by the team and he is settled. Last week the staff realised Dad was not himself. They called out of hours straight away and a GP did a home visit and gave him antibiotics. Anything we have ever asked has always been sorted straight away by the amazing manager. She and the team have really changed my dad's life and his family. I was originally recommended this home by a social worker as after looking after Dad for fifteen years it became apparent he needed 24-hour care. I am so grateful we found Melbourne House.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Melbourne, that makes us so happy that you are pleased with the care we provide. We love having Dad as part of our Melbourne family!
My friend spoke about a carer who he called "the cow" who seemed to try to make life difficult for him. I think the rest of the staff were more positively viewed. It was only one individual.
Thank you so much for your feedback, please get in touch with the manager with your concerns so that we can look into this. The manager was unaware of concerns raised due to the resident's family members being pleased with the service.
Melbourne House Nursing Home has provided my father with excellent care over the past few months. The Care Team, in particular, has shown a genuine dedication to his well-being, treating him with compassion and respect. The high standard of nursing care he has received has been truly reassuring, addressing his medical needs with skill and attention. The adjacent GP surgery which attends to the residents via weekly rounds - is a particular bonus. The variety of activities offered at the home is another standout aspect. The Activity Team works incredibly hard to keep residents engaged and inspired, creating a lively and stimulating environment. These activities have had a positive impact on my father's mood and overall quality of life. I am grateful for the care and commitment shown by the staff at Melbourne House, and would highly recommend their services.
Thank you so much for your lovely words, we will pass them on to our team. We are so happy that you are pleased with our care team they really are amazing and we are so lucky to have them!
Carers did a fantastic job. Sister-in-law came to Melbourne House 21 years ago and has been well cared for.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review, we all really appreciate it here at Melbourne!
Several concerns since our family member has been at Melbourne House and don't feel we are listened to. Room is dirty with old furniture safety a massive concern. Very abrupt response when we have raised concerns.
We are sorry to hear that you had concerns about the care provided at our facility. We take these matters very seriously, and upon receiving your direct concerns, we immediately investigated and promptly resolved them. We’re unsure why you left this feedback implying we didn’t listen or take...
My husband was in the care of Melbourne House Nursing Home until he passed away. The staff looked after him with care, compassion and dignity. The staff treated me and my family as part of their family. I wanted to give something back for all their care so I decided to come back as a volunteer. I've been here for 3 years now and love helping the residents. The activities I help with are outstanding and you can see the residents enjoying themselves.
We cannot thank you enough for everything what you do for us.
She loved the home and staff working there.
Staff are kind and friendly, great support network. Communication with myself was always on point. I am happy with all the care my mum received whilst living at Melbourne House.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We feel very privileged to be able to care for your mother and your support means a lot to us.
My auntie has been a resident since 2020 and we are satisfied that she is being well cared for and she has plenty of activities to join in when she is up to them.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are trying our best.
My mum was a resident at Melbourne House for almost four years until September 2022. I can honestly say she could not have received better care and compassion anywhere. The staff are wonderful as are the management. Entertainment and wonderful food are definitely their strength, as is their understanding of Dementia (which my mum suffered from). Wonderful place.
Thank you very much for your kind and touching words. I will share your gratitude with the team who will be incredibly happy to read this.
A lovely care home with dedicated and committed staff. The home is very well-led and managed. I cannot thank the manager enough for all her trust and support of my 93-year-old mother, who had been in decline at her previous nursing home and sustained injuries to her face. The team at Melbourne are fantastic! Kind and caring.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We feel very privileged to be able to care for your mother and your support mean a lot to us.
My friend was moved from the hospital to Melbourne House for end-of-life care and sadly stayed only a few weeks before he passed away. Every single one of the staff was amazing - caring, kind and professional. They got to know my friend, accepted him and how he was towards the end with compassion and good humour at all times. The home is friendly and relaxed, and I know that he felt at ease and comfortable there, even under such awful circumstances. He really appreciated that the carers and nurses would come in and have a chat and laugh with him, always treating him as an individual. We, his friends, also really valued their kind support for all of us who visited him, especially those who were with him at the end.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I will be sure to share them with the team.
