The staff are very caring and considerate of the feelings of our relative. She is difficult to handle and doesn't cooperate or leave her room regularly. The staff always try to encourage her and take time to listen and chat.

I have experience of Rose Court as my husband was here for here for the past few weeks of his life and was looked after very well.
My friend has been a resident for about 6 months and once she had settled she has been fine.
She always looks clean and well cared for.

There is always a nice atmosphere and plenty of activities for the residents.

The staff are excellent in caring for my wife and are very understanding in what her needs are. This gives peace of mind knowing that all her needs are met in a very professional manner. I would highly recommend Rose Court to anyone putting a family member into care.

Never a need to deal with management so hard to comment.
Rooms are a little small.
Not around whilst he's eating so not sure on food and drink but the menu always looks good. Don't deal with the finances.
All the residents seem really happy, it feels like a hotel.

Highly recommend for dementia and Alzheimer sufferers.

I have had respite in many care homes and came here from a home I was in for over 10 years up until now I am a lot happier. I'm given choices and not spoken down to. I am very happy here.

We cannot fault the care that was given to our fiend in Rose COurt (March/April 2018) or the support that was offered to ourselves at a difficult time. Every member of staff, whether maintenance, reception, cleaning, nursing or caring were superb. Rose COurt home and our friend's clothes were kept lovely and clean. We have never seen such kindness offered to infirm people. He could not have received better care anywhere. We thank everyone concerned in his care.

Rose Court has cared for my mum for over 8 months. During that time the staff have been fantastic with mum. They care and treat all the residents with the utmost care. My mums end of life treatment has been a great comfort to me and my siblings, we have been staying with mum and we have been made very welcome and not felt in the way.

The home is very well run and the staff are extremely dedicated to their work. Any problems were communicated and acted on. I am extremely grateful to all the staff who looked after my mum in the last thirteen months of her life. The home is well equipped and very friendly which helped us to know that mum was in the best place. Even relatives of other residents were sociable. The rooms are well set out and residents can bring personal items in to make it feel like home. I cannot fault the care given to the residents.

Introducing Leanne Batten-Smith

Home Manager at Rose Court, Radcliffe

What does kindness mean to you?

“Always trying your best each and every day; to fulfil the lives of others that you care for and work with. Working with a positive approach, and always treating others how you wish to be treated yourself.”

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Leanne has gained many years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.

Leanne shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.

When asked why she chose to work in the care sector, Leanne remarked:

“I have always had a sense of caring and making peoples’ lives better in any way I can. This sector has taught me many skills, that I have been fortunate to share with others, to enrich the lives of people in a positive way and it makes me proud to bang the drum for social care each and every day.”

Leanne’s favourite thing about being a Home Manager is showing what can be achieved by a great team, with a great ethos and providing the kindest care to the people living within the home.

Leanne’s biggest achievement was her nomination for the National Care Awards and achieving Runner Up in the ‘Leader of the Year’ category, at the HC-One awards.

Outside of work, Leanne enjoys going for country walks with her family and two dogs.
