Caring and friendly staff who go above and beyond for all residents, have given my mum and I a lot of support and nothing is too much trouble.
I would recommend Brookdale View to anyone
My mum has been there for over 10 years and it is now her forever home, the staff are like a second family to us.

The home is very well catered for the residents and the staff have always been very nice to my aunt. Two staff members in particular are very diligent and supportive. I feel my aunt is safe and well cared for.

My mother has been cared for at Brookdale View Care Home and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are highly competent, warm and friendly. They are gentle and kind with the residents. My mother has settled wonderfully and she has been treated with respect and kindness throughout.

I can honestly say that my mam's experience has been amazing! Every single member of staff do their absolute best at all times... International Cheese Week, D-Day, Euros, 80s party, they do everything to entertain and make the residents happy. She is always clean, well fed and really cared for and the
room is spotless. I cannot thank them enough and wish she could stay here forever. She said she is going to tie herself to the bed so she can't leave!

Mum moved to Brookdale View Care Home a couple of months ago. She has settled in better than I anticipated she would and that's thanks to the manager and her team of amazing staff, nothing is too much trouble. They have all been supportive, patient and understanding and the manager's door is always
open and she is willing to listen to any concerns and is regularly seen in the corridors. There are a range of activities throughout the week for those wishing to join in. We were encouraged to bring personal items to decorate the room and make it home. Mum says she enjoys the food and there is always a good choice on the menu which is displayed outside the dining room daily. Most days, weather permitting, I take her into the courtyard garden as it overlooks the bowling green at Brookdale Park, the location of the home is a bonus as Mum has a view of the park and likes to watch the birds and squirrels from her window. I'm happy knowing she is being well cared for.

My relative has been in Brookdale View for just over a year now after quite a few hospital stays and a failed stay at another care home. They have thrived since being in Brookdale and are now happy and consider this their home.
The staff are all very friendly and keep us, as a family, updated on any
health issues. They look to enjoy their jobs which I'm glad, as I have found at some care homes staff moan to residents and families, which when working in this environment they need to leave their personal issues at the door. Brookdale staff all work hard and always smile when I see them.
Looking forward to seeing what the new manager will do, she's been here six months and things have improved. The residents need more stimulation and that is happening more.
Food could be improved and after I have seen changes in this already.

Brookdale View Care Home is a lovely home, the staff are so friendly, kind, thoughtful and always happy to help.
There is always a very happy atmosphere at Brookdale.
I know that my mum is well cared for which gives myself and my family peace of mind. My mum always says that her carers are her family.

The care home manager has recently left after about 18 months there. Since she has gone, standards have definitely dropped. There's been no hot water for residents to shower for a long time. My mother is used to showering every day. She has dementia and not being able to shower breaks her routine and
confuses her. She is sometimes not woken up for her meals despite us telling the carers to wake her up for meals. One day this week I arrived at 1 pm, bed not made or changed, bins not emptied and hoovering not done. Sort this out! This applies to December.

The care and well being of all residents is fantastic.
The staff go above and beyond, especially one member of staff in particular on the ground floor.

I moved into the home 6 weeks ago, after being cared for at home with my daughter, feeling anxious scared, upset at leaving everything behind - I shouldn't have worried. I was made to feel so welcome by all staff and management. I feel like they are my family, it's clean, I'm kept clean, the staff are
so caring and comforting, I look forward to seeing them and having our chats.

This home and staff have been warm, welcoming, polite and wonderful with my mother. They have made us feel like part of their family. I have a lot of respect for all the staff. My mum has made friends and loves it at Brookdale View Care Home which makes it so much easier for me as I was her carer.

My cousin and I went to view the nursing home. The manager was welcoming, we were shown around the home. The home looked very clean and the staff seemed very friendly. The manager offered us coffee and biscuits which was very nice. The manager spent some time with us and talked through all our concerns.
My cousin's brother moved into Brookdale View and seems happy.

Me and my cousin went in to visit my brother and we have noticed that since being in Brookdale View my brother looks well cared for. The staff are very friendly and work very hard. The home manager always comes out of her office to greet us and make us feel welcome. We are always offered a cup of coffee
when we visit. We attended our first meeting with the home manager, staff and other residents and it was enjoyable.

The new manager is doing a great job. I've noticed the changes already. The place is cleaner and brighter. Hope she stays around, there's been too many changes of managers in the last two years.

My brother was placed in Brookdale View after a stay in hospital and he loves it there. He has always been very independent but due to his disability issues, now needs nursing care and he cannot speak highly enough of all the staff and how kind and caring they are. As a family, we are kept informed
and whenever we visit are welcomed warmly and treated as friends. His room is lovely and warm, a very good size and he really feels at home there. He was at another home prior to his hospital stay and whilst it was okay, Brookdale has shone in comparison and my brother has felt happier and his mental health has improved. I feel confident in the staff and know that he is safe and well under their care.

On the first visit, before my sister went into Brookdale View, we were shown her room. It wasn't her room, she was moved the day she moved in. 11am and the bed is often not made. Lack of activities for dementia residents. On returning from a day out, three members of staff were sat alone outside, smoking,
whilst residents in the lounge and back garden were alone. Whilst clothing was marked, a few items went missing, including my sister's hearing aids. On moving out, whilst staff told us on Friday, she was moving, on the Monday, staff were not aware. No medication was ready and all her clothes needed packing. One member of staff did offer to help.

As far as staff goes they cope with extremely difficult circumstances with a great sense of caring and compassion, but, when they flag things that need attention, be it lack of supplies i.e. for personal care, food - quality, taste, choice, lack of to feed the number of residents present, etc, heat/hot
water, personal clothing or items that have not been returned from laundry, these are just a few. It is as though their words fall on deaf ears, no one is listening nor is anything done to rectify the situation. They do have a book that residents can write in, that is those capable which is again met with false promises of how it will improve, but, never does. When you look at the printed menu outside the dining room, your taste buds tingle with excitement about what food you will be eating. The only trouble is you don’t get what it says ever, more empty promises if you like weird combinations, bland, tasteless, small portions, good food ruined that you will eat otherwise you won’t.

Avoid this so called care home, they did very little to care for my partner, who was put in here due to me having open-heart surgery while I recovered both in hospital and at home.
They did nothing to care for him, he was bedbound due to Parkinson's and other health issues. He could not feed himself
and staff were not very helpful with this and when he became worse we had to phone an ambulance as they just wanted to call a doctor. My partner passed away shortly afterwards in hospital with sepsis.
I would not put a dog in this place as they don't care about nothing but profits.
