I have been coming here for several years to begin with just visiting my mother but as I've got to know everyone, I also volunteer to do some art/craft work with my mum and the other residents. It has a lovely family atmosphere and everyone is made to feel welcome and valued. All of the staff do a great job and couldn't be more helpful.

Melbourne House Nursing Home staff are taking wonderful care of my Grandad. We were worried about him going into care with such things on the news but we needn't have been. Management, carers, kitchen cleaners and activities are all amazing. Thank you all.

Thrilled! Gran loves it here. We were worried about her going into care - we had no need. Care and meals are top notch. Activities are great. They are using the 'butterfly system' which Gran loves as she doesn't care for group activities. More homes should be adopting this method. The one to one time is essential for people who don't want activities so really well done. Can't think of anything bad/negative to say. Thank you Melbourne House and Staff.

I've visited Melbourne now on a number if occasions as a good long term friend of mine is a resident. She's always happy and content. She is either eating or drinking when I get there. There's often an entertainer such as a choir or a singer on for the residents. They even have an art teacher who volunteers. Highly recommend this facility.

Staff were so helpful and kind to my uncle. They were always eager to encourage him to take part in activities and took account of his personal likes and interests. They supported him to take part in daily tasks and always promoted his independence.

My mum in law receives wonderful care. The staff are kind and caring and the home is always clean.
The meals are really good and plenty of choice.

There's sometimes an issue with lost laundry but that's the same in many homes.

Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Very friendly caring staff, always there to help, very clean and well organised and very well managed. Always keeping you updated, there is nothing more comforting than knowing your loved ones are receiving the best care possible and so would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and dedication. Thank you.

Just wanted to say a big Thank you to all the staff carers, cleaners, laundry, office workers for their care of our mum. She was a resident for 5 years at Melbourne and was very happy, she sadly passed away on 15th September but her care right to the end was impeccable and for that my sister and I would like to say a big big thank you.

When I visited my dad during his respite, he always seemed content. He was unable to get out of bed, but there always seemed to be staff going up and down the corridor, some of which popped in to see him. All of the staff I met during my visits were very nice. They were all very fond of my dad. I was told he was eating and drinking well and did see some evidence of this. I was also told his ongoing sores were improving and I did see signs of this. However, he did come out with new sores. All in all though, I did think this was a good service.

The staff know my mother really well, likes and dislikes. They are kind, caring and always willing to have a joke with her.
She loves the food and enjoys sitting in the music lounge.
There is regular entertainment, which all the residents seem to love.

There are always improvements to be made but the manager is eager to address any issues and work with staff and relatives in the home.
