All the staff at Laurel Court have shown outstanding commitment through a very difficult period. I am particularly grateful to all the Nursing and Caring team for their kindness in looking after my wife. As her 'Essential Carer' they have welcomed me and integrated me into a real team effort. The result, despite contrary predictions, has been an almost incredible improvement in my wife's condition measured not least by her 10kg weight gain. The whole quality of life has got so much better and I can only say a big thank you to everyone.
The staff are amazing with deep reserves of patience, humour and care. There are plenty of activities. During the lockdown, the staff worked doubly hard to ensure residents were entertained and stimulated. The two chaplains provide excellent spiritual support for everyone, whether or not they practice a religion. The standard of care is excellent. Rooms are spacious and en-suite. If I needed residential care myself I would be happy to live at Laurel Court
Laurel Court also cared for my dad when he moved in in August. Unfortunately, he became very sick and was put on an end of life pathway by the hospital. Laurel Court cared for him as though he had been a long-time resident and could not have been kinder or more supportive. They really cared for him, my mum and the wider family, both before and after he died. We are so grateful.
