Mum says the food is great. The place is always very clean + the staff are lovely. My one reservation is that there don't seem to be any/many activities - having said that, my mum might not join in, but they used to dance which she liked. I feel that she is safe + well looked after.

Reply from Cameron Murison, Home Manager at Chorlton Place Care Home

Thank you for your kind and honest review. We are delighted that your mum enjoys the food and feels safe and well cared for by our lovely team. We also appreciate your feedback about activities and recognise this as an area we need to strengthen. We will certainly keep her enjoyment of dancing in mind as we develop our activities programme.

My brother has now been in the Care Home for over 12 months and he is very happy. We are very happy too with the care and dignity he receives on a daily basis. Any medical issues are treated promptly. The staff are excellent and the communication is very good. Carun in the office is always very welcoming, helpful and professional. We feel relieved that he is in a very safe environment.

We cannot thank the team at Chorlton Place Care Home enough for the wonderful care they have shown to my brother Jon. From day one the staff have treated him with great dignity, warmth, and respect. The home is always clean, peaceful and welcoming. We are so grateful for the kindness, and patience of all the staff. They pay attention to Jons special needs and he is very happy with his surroundings. Information is always shared with us. We are very satisfied with the residential care that he receives.

My Nana has lived at Chorlton Place for just over a year now, I am extremely satisfied with how well she's looked after.
The food is lovely and hearty, the building is spotless and smells really fresh

And Caron from the office is a pleasure. She always keeps me well informed with how my Nana is doing on days I can't visit, and is always happy to help with any questions. She's always very well presented, and always smells amazing too!

My Mam Sheila has been a resident for almost 18 months and we are so happy she is there. All the staff from Caron at the front to the carers - Val, Adi, Juliet/Luwan, Sal the assistant manager, Ruksana her nurse are all absolutely brilliant. They care for her with dignity and are all so kind. I need also mention the cleaning staff as they also care for her every day - Sharon, Nimo, James, Stuart & Christina & Dawn are wonderful. I'm sorry if I have missed anyone! You are all brilliant & we are so grateful to you every day! Thanks so much x

I chose this home for my mother following a period of intense illness where it was decided she could not live alone.
Since moving into Chorlton Place, her general health has improved, her mental health has been better, and she's made friends with other residents and staff!
Everyone seems to genuinely care for her health and wellbeing, and the staff are always happy and smiling, joking with the residents while still being respectful and considerate of their individual needs. I

can highly recommend this location for care and dignity.

My mother was admitted to Charlton Place on 24th December 2024. She was on end of life care. The staff were welcoming, kind, caring and understanding from the start. Her room was bright and comfortable, which we enhanced with some of her own possessions. She wasn't eating but the staff still tried to encourage small amounts of food and drink. They remained positive up to her passing on the 9th January 2025. I am so grateful to everyone at the home.

Review from J K (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 11 November 2024 Submitted via Postal Card

My mother in law was left to die without dignity in great agitation, groaning, writhing in her bed crying out, all for her children to witness, including granddaughter and family friend. I found out that prior to her death, she has been in an agitated state for more than 2 weeks. After all her hard earned money was spent on poor care, she died in the most undignified way, showing to me the staff here have no idea of end of life or even empathy.

The staff are lovely and look after my dad very well. He is happy here. He likes the food. He likes going in the garden for a smoke with two staff members in particular. They both look after him and know his needs, and notice how he is each day. All the staff are brilliant too.

My mother has recently moved into Chorlton Place Care Home and she is like a new women.
Before arriving, she had given up on life and had nothing to look forward too, is bed bound. Even having a conversation was difficult, she wouldn't eat or try to eat.
She is now eating although little and the lovely carers hoist her out of bed so she can join what she calls 'the girls' for breakfast. She's had a shower and played Bingo.
The staff have booked her in with the hairdresser.
We have since had fantastic conversations with her and she is content.

Thank you to all the staff so far! We are looking forward to hearing what my mother joins in with next.

After a successful 2 and a half years of Mum living at Chorlton Place we sadly lost Mum, up until her final moment the staff went above and beyond to fulfil her needs. Mum was challenging at times but the staff never gave up with her, even at the end we were looked after as a family with nothing more than pure dignity.
