Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. As you are aware, the Department of Health classes two or more positive cases as an outbreak. This does not mean individuals are showing symptoms but that following a test, they are positive. We understand your concerns regarding how a larger home will have more tests completed and therefore a higher chance of getting two positive cases. We have spoken to the Department of Health about this matter but unfortunately, we are unable to change it. We are so pleased visits have now re-commenced in the form of one designated visitor with regular Covid testing. We would like to apologise for the issues with the booking system; we believe these are now resolved.

Introducing Leanne Batten-Smith
Home Manager at Rose Court, Radcliffe
What does kindness mean to you?
“Always trying your best each and every day; to fulfil the lives of others that you care for and work with. Working with a positive approach, and always treating others how you wish to be treated yourself.”
As a dedicated healthcare professional, Leanne has gained many years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.
Leanne shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
When asked why she chose to work in the care sector, Leanne remarked:
“I have always had a sense of caring and making peoples’ lives better in any way I can. This sector has taught me many skills, that I have been fortunate to share with others, to enrich the lives of people in a positive way and it makes me proud to bang the drum for social care each and every day.”
Leanne’s favourite thing about being a Home Manager is showing what can be achieved by a great team, with a great ethos and providing the kindest care to the people living within the home.
Leanne’s biggest achievement was her nomination for the National Care Awards and achieving Runner Up in the ‘Leader of the Year’ category, at the HC-One awards.
Outside of work, Leanne enjoys going for country walks with her family and two dogs.
