Overall Experience

My mum was in Rose Court for over five years, sadly passing away in February this year. I can honestly say she received the best care and attention in the care home surrounded by caring staff. Mum was always well looked after, well dressed and clean and well-fed. All of the things she would have valued if she was able to speak for herself. No matter what time I visited the care home, everything was always calm and well organised, you can see they run a tight ship and ensure they meet the needs of all residents. Everyone knew my mum and she liked nothing better than to wander around saying hello to everyone. I thank Rose Court for the bottom of my heart for the care and love they gave my mum at the end of her life. I will always be grateful that she was well cared for, thank you.

My sister was a resident at Rose Court. I cannot praise the attention she received enough. She was not an easy person at times but her problems were dealt with in a very professional way. Sadly she recently passed away after five years of residency at Rose Court. I thank everybody for your wonderful care, tolerance, kindness, patience, sincerity, love and keeping us aware of the problems faced.

My dad was in this home for the last 10 months of his life and I cannot thank them enough for how the staff looked after him. They were brilliant. There was always a number of staff on duty at any one time and nothing was too much trouble. They also gave the family support as well.

I visit Rose Court at least twice a week. I am always made very welcome and it's very reassuring to see how well my friend is treated. She is well looked after, always eating something good and seems happy with the friends she has made in the home. When I used to leave my friend at her own home, she used to get upset but now when I leave her, she has a smile for me. I am thankful that my friend is happy and content at Rose Court.

The manager of this home is rude unprofessional and obstructive. Nice when things are ok but if ever confronted about any situation she is unprofessional. From a resident fall or even no supplies in the room which are paid for, basics like soap. Unfortunately, we have had a few issues, not all carers are bad here, some are very good and caring but a lot of things get dismissed when brought up and are not of a type of care you would expect or wish for a resident. Nor as a relative would you expect to be screamed at by a manager in a corridor in earshot of people in their home or visitors which has happened in the past. Unfortunately, she is unwilling to give you basic information on policies that should be available or speak to you like a human being. It is sad to feel this when your parent is settled and unfortunately deteriorating.

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. As an organisation, we take the safety and wellbeing of our residents and staff very seriously. This home is renowned for its excellent services and care provision, so it is disappointing that you feel as you do. We work hard to provide kind, quality care to all our residents at all times.

My mum moved into Rose Court as it is very local to me and her friends who visit her every day. My mum has settled very well with the help of the staff who are very helpful, hardworking and nothing is too much trouble. The food they provide at mealtimes and throughout the day is fantastic. The cafe area is a great place to sit, have a drink and a chat.

My brother and I are extremely happy and confident with the care our aunt is receiving in Rose Court Care Home. The staff are always considerate and caring, not only to our aunt but to us as well, making time to put us at ease.

The staff offer not only 24-hour care and protection but also love which is so important. Thank you all.

My grandma has been at Rose Court now for a few months and she absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing and hardworking and they are fantastic with the residents. When my grandma first arrived there she was nervous and scared as she didn't know anybody but the staff have done an amazing job settling her in. I no longer have the worry of her falling and being lonely and I know she is happy and safe. She has made new friends and has been out on trips. They do a lot of outings and activities with the residents it's great. I can't praise the staff enough for taking the worry away.

The care home is very clean and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. At first, we were apprehensive about leaving my mother-in-law in a home but soon felt reassured that she would be fine as she quickly settled in. Organised trips are a regular occurrence which we feel is great.
