From my pre-visit to my brother's admission, everything was handled very professionally. In 3 months, we have all seen a massive improvement in my brother. All the staff have been excellent. My brother is now very happy, his appetite is back, and he is now more aware and alert. We are now reassured
that he is safe and in good hands when we visit and when we leave. He has been treated with dignity. The staff have been proactive, and his room is now personalised. Medical appointments made where necessary. Thank you to all.

My mother was admitted to Charlton Place on 24th December 2024. She was on end of life care. The staff were welcoming, kind, caring and understanding from the start. Her room was bright and comfortable, which we enhanced with some of her own possessions. She wasn't eating but the staff still tried to
encourage small amounts of food and drink. They remained positive up to her passing on the 9th January 2025. I am so grateful to everyone at the home.

My mother in law was left to die without dignity in great agitation, groaning, writhing in her bed crying out, all for her children to witness, including granddaughter and family friend. I found out that prior to her death, she has been in an agitated state for more than 2 weeks. After all her hard
earned money was spent on poor care, she died in the most undignified way, showing to me the staff here have no idea of end of life or even empathy.

The staff are lovely and look after my dad very well. He is happy here. He likes the food. He likes going in the garden for a smoke with two staff members in particular. They both look after him and know his needs, and notice how he is each day. All the staff are brilliant too.

My mother has recently moved into Chorlton Place Care Home and she is like a new women.
Before arriving, she had given up on life and had nothing to look forward too, is bed bound. Even having a conversation was difficult, she wouldn't eat or try to eat.
She is now eating although little and the
lovely carers hoist her out of bed so she can join what she calls 'the girls' for breakfast. She's had a shower and played Bingo.
The staff have booked her in with the hairdresser.
We have since had fantastic conversations with her and she is content.
Thank you to all the staff so far! We are looking forward to hearing what my mother joins in with next.

My mum, has been a resident at Chorlton Place Care Home for 7 weeks now and she absolutely loves it. She is so settled and happy. All of the carers and support team are amazing and really now understand my mum and what she needs. She is always neat and clean and fresh smelling and they really look after
her. We really couldn't be happier.

After a successful 2 and a half years of Mum living at Chorlton Place we sadly lost Mum, up until her final moment the staff went above and beyond to fulfil her needs. Mum was challenging at times but the staff never gave up with her, even at the end we were looked after as a family with nothing more
than pure dignity.

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Thank you also for acknowledging the excellent care provided here at Chorlton Place. We are currently implementing a new maintenance scheme within HC-One whereby we will have a dedicated decorating team working across the area. Once fully implemented, we will be scheduling some refreshment works within the home. We do have a full-time well-being coordinator in the post and a schedule over seven days of activities ongoing within the home. A monthly newsletter is available which details completed activities or any upcoming events. We would be happy to meet with you during your next visit to showcase the schedule and discuss any activities you feel would be beneficial within the home. Please let us know if you would like to arrange a suitable time and date to meet to discuss further.

I find Chorlton Place an excellent nursing home. Management and staff are always polite and very supportive. They are all very committed to providing the best care for their residents. The staff always makes me feel very welcome when visiting my Mother.
Chorlton Place is very clean and well-maintained.

care and support my Mother receives is excellent, thanks to dedicated hard hard-working management and staff.

Mum has settled at Chorlton Place. She enjoys her food here. The room is warm and comfortable. She enjoys the banter with the staff. She does complain to us there are not a lot of activities for her? She does enjoy listening to music here though.

Acceptable level of cleanliness of property, all the residents I have spoken to say they are unhappy here. Although they all say the food is nice.
I have seen new residents going from happy and friendly to low and tearful. The images are misleading, there is no flowers and smiley faces and there is
no minibus. There was a 2 day out of date menu last time I was there and a ‘timetable’ of ‘activities’. The main activities I have seen on a regular basis is an unqualified activity person handing out colouring sheets and jigsaws. The website is false advertising.

We strive to create an environment where residents can relax, and visitors can enjoy their visit with their loved ones. We have a range of activities planned daily for the people who live at the home. Residents are encouraged to take part and choose their own activity if they wish. Our wellbeing coordinator is highly motivated and is aware of residents’ needs. He has completed some life history work to ensure he understands a person’s preferences and wishes, and we offer one-to-one activity for the people who prefer not to join group activities. Activities are planned and the activity planner is displayed. At HC One we have a nutritionally balanced menu, and this is displayed daily. I am sorry you found an old menu displayed on the day of your visit, I have discussed this with the head chef and the team to ensure this does not happen again. We share a minibus with our sister home, and we are currently planning trips which will enable people who live at home to take part. We would be happy to arrange a meeting at a mutually convenient time to discuss your concerns raised and would always encourage people to approach the Home Manager to discuss any concerns in the first instance so that these can be resolved.

I have been and it all looks okay and the staff are nice. The area looks okay and gardens are well looked after. Everything is clean. I wish someone would answer the phone so I can speak to my mother but maybe they are busy.

My father receives excellent care at Chorlton Place Care Home. All his needs are catered for and he tells me he feels safe and happy. Staff from the managers and admin staff are always available to discuss concerns.
